It's all my fault!!

After getting Jimin to the bedroom, Jungkook tries to console him and help him get out of his bloody clothes.

Jimin looks at Jungkook. "It's all my fault!" He covers his mouth as he starts to sob again.

"Come on, Hyung." He leads Jimin to the bathroom and turns the shower on.

Jimin is just standing there crying. "It's all my fault. It's all my fault. I should have answered the phone."

He whimpers softly as he looks at Jungkook: "Kooki, it's all my fault. It's all my fault."

Jungkook had never seen his hyung this broken, which hurt him to the core. He hugged Jimin, trying to console him.

"Hyung, shower, and then once you're dressed, we'll go to the hospital, okay?"

Jungkook wipes tears from his own eyes as Jimin numbly nods. After the water has warmed up, he helps Jimin get in the shower. "Are you going to be okay? I want to go check on Min."

Jimin silently steps into the shower spray, letting it cascade over his body. He nodded, and Jungkook headed back to find that Min was now in the music room with a few officers.

The authorities are talking to Min, and he explains what happened. One officer takes notes while the other photographs the crime scene. Other officers start arriving and investigating the yard, the kitchen, and the living room, collecting evidence and taking pictures. They mark off the backyard patio, living room, hallway, and kitchen with crime scene tape.

Another ambulance showed up for Min, but he refused, telling them he would go with Jimin or Jungkook. They had him sign a medical release form, gave him a copy, and left.

After the officer finishes taking Min's statement, Jungkook sits beside him.

"Min, what happened?"

Min starts to speak, his head resting in his hands, "It seems a sasaeng found out she and Jimin were expecting . . ."

There is a knock at the front door, and Jin and the others rush in, only to be stopped by the officers.

The officer closest to the door tells them. "Sorry, this is a crime scene. You can't come in."

This freaked the guys out. Jin cries out, "A crime scene!?"

Jungkook, seeing their panic, calls to them, "Come through the music room door. It's not cordoned off."

The officer at the door nods, and they rush back out to enter by the music room door, away from the crime scene. They listen to Min explain what happened while the investigating officer takes notes.

Everyone is in shock as they see Jimin enter the room. In a broken voice, he says, "I need to go to her," and he sits with his head in his hands, crying.

"Why didn't I answer her calls . . . this is my fault."

He lifts his sad face and tells them, "I listened to her voice messages. She was begging me to come home."

He wipes his eyes and nose. "She said Min went out to check what was making the noise on the side of the house and that she was scared."

He begins to cry again. "And then I hear her crying out for me."

He stands and yells, "If only I had picked up the damn phone!! If only I had answered!" he falls to his knees, sobbing.

Taehyung hugs Jimin, helping him stand. "Come on, I'll take you to her." Jungkook starts to step forward as he had told Jimin he would take him, but Taehyung holds up his hand to stop him. "I got this, Koo."

An officer approaches Jungkook. "Sir, we need to ask you some questions. So we need you to stay behind."

Jungkook nods and sits as he watches Tae and Jimin leave. At the same time, the officer questions Jungkook, Min is still explaining what happened to the other officers and the guys.

He leads Jimin out to his car. The others let him know they will be along shortly.

After Taehyung had walked Jimin out, Min continued explaining what had happened.

"We heard thumping against the outside of the house. She said that is what she had been hearing. I went to check and saw someone in the yard. I yelled at them, but they took off. I was coming back to the house when I heard her screaming. I had to break the glass door to get back in. I saw the sasaeng hitting her, and she went down before I could get in. Poor little thing was on the floor trying to protect herself and the baby."

He shakes his head, disappointed in himself for not protecting you. He wipes his face of silent tears with his hand. Guilt is gnawing at his insides for leaving you alone in the house. He had no idea this was a well-planned assault by two people, one obsessed with Jimin and the other a hater of the group, especially Jimin, who was happy to help hurt him in any way possible. It seemed his posts on the internet weren't enough to hurt Jimin like he felt he needed to be.

The others are stunned and silent as Min continues his story. "The woman was crazy, at least I think it was a woman, yelling the baby should have been hers.  Once I got in, I lunged at the crazy bitch to make her come after me. I led the fight into the kitchen to get that crazy person away long enough for Aera to get somewhere safe."

He runs his hand over his face and looks at the guys. "I dodged right when I should have dodged left, and she hit me with a roundhouse kick. I've never seen a woman do that quickly before. It connected with the side of my face, knocking me off balance, and I knocked myself out when my head hit the kitchen counter. That's all I remember. Till Jungkook helped me."

He looked at them, and tears fell. "She wasn't moving. I, I couldn't protect her." They gathered around Min; he was like family to them, and they comforted him like they would each other.

Min didn't know that if he hadn't gotten in when he did, the person would have gladly killed you with no remorse. He might have been tricked, and that caused you to be hurt, but he saved your life.

Maybe . . .
