The guys can't believe what has happened. Min finished telling them what the woman kept repeating. 

 "The woman kept saying the baby should have been hers, and no one loved Jimin more than she did." 

He shakes his head in disbelief. "In all my years as security, I have never seen such a sasaeng as bad as that person."

An officer comes into the music room and recognizes Min. He moves towards him, and they shake hands. 

Min asks, "What have you found out? Anything?"

He looks around at the others and asks, "Who are they?" before answering Min.

Namjoon says, "We're family." 

The officer nods and says, "Some of our men traced the woman and arrested her. They also caught the person who helped her. The woman who attacked Mrs. Park lived in a small apartment, and the walls were covered with posters of Jimin and other materials related to Mr. Park. In her bedroom, we found a framed fake marriage certificate beside an AI picture of the woman in a wedding dress standing with Jimin."

Another officer walks in carrying a small box, approaches them, and says, "Here you go, sir. They just dropped this off." He thanks her, and the young officer leaves.

"Who would recognize Mr. Park's things?" he asks them.

They all step forward, but Jungkook says, "I'll do this."

 The others step back, letting him go through the box.

Jungkook begins to take things out of the box. Everything inside was in its own evidence bag. The first bag pulled out had Jimin's watch in it.

Jungkook says, "He thought he lost this last week. We looked everywhere for it." He goes back to taking things out of the box: cuff links, two rings, a pair of Jimin's underwear, and his favorite T-shirt. 

Jungkook gasps when he removes an evidence bag with Aera's wedding ring set in it.

 Namjoon steps closer and says, "What is it? What's wrong, Koo?!"

Jungkook holds the bag up with her wedding ring set in it and says, "Aera had to remove her rings because her fingers were a little swollen. She called Jimin one day, crying and saying she couldn't find them. Jimin, Tae, and I searched everywhere for them and couldn't find them. We practically turned the place upside down looking for them."

Shocked, Jungkook looks at everything he has taken out of the box. He recognizes that some things had been missing for weeks and some for days. Astonished, he says, "Oh my god, that woman's been sneaking in their house!" 

He looks at his hyungs with wide, doe-eyed fear. "She kept saying things were missing, and we thought she just misplaced them." Regret shows in his eyes that they brushed it all aside.

Namjoon, disgusted with himself,  frowns as he runs his hand through his hair. "Shit! We even teased her about it!"

J Hope says with remorse, "We should have done more."  He feels so bad about not taking you seriously. He had never been around a pregnant woman before and thought the others were right; it was just hormonal changes making you forget things and become oversensitive.

Jin says, "We should have taken her seriously. We thought it was just hormonal things making her extra emotional."

"Exactly what I was thinking," says J Hope.

"We could have provided more security!" Exclaims an angry Namjoon.

The officer says, "It's not your fault. Sometimes, all the right security isn't enough to stop them."

  AT THE HOSPITAL:

 As soon as you arrived, they quickly determined that you needed emergency surgery to save your life as you had already lost so much blood. About thirty minutes later, Taehyung entered the hospital complex and headed to the emergency entrance.

He drops Jimin off at the entrance to the Emergency room while he goes and parks. Taehyung calls your twin sister and tells her what has happened. She tells him she will catch a flight as soon as possible and begs him to keep her informed until she arrives. Tae has always had a soft spot in his heart for her, but he wishes he was seeing her again under better circumstances.

Ending the call as he walked across the parking lot to the entrance of the ER, he put his phone away and ran in to meet Jimin at the ER registration desk. The receptionist told them what floor you would be taken to once you left the recovery room.

Holding Jimin's hand, they went to your room together. When they reached the room, a nurse was making the bed, and she turned when they entered.

"Where is she? Where is my wife?" a panicked Jimin asks, his eyes becoming blind with tears. His heart was already shattering.

She frowns and says, "I'm so sorry for your loss, Mr. Park."

Tae and Jimin gasped in shock. Jimin crumbles to the floor, his body racked with sobs. Thinking You have died.

Tae goes to the nurse. "What do you mean!? Is she dead!?" his tears are flowing freely as he grips the nurse's arm, waiting for an answer. 

She squirms, trying to get away. "No, no, she is still in recovery. Let me go!"

 Tae shouts, "Then what did you mean by sorry for your loss?!"

 She didn't get to answer as Jimin raised his head and said, "Our baby, our baby's gone." 

Tae goes to Jimin and holds him as he cries. The nurse quickly leaves the room.

Tae and Jimin are still holding onto each other when the head nurse comes in. "Gentlemen, they are bringing Mrs. Park up now. If you could step out until they get her transferred and settled, I will come and get you as soon as they are done."

Jimin protests when she gently touches his shoulder: "Mr. Park, she is still groggy but doing well. They tell me she has been calling for you since she started coming out of anesthesia. I promise I will come and get you as soon as she is ready."

Not long after, true to her word, the head nurse comes to the family waiting room and approaches Jimin and Tae. 

"Mr. Park, you can go to her now."

 He looks up and wipes his eyes. "Thank you." 

Tae stands with him, taking his hand as they walk to your room. Before reaching your room, Jimin tries to put on a brave face for you.

But once he sees you, his brave face is gone. Jimin hurries over to the bed and takes your hand, careful of the IV. "Sweetheart, Love." He lets his tear travel down his cheeks, waiting for you to open your eyes and talk to him.

 You open your eyes and look at Jimin and start to cry, "Oh, Jimin, our baby, she's gone."

Jimin's face and eyes are wet with tears as he murmurs, "A girl? We had a baby girl?" You nod, and he wipes your eyes. 

He says, "She's our angel. She will always be our little angel." 

He leans down, resting his head over your heart, listening to it beat, and you both cry tears of loss and grief. He whispers, "Angel, let's call her Angel." 

You agree, and tears fall as you run your hand lovingly through Jimin's hair. "Yes, our Angel."

Jimin understood that perfection had come at too great a cost, and he has learned that he is loved for all that he is, and that he is . . . human.

Taehyung wipes his eyes and leaves the room to give them privacy. He lets the others know, and they are devastated by the news of the loss of the baby but glad to know that you are alive. Then, a short while later, he calls your sister, and they talk for half an hour while she is in a taxi on the way from the airport to the hospital. He goes outside to wait for her.

As soon as he sees a taxi pulling up, he starts forward, and she exits with tears in her eyes. She rushes to his open arms, dropping her travel bag.

He quickly takes her in his embrace. "Oh, Maddie, how I've missed you."
