Seventh Bite -7-
We rode in silence and occasionally we saw stragglers moaning at us as we passed them, but paid them no mind. Soon, Takashi stopped and glanced down at the city below. Lots of them were milling about and the younger boy frowned before he looked at me a bit unsure.
"Do you think that help will come for us?"
I patted his shoulder sympathetically. "No."
He merely nodded and looked back down at the scene. "While Rei and I were on the rooftop of the school, helicopters flew right over us and didn't stop. I guess no one can be bothered to help us when they got their own problems to worry about." I said nothing in response as a loud groan sounded from behind us.
"Ah, it would seem that they caught up to us. Let's go." The brunette nodded and took off down the street, sending my hair flying behind me. I cuddled close to his back, stifling a giggle when the poor teen tensed at the feeling of me pressed against him. I wondered how Shizuka and the others were fairing with Shido. I hoped everything was alright. I knew for a fact that the man was grating on their nervous by now by spewing his theatricals.
"Minato, how do you know Shido?"
I blushed again at the sound of my name rolling off his tongue. "As I said before, I attended Fujimi academy two years ago. While Shido wasn't my teacher, he was the one who scolded me for getting into so many fights and tried to discipline me."
"What? How?"
"That lowlife is extremely sadistic and loved indulging debauchery with the young female students. He tried that with me, but I kicked his ass and gave him a concussion as well as amnesia."
"So that's why he didn't recognize you until you introduced yourself?"
"Yes, but before the whole incident with him, I met Shizuka who had just started working there since she was the one that always patched me up after the fight. We became friends, and stayed that way even after I graduated."
"Now the others are with that guy," the brown haired boy gritted his teeth, but I squeezed him gently to calm down as he swerved just a bit.
"Rei, Saeko, and Kohta won't let that bastard do anything. They'll be alright, Takashi."
He nodded and sighed to himself as we slowly made our down the barren street where the street light flickered ominously to flash at the bloodstained ground and buildings. "We need to stop soon for some gas."
"And maybe they will have snacks!" I perked up at the mentioned of food. The male chuckled as we passed several cats sniffing at the blood on the curb. Huh, so animals don't turn then? Strange. Everything was such a mess, that's for sure.
"There's no one here." He observed as he slowed to a stop. "They probably ran away or died and turned into one of them."
"But they'd be walking around, wouldn't they?"
"Maybe they went to chase after the living."
I nodded my head at his theory before spotting a car with its headlights on on the corner. "Look!" I pointed it out as I jumped off the bike. Takashi turned it off and kicked up the stand before taking his bat from me. When we approached I shook my head in disappointment. The car was crushed by a large semi-truck and the police officers were still in the car, but thankfully dead due to them smashing their head on the dashboard.
"Damn it. Are you serious?!" I ignored his complaining and approached the car. "Minato! There's gas leaking from it; don't get too close!"
"It's a police car, Takashi. There has to be something useful in it." He sighed and let me continue as he looked out for any wanders. I checked the back seat and spotted a black duffel bag. I took it and laid the items out on the seat of the bike. Handcuffs, the keys for the handcuffs, a whistle, and a small handgun.
"That's it?" Without a word, I handed him bloody bullets I managed to take from the other gun that one of the officers had a death grip on. Pun intended.
"Do you know how to use a gun?" I asked him curiously as he picked it up.
"No, but I'm willing to learn. What about you?"
"Of course, I'm not a weapons expert for nothing, but handguns aren't really my style. Keep it, okay?" I stashed the handcuffs and keys in my back pocket and placed the metal whistle on the ground.
The 2nd year student carefully put the gun in his front pocket before getting on the bike, taking it off its stand and starting it up. "To the gas station." Smiling, I took his bat and held it along with my machete as he took off once again. It took us around ten minutes to get to the self-serve Shaun gas station . "Shit!" the boy clicked his tongue in disapproval.
"What is it?" I looked up from the ground towards him.
"I forgot that this is a self-serve station. We need to slide a card or put in some cash for it to work."
"And?" I raised a brow as he sheepishly rubbed his neck.
"I don't have any money. Do you?"
"My bag is with the others. Sorry," I shook my head. He sighed and looked at the store before going towards it. "Scream if anything happens, okay?"
"Mhm." I leaned against the pump and relaxed, listening out for any groans before I flinched at the the sound of something being smashed and change falling to the ground. "Seems like he is having fun." I giggled to myself before hearing heavy breathing near me. Before I could react, an arm wrapped around my waist in a tight grasp and a knife was put to my neck, making me cry out.
"Minato?" I heard Takashi call out from inside. I squirmed in the unknown male's grasp frantically.
"Hey! Stop moving around, bitch!" he grunted before pressing the knife into my skin.
"Minato, what's wrong?" Takashi finally ran out, money poking out from his pocket. He narrowed his light brown eye when he saw me within some stranger's arms.
