Chapter 4 Orange

"How can you hate the Region that made you champion?" Black demanded angrily.

"How can I hate? Hate? Hate is a light word for the way I feel!" Winter's emerald eyes burned with rage, something everyone sensed easily.

"Winter, let it go! That was a year--"

"I know! It's been 492 days!" Winter screamed at Fall. "492 days since I've been forced to stop my travels!"

That made everyone curious.

"But she--"

"I've had enough!" Winter yelled furiously at the three Skarians. "If you're smart, you'll leave me alone right now."

"Winter! It's not your place to comment about that!" Acacia scolded.

"Not my place to comment? What in the Distortion World! I'm Champion and if I cannot make a comment about what happened then I'd gladly quit and hand the title onto Lu--"

"That is the only person you cannot hand it to!" Fall roared at her. "Have you any idea--"

"Do you know how the three of us suffered?" Winter screamed back. "You don't understand what you're talking about! So just drop the f*cking topic!"

"Drop it? That Umbreon attacked the opposing trainer on purpose mid battle!" Summer yelled. "Skaria knows all about it! She was at fault for not training that rabid Umbreon better!"

Everyone gasped at the news of a Pokemon purposely attacking a person.

"Umbreon was not rabid! You weren't there at the battle! You watched it on television! Even if you were in the Champion's arena at the time, they edited it out! You don't know what the hell happened!"

"Winter, you're blinded--"

"Leave me alone." Winter glared spitefully.

"Come back here!"

"I'll murder one of you!" Winter screamed back. Suddenly, Winter stopped everything she did, practically falling to the ground.

However, no one was able to reach her on time.

A brownish reddish figure darted out from the skies, barely catching Winter's injured form. The Garchomp sighed in relief, having caught Winter. With a single touch of Winter's skin, she knew what was wrong.

Garchomp growled in irritation, realising that she had long forgotten Ice Beam. So instead, she carefully set Winter on her back before trying to take off.

Yeah, trying.

Once the Dexholders realised that a strange Garchomp was about to take one of their own somewhere, they fought back.

"Golduck, use Hydro Pump!"

"Blasty, you too!"

"Explotaro, use Flamethrower!"

"Use Dragon Claw!"

Garchomp roared in rage, shielding Winter and leaving herself open for attack. All of her Pokeballs struggled and rattled except for Cygnus', all struggling to get out to help their trainer because almost all of them could help.

Hissing in pain, the Garchomp glared, using Dragon Breath in retaliation.

"What's going on here?" Officer Jenny demanded.

"That Garchomp is going to kidnap our Champion!" Fall shouted quickly, his auburn eyes flickering with anger.

