6 Going Down?
POV Hiccup
This kid is really trying to show that he is smarter than me and unfortunately it seems to be so. It was his plan for us to get into steering room and try to get this ship to shore. Anywhere, just to get us out from this death trap at sea. He has a point, we can’t stay here for long since first of all we would run out of food. That’s why we cannot stay in one place and hide until it’s clear.
“Which way was it again?” Anna asked from Hiro smiling while we were walking in the corridor. “It’s here, I think,” Hiro said and pointed forward. “I’m so glad that we were able to find a tour guide!” Flynn said aloud and threw his rifle to shoulder from the strap.
“Yeah,” Hiro said and the squeaking sound got louder when the nursing robot ran after Hiro. It was really drawn into him. I could see that Hiro wasn’t fine, it’s the look when person has missed something great. I knew that because I had seen it back when Elsa thought she had lost Jack.
I hurried my steps and went closer to Hiro, “Hey kid.” I started and he looks at me. “Yeah I can do some modifications to that flame throwing leg of yours,” he grinned. It made my jaw drop open but then I cleared my throat. “It’s perfectly fine as the way it is but I can see that you’re not alright. What’s the deal?” I asked.
Hiro glanced at me and then to floor. When he lifted his gaze and was about to say something I heard Punzie’s muffled scream. We all turned around and looked at her, she was pointing forward.
“Oh crap,” Hiro mumbled as he was the first to look at the way where Punzie pointed. Just where we were supposed to climb up the stairs and go to room where they steer the ship was a massacre. Crewmen were being eaten by a pack of zombies. They were zombies that were still looking quite normal people but with their flesh being chewed on, torn by someone else’s teeth and desire to feed.
Actually it makes me more sick to see just recently turned people than the ones who had been zombies for longer time and who are already rotting. The rotten ones you can kill without any hesitation, just slice their heads off and it’s much easier to stuff your knife inside their heads. The fresh zombies, well, you need more force and you can feel how the knife scratches the skull while it slides in. Also it’s bad to see a fresh zombie face to face since you can still see them more of a person with their eyes looking at you, it can paralyze you and then you might end up bitten. It’s like you have to abandon all of your humanity to fight them off.
“WAKE UP!” I feel a punch on my shoulder and I look into Merida’s turquoise blue eyes were staring at me and her expression was serious. “Oh, right!” I chuckled and run after her and others.
“THIS WAY!” Hiro shouted and he runs into stairway leading up. He was the fastest and smoothest runner. And when we were about half way to the next floor we heard a yell and loud steps running down. “DEFINITELY NOT THAT WAY!” Hiro screamed and patted Merida’s shoulder as he passed us.
“What now?” Merida groaned and then we heard it. Loud screams. Banging. Then the sound of chain breaking and soon someone was falling down. The person fell in front of me and I see that it’s a woman with snowy looking skin, deep red full lips and raven black short hair.
“Help us,” she whispers and holds her hand up. I was about to grab on it, help her up but then Merida pulled me back. “She’s bitten,” Merida whispered and I look at the girl. Her neck had a bite mark. My eyes flashed open and then I see how a light brown haired guy runs down, helping her up.
“We need to run,” the guy tells to the girl. “But Charming,” the girl exhales and looks into his brown eyes. Then the guy looks at us, “You should run too. I just barely managed to block the door again after I broke the chains for our escape.” My eyes wander to look at his white shirts sleeve where the blood red shade is slowly spreading. “Good luck. Come on Snow,” the guy tells us before taking Snow’s hand and runs down the stairs.
We hear a metallic bang ringing in the staircase. “That was odd,” we hear Punzie saying. “YEAH! But I don’t know about you guys but I’m not risking anything, let’s go after Hiro,” Anna whispers.
We all run down and Hiro is waiting us. “Where the heck were you! I just saw those two people coming down,” Hiro hissed and Punzie told him to figure out the best way to go.
“Uh.. well.. my brother wouldn’t like it,” Hiro said after being restless for a while. “Well, where are we going!” Kristoff said as the ship was slowly filling with the groaning sounds instead of the muffled screams that echoed on the walls just few moments ago. The numbers of the living were decreasing every minute we spent.
Hiro sighed, “It’s on the lowest deck. There are some possible weapons because I was umm…” I stare at him, waiting for him to continue.
“There was what?” Merida snapped and Hiro flinched a little. “We had some robotic fights there, gambling,” he mumbled. “ROBOTS!” I squealed and everyone looks at me. I cleared my throat quickly.
“Ahem, I mean. Be ashamed,” I grinned and Merida rolled her eyes. “Anyway, I think that we should move soon,” Kristoff whispered. He was holding the back. “Why is that?” Punzie whispered.
Kristoff pointed up, “It sounds like the door is breaking and who knows how much there are for us to face.”
“You guys,” Anna’s voice was high. “What?” Flynn whispered. “We have company,” Anna whispered and we see how the zombies that we saw near the steering room entrance are now approaching us.
“Yup! To bottom deck it is!” Flynn gulped and we all were now following Hiro who knew basically everything about this ship.
POV Elsa
We were running in the corridor when I saw it. “There’s the kitchen nearby!” I whispered to Jack who smiled. “So you’re hungry now? How about a small detour before going to meet others,” he chuckled a bit and my cheeks flushed.