The guy laughed as his forearm pushed up my boobs. "Hey bro, your girl is pretty hot!"
"Let her go!" The teen growled, tightening his grip on his bat. I shook my head slightly when he made a move to come at us.
"Are ya stupid? Like hell I'd do that!" He crackled again as he buried his face in my neck, inhaling roughly. I shuddered in disgust when he licked at it with his slimy tongue. "If I want to survive in this world, I'll need a woman." The guy gripped at the blazer of Takashi's and tugged at it teasingly.
"Are you crazy?!" the 2nd year narrowed his eyes.
"Damn right I am! I watched my entire family get eaten in front of me, and then I had to kill them all! My parents, my grandmother, my brother, hell even my little sister man! Who wouldn't go bat shit crazy after that?" I shoved at him and tried to run to my companion, but the guy recovered fast and made a grab for me.
"Takashi!" I cried out in pain when my left breast was grabbed harshly. Yelping and gasping in pain, I closed my eyes and waited for this whole thing to be over.
"Minato!" at the sound of his voice, tears started to stream down my face as I continued to struggle. It was too much like Shido for my tastes, but this random guy was larger and much bigger than the bastard. And the pain was crippling. It was like the douche was trying to rip my whole boob off my chest.
"Her tits, her ass, and her voice is sexy as hell! Everything is so big and n-nicely proportioned! You've fucked her, right?! Every day, night, hour?! Or....could it be that you haven't yet?" He screamed with laughter. He tore at the buttons that held the blazer together, sending them flying in many directions and exposing my red, lacy bra once again.
"T-Takashi!" I sobbed, flinching when the knife was nudged against my cheek. I've never felt so powerless before in my life. I was always independent, and took care of anyone that opposed me like it was nothing. But now that I knew that I could depend on others to keep me safe, I weakened just a bit. And look at where it go me.
"Hey, give me the bat, bro!" I opened my eyes just a bit to see Takashi staring at me with concerned brown eyes before he tossed the bat away from him, towards the bike. It clanged loudly and I knew that he planned it all out in his head. The noise would attract them and hopefully go for the idiot groping me. "I'm taking your bike and your bitch, you got that?"
"Just take the bike and leave us alone. I got the cash to fill it up with gas, so you'd be fine to leave with it."
"No, the girl will be mine too. Now, fill up the bike or this slut gets it."
"Alright, calm down." Giving me one last look, the brunette did as he was told and began filling up the bike with gas while keeping his gaze locked on us. Being petty, the guy slid his hand down to my belt and unbuckled it before popping the button. I protested, but was rewarded with a shallow cut between my collarbone. Blood ran down between my breast and decorated my torso lightly before it pooled in my bellybutton.
"Hey!" Takashi put the cap to the fuel tank back on and started for us, but came up short when the guy slashed at the air in front of us.
"Shut up! Do you want me to kill you too?" So, he was planning on killing me anyways? The boy in red shifted his hand closer to where the gun rested, but did nothing else.
"Hey, why don't we--"
"Shut up!" the guy slashed at the air again and Takashi whipped out the gun, running towards us and aimed the gun at the other male's shoulder. He pulled back the hammer and glared into the taller male's beady eyes.
"I've never fire a gun before, but I can't miss at point-blank range." I stare at the younger boy in awe before glancing at the frozen and terrified molester.
"A-Are you crazy? It'll ignite the gasoline!"
Takashi gained a dark look, causing my heart to flutter. "It's a lot better than giving you my girl!" My heart nearly exploded. He pulled the trigger and the guy went down, screaming. I was pushed forward and I tumbled into Takashi's awaiting arms, my ears ringing.
"FUCK! YOU FUCKING SHOT ME!" He wailed pathetically as he rolled on the ground. I moved away from Takashi before standing over the bleeding male, my machete gleaming in the light.
"You piece of shit."
"Don't do it, Minato." I looked over at him, my eyes stormy and thirsting for revenge. The 2nd year got on the bike and looked back at me with a solemn look. "We don't have time to deal with him. After all, the noise we made was loud." I inhaled sharply and looked behind me, seeing dozens of zombies making their way over to us. I huffed and ran to the bike, settling behind him. I didn't like it, but that guy will get what's coming to him.
"H-Hey! You're just gonna leave? Leave me here?! Come on, please help me!" We sent him a glare and left without saying a word. I hope he suffers. "HEY!" All we could hear was his screams, sobbing, and pleads for us to come back until it was cut off abruptly.
The sun broke through the various clouds as we sped up the hill. I sighed tiredly and placed my head up the boy's back. "Get some rest, ne?" He suggested quietly and I hummed in agreement.
"Thank you, for everything, Kashi-kun," I murmured sleepily before I welcomed the darkness. Unknown to me, Takashi blushed at the nickname and smiled softly as he welcome the breeze through his hair.
"I'd do it again and again for you, Mina."