"Grab the gun!"

~~~~~
Winter bit her lip as she sat up, wondering why it was so hot. She frowned, realising that she was wearing a hospital gown.
"You're awake!"
Winter glared at the intruders. "What happened?"
"You suddenly fell unconscious and a Garchomp tried to kidnap you! It was so scary and my hair was damaged!"
"You wear a wig dude."
"Garchomp?" Winter whispered in excitement. "Where is the Garchomp?"
"On the list of dangerous Pokemon and in Pokejail with Officer Jenny." Summer smiled. "It's okay now."
"What?" Winter instantly stood up, ripping the needles from her body roughly.
"Winter, what are you doing?"
"Look, I don't care about what you think of that Garchomp, but if you gave her time, I would be okay. You guys have no idea how my immune system works."
"That thing is dangerous! It began attacking out of nowhere!"
"I bet you never checked up on Garchomp. She's captured!" Winter yelled, trying to find her bag.
"That's even worse! People want you and your life Winter!"
"Haha, tell that to Freeze Moon." Winter laughed humourlessly. "I can't believe this.... I'll tell you who that Garchomp is to me, okay? That Garchomp is the older sister of my Garchomp and also belongs to my older sister, are you happy now?"
Everyone fell silent.
"If Garchomp wasn't able to help, she would've done one of two things. One, take me somewhere isolated - human wise and release one of my Pokemon so that they could help or two, she would've taken me to my sister." Winter listed. "Either way, she was going to leave with me."
Winter checked her wounds, cursing when she realised that she had almost no Pokemon on her. She couldn't use Cygnus, Phoenix was at home, Hunter was out of the question and Obsidian was just too big.
"Hunter! Teleport me away!" Winter shouted as Hurricane created a distraction. The Gallade sensed how dire the situation was and didn't bother to play around. He simply grabbed his trainer and teleported away.
Winter sighed in relief when she landed on the soft soil, sensing she was in a forest. Along the way, Hunter also teleported Winter's clothes, putting her back in her crop top and shorts.
"Hunter, go exchange Obsidian with his Pokeball to Onee-san. {Big sister.}" Winter commanded. "I want Garchomp's empty Pokeball."
Hunter teleported away without protest. Winter sighed before trekking through the forest alone. By the time she had made it to town, Hunter had returned with the empty Pokeball. She rummaged through her bag and took out a misty white vile.
"Ice Punch."
Hunter used Ice Punch on the vial before Winter drank out of it, allowing her wounds to meld together and heal themselves. After that, Winter returned Hunter, clipping both Pokeballs on her belt.
Walking toward the police station at the brisk pace, she worried over Garchomp's safety. Many rumours concerning the list of dangerous Pokemon filled her head, including the horrific ones about executions.
Winter took a deep breath before entering, looking at the policeman that sat at the desk. "Hello, I want to speak to Officer Jenny about an accident earlier today, this afternoon actually." Winter smiled politely.
"O-of course, Champion Winter!" The officer stuttered anxiously, fumbling with his equipment before sending a message. "Officer Jenny, Champion Winter is requesting to speak to you about the emergency in the afternoon, over."
"Rodger that, I'm coming, over."
In a few minutes, Officer Jenny stood in front of Winter with a kind smile on her face. "How can I help you?"
"I want my Garchomp back," Winter told the officer bluntly. "The so called dangerous Garchomp you sedated this afternoon. I know that it's late, so let's be quick about it."
"Sorry, but you have to understand that for your safety, we cannot let you get close to that Garchomp. After all, it tried to kidnap you!"
"That Garchomp is a caught Pokemon and her trainer is me." Winter did her best to hold back a glare.
"But--"
"Here's what was really happening." Winter took a deep breath, preparing to explain everything. "Garchomp is usually left to wander Skaria on her own when she wants to. Earlier just so happened to be one of those times. I suddenly fell unconscious after an argument with the other dexholders and Garchomp caught me using her speed. You know that Garchomps can fly at the speed of sound, so she managed to catch me. She thought that the Dexholders were dangerous and was trying to protect me and get me away from danger. The Dexholders attacked and Garchomp retaliated to protect me, get it?" Winter concluded.
"Even so..."
"Can I at least see her?" Winter pleaded.
"Alright, but we have a forcefield that prevents teleporting set around Garchomp." Officer Jenny warned. "You'll have to see Garchomp in a cage."
"I'll remove myself if it is dangerous, but I want to interact with Garchomp for a little while," Winter promised.
"It's dangerous!"
"She's my Pokemon! I'm the trainer, it's something I have to do!" Winter protested. "As her trainer, I need to interact with Garchomp and try to figure out why she did that and if there's a way to prevent it next time."
"Alright, but you'll be under strict supervision." Officer Jenny agreed reluctantly. "Please check the records of the Garchomp." She ordered another officer.
"Rodger!"
"Come with me, Miss Sorensen."
Winter followed through with all the twists and turns, careful to remember where she was and how to get there. Finally, Officer Jenny undid the final lock, where Winter gasped in horror.
"Garchomp!" Running up to the tiny cage for a Pokemon so large, Winter cursed. Garchomp laid unconscious in the cage, clearly hurt and damaged.
Winter threw her bag off of her shoulders and rummaged through it for any berries or even potions. "Garchomp, can you hear me?" Winter opened the cap to a Hyper Potion and began to spray Garchomp's body through the bars.
Winter knelt down, reaching through the bars to touch Garchomp's limp head. She bit her lip, realising that she had been shocked. Ignoring the shock, she reached in, feeling Garchomp's rough scales on her head.
"Winter! You'll get hurt!"
"I don't care! Plus, why put her in an electric cage when she's a ground type?" Winter retorted.
Garchomp slowly aroused from her sleep, growling a little. Sniffing the air, she caught Winter's scent, but she couldn't see well because they had attacked her eyes. Everything was blurry.
"Garchomp!" Winter cheered. "Take it easy there, big girl." She cooed softly, ignoring the shocks of pain that spread through her fingers.
Garchomp whimpered, seeing the injuries on Winter's arms. Winter looked at her arms and laughed lightheartedly. "Garchomp, it's fine. I'm sorry that you're here because you were worried about me."
Garchomp shook her head, raising a claw to try and reach Winter. "No, save your energy." Winter urged. She smiled forlornly, ignoring the pain as she pet Garchomp's head soothingly.
"No matter how the Pokemon behaves around you, we can't simply free it, you realise that correct?" Officer Jenny asked.
"If this is taken into legal matters, you know I can simply use my publicity to win?" Winter countered. "You might as well give her to me now because what you are doing or tried to do to my Garchomp is Pokemon cruelty."
"That Garchomp is dangerous!"
"This Garchomp was trying to do her best as my Pokemon! She was trying to defend me from incoming danger!" Winter huffed angrily.
"Show me, show me that she's not dangerous."
"We need to take this outside."
~~~~~

"Garchomp!" Winter cried out in distress when she saw the giant Pokemon's knees buckle. She ran toward Garchomp, cursing because Hurricane was gone.

"Hunter, I need your help!"

