"Nubia you have to wake up. Come on sweety you need to get up." I hear my dad's voice as he is singing rubbing my head. The warmth from his hands on my head lets me know he is okay but for some reason, I can't open my eyes. "Before you go Nubia we need you to know we are with you. The souls you kill will join you. We are your army. Don't tell anyone." The vices fade away and so do the shadows. Ugh, why does my body hurt so bad? This feels like a hangover. I finally opened my eyes. I look my dad in his eyes and get up so fast to hug him. "Nubia, where are we?" He asks looking around my room. "Well, Dad you choose a true winner. Not only is she pretty she is a psycho that wants me joking her army and take out god and Lucifer." He looks at me and I just realized the devil's name is indeed Lucifer. I wonder what God's actual name is. My dad stopped my thoughts. " Yessica did this. Wait I was at dinner with her when we were about to be mugged I told her to run and they beat the shit out of me and that's all I remember." Of course, my dad would protect her this is how she was able to make Valentine look like my father and have her guards take his actual body here. "Well, Dad you were tricked just like the rest of us. Your girlfriend is the soul eater that was hunting me. We thought she wanted to consume my soul but she doesn't want that. She wants me to join her and I honestly don't have a choice all the people I care about hang in the balance." I look away feeling defeated all over again. He grabs my hand and pats it in his. "We will figure this out, sweetie. We don't have to join her yet. We can make a plan." And he sounds so hopeful but then I have to fill him in on all that I have done since I was here. I also admit to killing three people and one getting beheaded by the wicked witch. I let him know there are some other things we need to discuss but later at night.

A guard comes in after I am dressed and my father brushes himself up. The Gaurd looks at me and then at him. "He's all healed we will both be going down for breakfast." The guard just shakes his head and walks us down the hallway. We are joined by Yessica and no one else. "Hello, my love so glad you are alive and kicking." Her voice pisses me off. "Yes, thanks to my daughter and not you." He smirks at her and then it disappears as soon as it comes. Three maids come out and serve us our food. "Yessica, if there is anything harmful in my father's food I will end your life and mine without even thinking." As I look her dead in her eyes. She scoffs and walks over and eats from his plate she even goes as far as drinking from his cup. "Darling can't you believe how little your daughter trusts me." She says to my father and my dad looks at her and shakes his head as he begins to eat. "Let's not play dumb here Yessica I know you will do anything just to make sure I am aligned with you and your rules. Well, I'm not going anywhere but I do need to make sure my other faeries are safe before I do what you are asking me to do." I take a bit of my bacon as I finish. "Garuda bring in the crystal balls please." She snaps her fingers and seven guards come into the room that shows my mother who is trying to figure out where I am. Ezikel is talking to people who look like he is in the holy palace. Clarissa and Ezikel of course are engaged in having sex and I just feel betrayed. His fucking deal is nothing. He is a man whore. Candy is what looks like in a forest. "How do I know this is real," I ask with no hesitation to call her a liar. "Because I bugged all your friends of course. Even your mother doesn't even know they are being watched. So sad about your friend Feya. I wonder what's happening with the universe since her death." She says as she laughs at the last part and then I realize she doesn't know about Feya and she doesn't know about Atlas. Okay, mental note there are two people and an animal I can depend on. My eyes start to water and I start to fake cry this way she doesn't think I know either. "Why are you crying? Nova make your daughter stop crying right now." Yessica's voice sounds annoyed with me crying. "It's okay sweetie I know you will miss your friend and I know you were hoping she was still alive. I'm so sorry." He is patting my back and he is selling it. My dad knows that Feya is alive and he knows that I also am hiding a guardian. To make it more believable I get up and walk out of the room my dad just follows and as I feel his hand realize for a moment I look to see what he is doing and just like that my dad is a fucking badass guy he flips off a girl that could easily kill him. We get back to my room and try to hide our laughter. He is holding both hands over his mouth as he tries to make himself as quiet as possible.

There is a knock at my door and a guard comes in and bows his head. "It's time." I feel this guy is afraid of me because I have seen him look Yessica in the eyes with no fear. I nod at him and my dad holds an okay sign up to me. Little does he know that I am going to go kill someone. The guard grabs my arm as we exit the for her grabs my arm and bows down to me. "I know what you are and I stand with you. Don't die in there." He walks me to the fighting rink and I feel special that he was willing to do that in the hallway. The bowing was a little too much but I get it. He was showing me that he was devoted to me. A woman with short red hair comes onto the rink and she looks at me with I think anger. She doesn't even wait to hear Yessica rules and she slams me down to the ground. She lifts me and slams me into the ground over and over. Holy shit she is like She-Hulk. But then she gets me a. Position where she can whisper in my ear. "You're going to have to kill me so my soul can be absorbed by you. It's okay I trust you and I know my soul will be deemed to come back. You need to kill me, Nubia." She loses her grip so that I can start taking charge of the fight. We give them the best show and when she is down on the ground Yessica throws down the blade. I grab it and hover it over the chest. "I am so sorry. Please forgive me." As I put the blade through her chest. Tears streaming down down my face. I have never killed someone. With my intention of making sure they did die. I walk off the mat and back to my room where my dad looks at me and then watches a blue spirit appear in my room. The spirit enters my body and I fall to my knees sobbing. My dad runs over to hold me till my tears dry and I start to feel less.
