Chapter 1:Deadly moon
Chapter 1: Deadly Moon
It was the first day; and the last. I headed down the infinite path in the twilight woods, my body dripping crimson tears that stained my long white hair. I was barely able to carry myself down to the shore. The moon was illuminating my hair as a gentle breeze of hope brushed by.
Then there I was, on a cliff with the ocean beneath me. I just sat there, bleeding, ready to face my uncertain fate. I thought to myself, why was I pierced with this wicked blade? I had no regret, but the sadness has consumed me with the sinful memories of the past. My blood-colored eyes have stained the world. I'm not human nor demon.
Alone again, I danced the night away. I cried, but shed no tears. I had to live, but I could no longer move. I am a white rose stained with the blood of humanity. I need a hero to save me. I can't trust anyone. Not even myself. I don't even know what I'm doing. I shut myself off from emotion but that brings me nothing.
With all hope abandoned, I fell off the cliff. When I fell, I truly felt no pain. Before I blacked out, as I got closer to the ground, I saw something. Someone.
Then I blacked out.
~
It was almost one in the morning. I sat there on the beach in solitude, trying to get away from all the stress in life.
I was a part of a dark gang called Midnight. I was their leader, Ash. Midnight needed more members, so I was out looking for "that person". I needed someone strong, but not stupid; someone like me. But all this looking had got me nothing but stress. It was really boring.
I got up and started to walk near this cliff, when I saw it. Saw her.
She looked about the same age as me. She was covered in blood, falling to the ground. I ran as fast as I could and with one swift motion caught her. She had a sword in her left side. Black, with a dark feel to it. It was almost as if she were a defeated goddess in the hands of a wretched demon.
She was looked to be on the brink of death, so I picked her up and carried her to my motorcycle. It's sleek black color glowed with neon green lightning bolts on the side.
We rode back to my apartment so I could patch her up. I opened the doors to the lobby. No one was there. I took the elevator up to my room. Once I opened the door, my older brother, to my surprise, was sitting on the couch, playing the newest dating game.
He was a bit of a perv, but still a good doctor.
"Hey lil'... bro?" said Walker, staring by the bleeding body in my arms.
"Can you patch her up?" I asked nervously.
Shaking his head, Walker said "You leave for 5 hours and you come back with an almost dead girl".
All that was on my mind was, Is she going to live? Good thing Walker was home, otherwise I probably couldn't have saved her. Walker picked the girl up and brought her to the couch. She was still breathing, thank goodness, just unconscious. I watched as Walker slowly pulled the sword out of her. All he had to do after that was clean her wounds and stitch her stab wound.
"Well Walker, she's in your hands. I need to go take a shower," I said.
"Alright -- don't be too long," Said Walker in a worried tone.
I walked down the hall and got to the bathroom. I looked back one more time before entering, just to make sure everything would be fine. I closed the door behind me and looked down at my blood stained clothes. I knew my fate has just changed, but for the better. I got in the shower, turned the water on, and watched the blood go down the drain.
I walked over to Walker and saw her laying peacefully sleeping.
"She will be ok, but she will need to stay in bed for a while," he explained
.
"When will she wake up?" I asked.
"Anytime now," said Walker happily as he headed to the kitchen. "You want some coffee, or tea?"
"I'm good. Thanks anyways."
"Well, I'm heading to bed," said Walker yawning.
"Ok, night" I said also yawning.
After Walker left, I sat down on the couch across from the one the mysterious girl was on. I slowly fell asleep looking at her. I have to wait for her to wake up, I thought. But then I fell asleep.
"Ash wake up! Come on Ash!"
"What is it?" I said groggily while blinking.
"Ash, you better get over here!" said Walker in a worried tone.
I got up and walked to the couch. I saw the girl, crying and shaking. I tried to wake her up, but nothing happened, so I sat next to her on the couch.
"Walker, what should we do?" I asked, scared.
"I don't know."
She started to move a bit and tense up. Then all of the sudden, she woke up. The first thing I saw were her eyes. Her crimson stare paralyzed me. Walker wasn't moving either.
After a few blinks she said with a warm voice quietly "Am I alive?"
With my shaking voice I said, "Yes, you are safe."
She looked over at me with a stare that could kill. Then she relaxed and tried lifting herself up. Walker quickly ran over and told her to lay down so her stitches did not open. She cringed when a shock of pain went through her body.
"Ash, go get some pain medicine." said walker.
I ran into the bathroom, grabbed the medicine, and ran back to Walker.
"Here, take this," Walker said as he handed her water and a pill.
She quickly swallowed the pill along with a gulp of water then she set the cup down.
"My name is Walker, and that's Ash," Walker said sweetly.
~
I awoke with two guys near me. One was kinda muscular with snake bite piercings. He looked about my age. He had short hair, navy blue, but almost black like night. He was wearing a plain black shirt and jeans. The other guy looked like the first one, but older and with short blonde hair. He was wearing a black tie, a white shirt, and black pants. They both seemed nice.
What mess I got myself into. After I took the pain medicine, the younger boy, apparently named Ash, and the older one, named Walker, kept staring at me like I was a alien.
"What's your name?" asked Ash.
"Luna," I said.
"Luna... that's a pretty name" Walker said. "So, Luna, what happened to you?"
Then suddenly, vivid memories of the past haunted me.
