Monique lied in silence on her bed. Everything went so fast, and everything felt wrong. Bryanna had come home trying to explain everything in full detail what happened. Of course, she replied the way she would had if she wasn't there.

Bryanna explained that they reached a church, but Alex had already become a vampire before they reached the holy water. Alex had began to scream, and he ran away from everyone in sheer panic. Everyone turned to Dimitri for an answer, but he didn't say anything. He left.

By the time everyone was running to the church, April was taking Monique on her way home. They were silent. April had no words of comfort, and Monique had a friend with an undetermined, life changing event. It was a tragedy with no words of certainty.

Now, Bryanna and Monique were home, having to work night shift in less than twelve hours. She shifted again, restlessly. Everything felt so still like the alarm clock staring at Monique's face.

Monique woke up to her phone ringing. It was two P.M. She had to get up in thirty minutes, so it wouldn't hurt to answer. Sloppily, she grabbed her phone and answered. "Hello?"

"Sorry. Did I wake you," Dimitri asked.

Monique yawned as she gathered it was Dimitri. She sat up. "Yup. What's going on?"

"Sorry about that. Anyway, I thought I would fulfill my part of the deal."

Monique raised a brow. "What do you mean?"

"The cure."

Monique walked into the living room, spotting Bryanna in the kitchen. "Hey..."

"Hey..." Bryanna poured herself cereal.

Monique stared a the floor for a moment, trying to find a way to gather her words correctly. She couldn't find any real good way. "You have to kill the werewolf that turned you."

Bryanna turned to Monique. "What?"

"The cure... In order to cure yourself of being a werewolf, you have to kill the wolf who turned you."

Bryanna paused, trying to calm her thoughts. "Okay... How do I find the wolf who turned me? How am I supposed to kill them? How... How do I know who even turned me? They were in wolf form."

"I don't know," Monique said quietly. "That was all Dimitri said that I could comprehend. That's all he really said that made sense."

"What do you mean," Bryanna asked.

"It's a blur." Monique took a deep breath. "I have to get ready for work. Just think over it. This a life you'll be taking if you choose to kill them." She walked toward her room.

"Monique!"

Monique turned to Bryanna.

Bryanna hugged Monique. "Be safe." 

Monique smiled and hugged Bryanna back. "I promise."
