I gulped and stepped back.
"W-Why of course, J-Jasper."

I mentally facepalmed at how embarrassing I let myself act.
And my shrill voice only made it worse. I was unsure why, but I quickly looked away from her and felt my cheeks warming up.

I guess of stupidity.
Definitely no idea of how to feel here.

Jasper's chuckle boomed at my cowardly reaction, she then haulted her obnoxious laughter when she craned her neck to look behind me.
Her somewhat teasing mood was replaced with a hard-to-make-out expression as she hummed, her smirk dropping into a frown. I turned around to see Lapis, who was staring her down.

"You know," Jasper mused.
"Normally I'd brake your scrawny neck right here for trapping me inside our own fusion," she clenched her teeth when speaking the last few words, then she chuckled deepily.
"But a gem can forgive, right?"
Her voice was in a bizarrely honey-coated sort of tone, she was acting suspicious. Her sudden good mood had already surprised me but this, this towards Lapis-especially since she trapped her in their fusion- was the real puzzler.
It kind of scared me.

No need to worry, she's probably just saying that that way because we were given strict orders not to kill Lapis and she's just making up excuses, i think.
I can't really understand anything she does anymore...

My attention fixed back to Lapis, she was narrowing her eyes, they were full of questioning and bitter mistrust towards Jasper, making up the perfect death glare.
I looked back to Jasper who seemed to be...smiling at me?

She hardly ever smiles.
Except when she's in combat, but that smile is of pure wickedness and is meant to give the enemy intimation. Yet this smile was of mixed up kindness? And is probably meant to throw gems off balance.

Right?

Well I shouldn't think too much of it, because if those were her true intentions, I shouldn't let her succeed. I can't give her another victory to flustering me again.
Ugh, I really hate it when she always trys that.

My attention zoomed back in and I found myself staring.
Jasper now looked even more smug than before and I immediantly flung my head back around when I noticed myself. I cupped my mouth and cheeks with both hands, attempting to hide the annoying and unwanted blush that bloomed on my cheeks yet again.
I just wanted to scream as I ducked the rest of my face behind my hands.

She always makes me embarass myself!!

Grr. She's just soooo...Fustrating!!!!

"Peri just give it time and you will be mine." I glance in her direction with disbelief.

Did she really just say that to me?

I huff and start stomping ahead of them, further into the kindergarten since I at least know where I'm going more than out in the middle of nowhere - which was where i just happened to find them.
I grumbled to myself as I heard the distanced and muffled voices of Jasper and Lapis behind me.
"Just who does she think she is?"
I lowly growled.
" "Ohh, just give it time and you'll be mine". " i mocked Jasper in a high tone while moving my arms up to go along with my dialogue. Now seems like a good time to fume than others.
"Think she has me under her thumb, does she? Well not this gem. Not today."
I abruptly stopped my self-complaining when I heard Jasper's heavy footsteps catching up behind me. I growled in annoyance as she spoke obnoxiously.
"Peri! What's your plan? Is reinforcements coming?"

ARE reinforcements coming.

I mentally corrected her grammar, i cant stand it when she uses it improperly.
I check behind the two of us to see where lapis was. She was slowly trailing behind quite a long gap away from us.
Hm, Jasper must've intimidated her again.
I casually turned my head back around to look straight forward, not bothering to glance at Jasper, who was now getting closer next to me.
"I contacted them so they should be here soon. Then we can aprehend those Crystal Clods and Lapis. Once that's over with we can take them back to HomeWorld, and from there Yellow Diamond will decide their fate." I deadpan, thinking the planning over carefully in my head.
Hah, yeah. They're all going to probably die, that's the more logical wa-
My thoughts were interupted when Jasper suddenly swings an arm around my shoulders and nudges me closer.
I narrow my eyes as my cheeks,
Once again!
Heated up.
Argh! She's doing it again! She knows how I feel about my personal space!!
I grew uncomfortable as her hold on me stayed firm and she leaned close next to my face, i was still looking forward.
"So you've been up to a lot while I was trapped, huh?"
A deep, husky voice whispered close in my ear, practically breathing down my neck.
That one action immediantly sent chills up my spine, causeing my body to tense up and I shivered.
Oh no, how does she know I got a thing for that...?
"Y-Yes," i started off, turning to glare at her.
"And if you don't get your hands off me I'll be forced to take drastic measures." I stated confidently and sped up my pace, walking ahead of both of them.
I breathed a sigh of relief to finally be free from her.
Jasper is really starting to creep me out.
