42. MURDER
As Swara woke up in the morning, her half-open eyes and pouty lips radiated an irresistible cuteness, despite her evident fatigue. She found her head resting on Sanskar's chest, serving as a pillow. Their legs were entwined, and the soothing sound of his heartbeat – lub dub – filled her ears.
These were the most intimate moments they'd shared yet. Swara's cheeks flushed with a delicate pink hue as she realized her position. She longed to escape before Sanskar woke up, knowing he wouldn't let this slide easily. He'd tease her mercilessly, and she couldn't handle that right now.
But seems like today luck was not in her favourite. Swara's gaze drifted upward, meeting Sanskar's warm eyes. His gentle smile and soft hold on her hand reassured her.
"Good morning," Sanskar whispered, his voice low and his lips curved smirk.
Swara's voice was barely audible. "Morning..."
"Slept well jaan" he whispered his breath fanning her ears giving lots of butterflies in her stomach.
"Sanku leave me" she made most innocent face to melt him but Sanskar's smirk deepend knowing her trick
"Jaan, you know it's not going to help you right" he nuzzles in her back hair she smelled like lavender.
"But there is no tax in trying right" she giggled feeling ticklish.
"I love you my snow white" he said softly with hint of possessiveness.
"Sanku, I want to go to office" she looks at him with twinkling eyes "it's been long time"
As Sanskar gently lifted Swara off his chest, she felt a pang of separation. "Mmm, okay, I'll drop you, get ready," he whispered, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine.
Sanskar carefully helped Swara out of bed, supporting her as she stretched her sleepy limbs. He guided her toward the bathroom, his hands lingering on her waist as she walked. "Go, get fresh," he said, his voice low and gentle.
Swara smiled, feeling a little shy but also grateful for Sanskar's thoughtful gestures. She slipped into the bathroom, the door closing softly behind her.
Swara brushed her teeth, the minty freshness invigorating her senses. After a refreshing bath, she wrapped herself in a plush towel and walked into the spacious walk-in closet. The soft glow of the LED lights illuminated the rows of elegant outfits, sparkling accessories, and stylish shoes.
As she scanned the closet, Swara's eyes landed on a beautiful red saree, its intricate embroidery and delicate patterns catching her attention. She smiled, remembering the special occasion she had planned to wear it for. Sanskar's voice interrupted her thoughts, "Jaan, what's taking you so long?"
Swara giggled to herself, imagining Sanskar's reaction. "Give me 10 minutes, honey," she called out, her voice playful and teasing.
Sanskar's ears turned a deep shade of red as he heard the endearment. No one had ever called him "honey" before, and he couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest. He cleared his throat, trying to sound nonchalant. "Take your time, jaan. I'll wait."
Swara's eyes sparkled as she picked out her outfit. She chose a sleek gray top that accentuated her curves, pairing it with a vibrant red patiala bottom that added a pop of color. To complete the look, she draped a stunning red shawl over her shoulders, the intricate embroidery catching the light..
Swara opted for a natural look, applying light makeup that enhanced her features without overpowering them. She added a subtle swipe of lipstick, defining her lips with a soft, rosy hue. A delicate line of eyeliner accentuated her eyes, making them sparkle like diamonds.
She left her luscious locks open, allowing them to cascade down her back like a rich, dark waterfall. The overall effect was stunning, showcasing Swara's effortless beauty and radiant charm.
As she dressed, Swara felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. She couldn't wait to see Sanskar's reaction to her outfit.
As the door creaked open, Sanskar's gaze lifted from his phone, where he had been engrossed in checking his emails. His eyes widened in astonishment, and he stood frozen, his jaw slack with admiration.
Swara's ethereal beauty had left him breathless. The way the soft light danced across her face, illuminating her delicate features, made her look like a most beautiful girl in world. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds, and her lips curved into a gentle smile, rendering Sanskar utterly speechless.
