The first thing you thought of when you saw Jungkook still standing near the table was your last encounter with him. You were lucky to get away from him that time but it left you with fear and it gave you chills everytime you thought about it. Seeing him on the other side of the table made you intertwine your fingers to stop them from shaking.

As Jungkook walked to the other side of the table where Mr Choi was sitting, he stopped in his tracks to make sure he was seeing his ex-girlfriend and he was excited when he confirmed it.

When he looked away and continued approaching the other side of the table, Mr Choi got up from his seat and smiled at him. "You're welcome, Sir. This young lady here is the newest member on our team. She actually signed the contract a few minutes before you walked in. She's Miss Y/n."

Jungkook stared at you as he shoved his hands in his pockets and was thrilled but needed to act calm. His attention shifted when Mr Choi pulled out a chair for him and said, "Please have a seat".

When Jungkook sat down on the other side, he was directly facing you. He kept his eyes on you and his gaze felt sinister. It had been long since he looked at you like that and having him in front of you and seeing that expression in his eyes again sent shivers down your spine.

Before he had walked in, you were so glad to have a job and even looked forward to working but seeing Jungkook made you want to leave because you didn't feel safe anymore and felt like you were in the wrong place.

Since there was silence, you could feel your fast heartbeat and your temperature was rising with fear. You tried to control your breathing because your chest went up and down rapidly and it was going to be obvious that something was going on with you.

Mr Choi didn't even notice anything strange because he had his eyes on the contract which Jungkook was looking at, which he didn't even read. The whole time Jungkook had his head low, pretending to read, he slightly raised the corner of his mouth because he saw you again. He knew you were shocked to see him and so was he but he did a better job at hiding it. "Here you go," he said as he gave the papers back to Mr Choi.

Mr Choi gently clapped once and said, "Now that it's done, you can start tomorrow. For today, just get to know the building."

Jungkook let go at that moment and your hand was in pain and looked red. You rubbed your fingers and Jungkook knew he had hurt you and he just stared at you with his head tilted.

You immediately got up from your seat and cleared your throat while looking at Mr Choi. "Um.. thank you. Excuse me." You headed to the door and rushed out.

Jungkook's eyes followed your figure. "I finally found you,"

You were back home and many hours had gone by and you didn't even dare to leave the houses. You were in bed all curled up and couldn't eat anything because you had a lot running through your mind.

Why did it have to be Jungkook? This is terrible! The worst part is that I signed the contract. Why does it feel like I signed a contract with the devil? Oh, damn you Jungkook! I should stop thinking about this because it won't change anything.

To distract yourself from your disturbing reality, you reached for your phone and called Taehyung.

Taehyung: "Baby! How are you? How did it go?"

Y/n: "Well, I got the job."

Taehyung: "You don't sound happy. Is everything okay?"

Y/n: "Everything is fine. I'm just tired.. that's all."

Taehyung: "Oh I see. We should go on a date this weekend. I'll buy whatever you want."

Y/n: "I like the sound of that. Let's do it then."

He started kissing you through the phone.

Y/n: "Seriously? Taehyung..hey!"

Taehyung: "Okay I'll stop now. Goodnight."

After the call, you sighed with your eyes shut and couldn't stop thinking about what happened earlier. Taehyung didn't even know about Jungkook.

Should I tell him? And then what? Ugh whatever! So I'm supposed to address my ex as boss?Mr Jeon? This is unbelievable. At least he won't be at the office for the next few weeks. I mean that's what Mr Choi said. He only comes once or twice a month so I can work in peace. No worries.

The next day, you were walking behind Mr Choi with some files and you had no idea what was happening so you decided to ask. "Excuse me, Sir. I've been following you for quite some time now but where are we going?"

Mr Choi looked back at you and chuckled.

"We're going to the top floor, Mr Jeon's office,"

You stopped in your tracks and he continued. "It's a surprise to many but he's come even today. He must be in a mood to work."