“Yeah, I will go in first. Okay?” I smiled to Jack and he nodded his head. He was walking behind of me while we turned around and headed to right where the arrow was pointing. Gladly this corridor seemed safe since we had just arrived to floor that was mostly used by the ships staff. I could only think of one reason for this and it was the fact that most of the crew went to upper decks to help the passengers. They sure didn’t know where they got themselves into.
“Just be safe,” Jack whispered to me when I was about to open the door. “Sure I will,” I grinned to him as I placed my finger on the guns trigger. Slowly I went inside the kitchen, the light on the ceiling was flashing when the electricity seemed to be playing tricks on the ship.
The door closed behind of me and I took some small steps forward. The cooks had left in a hurry. Then I heard some muffled speaking. I lifted my gun in front of me and I went to check it out. The stainless steel surfaces where reflecting my image when I walked forward.
I was stunned for what I saw. There was a guy laying on the working desk. My eyes got wide when I realized that there was another guy on top of him, stroking his cheek and cupping it. He tilted his friends face upwards by gently pinching his fingers on his chin and lifting it for a kiss. They shared a long and passionate kiss and my cheeks got red while my jaw hang open.
“Oh Cry,” the one on top whispered and planted kisses to Cry’s jawline, going down to his neck and then kissing his shoulder. I see how Cry rubs the blonde guys back and slowly his hand wanders inside his shirt. “Haha, that tickles. Stop,” the blonde one laughs.
My hands fall to my sides and I stare at them. I don’t know what to do. Should I run? Shoot at them? Oh my gosh. “Never Pewds, never,” Cry whispers huskily and I see that he is wearing a mask on his face. Wait? Pewds and Cry? Mask? I freaking know this two.
Carefully I cleared my throat and I heard a wet sound when they ended their kiss, backing up and they both were now looking at me. Pewds cleared his throat, “What’s up bro!” He grinned to me and I was beyond the condition to have a chit chat. “We were just. Umm.. checking out the kitchen to have a break,” Cry laughed nervously.
“Oh,” I stated and they both started laughing. “Keep on doing.. whatever you were doing.. I just.. umm.. will go here and,” I said and backed up step by step. They started kissing again and the feeling of embarrassment got even worse.
When I was out from the kitchen Jack glances at me. “Well? Where’s the food?” He questioned and gave me a smirk. “There was none,” I said quickly and Jack cocked his eyebrow. “Oh, I can check it out too,” he said and grabbed onto the door handle.
I quickly pulled Jack’s hand away. “What’s wrong?” He sounded a bit surprised and my cheeks got red. “Do you like guys in that way? Uh.. if you don’t, I suggest that don’t go in there,” I said quickly and Jack flinched a bit.
“Anyway, let’s move,” I told him and I was pulling him after me. “What exactly did you see in there?” His voice was high. “Some guys.. doing.. something,” I muttered. “Oh,” Jack said and laughed afterwards. “You know them, Pewds and Cry,” I told him. Jack got silent. “Yeah,” I told him.
In silence we were heading towards a staircase. “I believe that it’s just couple decks up and then we’re in the right deck where their cabin is,” I told to Jack. When I went behind the corner where the staircase was I bumped into something. Quickly I raised my hand gun and I was getting ready to fire if it would be one of those zombies.
“Hiro!” I gasped when I saw the kid with black hair looking at me. “What sort of hero is that? Seems a bit out of shape for heroism,” Jack teased the kid. “It’s HIro,” Hiro said bitterly.
“I found Elsa!” Hiro shouted up and then I see how Merida, Hiccup, Punzie, Flynn, Anna and Kristoff run downstairs. “Elsa!” My sister shouted and pushed people aside while coming to hug me. “Hey,” Jack waved his hand and everyone said his name in unison. They were happy to see him.
“I’m sorry to interrupt you guys but., but.. “ Hiro mumbled. No one paid too much attention. Then I see how a big white figure runs down with a squeaking sound. “There’s 12 not so living people following,” the white figure said.
Then I heard the groaning. “We should MOVE!” Hiro shouted and then we heard something thumbing down the stairs. “They’re coming!” Hiro said and runs the stairs to one deck below this one. “Follow Hiro!” Jack shouted as he noticed the zombies coming down from one deck up.
We all run down, it seems that the white figure was pushing the things behind of it since it was almost enough for it to block the whole staircase.
“In here!” Hiro shouted when we reached the next deck. He was in the doorway of two double doors. We run to him and then Jack grabbed the other door and Hiccup the other. They were about to close them, to seal us from that zombie pack when Hiro stopped them. “Wait for Baymax!” Hiro shouted. Jack glanced at the waddling white figure and sighed, “Fine.”
When Baymax had run behind the doors and the guys had been punching the zombies back we were able to close the doors. Punzie stuffed her frying pans handle as a block to the door handles. Now we were safe for now in this corridor.
“What now?” Flynn panted and looks at Hiro. “We will go to next staircase and go to lowest deck. There we will find weapons that we can use inside the ship. We can’t go on shooting in here, the bullets will reflect back easily if they miss the target and hit a wall that’s made of steel,” Hiro explained and I look at Jack.
“The kid has got a point,” Jack said and placed his staff to ground. “My name is Jack Frost,” Jack smiled to Hiro and they shook hands.
BANG!
The zombies hit on the barricaded door hard. “I suggest that we go to the staircase now,” Anna gulped. We all agreed and got ourselves ready. Who knows what we’ll encounter on our way to arm ourselves.