Swara's gaze met Sanskar's, and she felt her heart skip a beat. He looked absolutely dashing, exuding an aura of confidence and sophistication. His three-piece suit fit him impeccably, accentuating his broad shoulders and chiseled physique. The gleaming watch on his wrist and the subtle scent of his perfume only added to his allure.
For a moment, they just stood there, locked in a silent admiration of each other. The air was charged with tension, and Swara could feel her pulse racing with excitement.
Sanskar's eyes burned with desire as he walked towards Swara. His fingers grazed her cheek, sending shivers down her spine. He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a tender, yet passionate kiss.
Swara's senses were overwhelmed, and she felt herself getting lost in the moment. But then, Sanskar's eyes drifted to her outfit, and his gaze lingered on the gray top and red patiala bottom. A slow smile spread across his face, and he pulled back, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
"You look stunning, jaan," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "I'm not sure if I should take you out or keep you all to myself."
"Don't you dare Sanskar," she glared at him trying to hide her racing heartbeat caused due to proximity.
Sanskar's teasing grin faltered, replaced by a look of concern. "Hey, what's wrong, jaan?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.
Swara's eyes clouded, and she leaned against Sanskar's chest, seeking comfort. "I don't know... I had a weird dream," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "I saw someone hitting me when I was around 10 years old. But it's strange... nothing like that ever happened to me. So why did I have such a vivid dream? It felt so real"
Sanskar's arms wrapped around her, holding her close. "It's just a dream, jaan," he whispered reassuringly. "Maybe it's just your subconscious mind processing something. But I'm here for you, always. You're safe with me."
"I know" Sanskar's heart swelled with emotion as he held Swara close. Her trust in him was a precious gift, and he felt his chest tighten with the weight of responsibility. He wanted to protect her from all harm, to be her safe haven in every storm.
As he looked down at her, he saw the vulnerability in her eyes, the faint shadows of fear that lingered despite her brave words. Sanskar's jaw clenched in determination. He would do everything in his power to erase those shadows, to make her feel safe and loved.
"Shona, Sanskar come down. Breakfast is ready" both heard Sujatha's voice bringing bright smile on Swara's face.
Sujata Maheshwari beamed with pride as she laid out a sumptuous spread of Indian delicacies on the breakfast table. She had spent hours in the kitchen, lovingly preparing each dish from scratch, just the way her children loved them.
The aroma of steaming hot idlis, crispy dosas, and fluffy puris wafted through the air, making everyone's stomach growl with anticipation. Sujata had also made a variety of chutneys and sauces to accompany the breakfast dishes, each one carefully crafted to bring out the unique flavors of the meal.
As Swara and Sanskar walked into the dining room, their eyes widened in delight at the feast spread before them. "Wow MAA anything special today?" Swara asked while Sanskar pulled a chair for her to sit.
"Do I need any special occasion to treat my daughter?" Sujata filled her plate with Puris baji.
"Mmm smells so delicious" Laksh joined them taking his seat filling his plate with idli and chutney "yummy 😋"
Sujata smiled caressing his hair lovingly while servent served Sanskar his salad and bread toast.
Swara made faces "how can you eat it leaving these tasty dishes Sanku"
"Leave him, Shona, come here today, and I'll feed you with my own hands," Sujata cooed, her eyes shining with warmth as she beckoned Swara to sit beside her.
With tender hands, Sujata tore a piece of roti, dipped it in the savory baji, and fed it to Swara. Swara's eyes closed in rapture as she savored the delicious flavors, her face a picture of pure bliss.
Sanskar watched the heartwarming scene unfold before him, feeling a deep sense of contentment wash over him. The warmth and love that radiated from Sujata and Swara was palpable.
Just as Sanskar was basking in the warmth of the moment, his phone beeped, shattering the tranquility.
As he read the words, his eyes darkened, and his face twisted in a mixture of anger and frustration. His hand clenched into a fist, and he had to forcibly restrain himself from lashing out in fury. The message seemed to have ignited a fire within him, and he struggled to contain the flames.
"Mr Ravi has found dead in his house King"