Hunter came out and immediately used Heal Pulse on Garchomp, helping her stand shakily. Hunter used it twice before backing off to give Winter and Garchomp space. The pink haired girl reached up to Garchomp as the Land Shark Pokemon reciprocated and lowered her head so Winter could hold her head gently.

"There, I'm safe, okay?" Winter promised.

Garchomp made a low growl in agreement, glad that Winter was safe. She could care less about her own suffering as long as the two sisters that raised her were safe.

"Oh my gosh! Winter! Get away from that monster!"

Garchomp stiffened, raising to her full height and growling at something behind Winter. "Shh, shh...." Winter cooed. "Garchomp, relax. I'm not going anywhere, okay?" Garchomp slumped her shoulders but refused to completely drop her guard.

"Winter! It's dangerous there!"

"Move so we can knock that thing out!"

"Garchomp, you trust me, right?" Winter murmured.

Garchomp nodded, eyeing her surroundings carefully.

"Clawympia! Use Close Combat!" Fall yelled.

"Wood, use Shadow Sneak!"

"Brightheart! Defend us!" Winter commanded, throwing her own starter out. Winter chose Brightheart on purpose because she grew up with the two other starters and she was the only female of the three. Maybe Brightheart was too dense to notice it, but Clawympia and Wood the Terracaw's crush on Winter's Iceshen did not get past the Champion.

Brightheart screeched, using Protect to defend her trainer and her friend. The graceful serpentine dragon remained calm, analysing everything as a threat.

"Bright, don't attack anyone, just defend, okay?" Winter cried. "I just need a little bit of time to calm Garchomp down, okay?"

Brightheart sang back melodically in agreement, silently pleading Winter to make sure everything was alright. Brightheart was always the motherly type, doing her very best to take care of everyone around her, especially the small and defenceless.

"Garchomp, everything will turn out okay, I can defend myself."

Brightheart glared at everyone, daring them to make a move.

"Clawympia, get to Winter and take her away from that Monster!"

Brightheart growled loudly at the sound of her friend being called a 「monster」.

"Wood, use Flamethrower on Brightheart!"

Brightheart glared, her long scaly body curling up aggressively as she spread her wings to make herself seem larger and more intimidating.

Seeing this Clawympia and Wood hesitated, not wanting to anger their childhood friend and current crush.

"Clawympia, don't you care about Winter's safety?"

"Snap out of it, Wood!"

"Water type starter, correct?" Platina asked for clarification.

"N--"

"Thunder!"

"Thunderbolt, Elec!"

"Garchomp, please don't move." Winter embraced the giant Pokemon's leg. "Brightheart can handle it, promise."

Brightheart used Ice Beam to create a barrier around herself. Hurricane roared at Winter, standing up.

"Hunter! Don't move!" Winter shouted.

Hunter stayed silent, reluctantly lowering his hands. His mind raced, watching silently as the barrier melted away. He knew that Winter didn't have much time to fix herself before she fell unconscious again.

"Garchomp...." Winter soothed.

Garchomp still couldn't fight her instincts and relax.

Winter took a deep breath and began singing.

"This is a song for the soldier, the fighters,"
"The young, the innocent and righteous."
"We've got little room to grow,"
"Better days are near,"
"Hope is so much stronger than fear."
"So if you jump kid don't be afraid to fall,"

Winter began giggling, bounding around her Pokemon as if she was dancing. Everyone watched in amazement as Garchomp and Brightheart calmed down. Hunter stayed still, but his eyes showed that he was concerned.

"We'll be kings and queens in this dream all for one, one for all,"
"You can light up the dark,"
"There's a fire in your heart,"
"Burning brighter than ever before!"

Winter's face softened, turning to Garchomp and reached a hand toward her.

"Keep marching on,"

"Garchomp, everything's going to be okay...." Winter promised, giggling when Garchomp nodded in agreement.

"Holy---" The blonde man cursed when he appeared. "Hurricane, Brightheart! Ice Beam, now!"

Winter didn't react when her Pokemon turned to her and attacked, putting a light layer of ice over her skin and hair. As soon as they were done, she ran up to the tall man, grinning in excitement. "Sol!"

"Winnie, that was so dangerous!" He fumed angrily. "I know that you care about that Garchomp, but your health should take priority! You know how frail you are against warm weather!"

"I know, but Pokemon has always taken priority in my life, I wasn't about to let anything happen to her, okay?" Winter shoved him lightly as a playful and friendly gesture.

"Right~ right~" He sang, rolling his eyes playfully.

"I want to battle you," Winter stated bluntly. "Just to see if you're still stronger than me."

They both sensed the glares being sent their way.

"Come on! I'm just a Gym Leader of the League you're champion in, Winnie!" He pouted. "If you're not stronger than me then I'd be disappointed in you as my student!"

"That training was torture Sollie!" Winter cried, shoving him playfully. "I'm not talking about the battles! It's the shoes that tortured us!"

"Honey, you needed to learn how to fix your clumsy self and become the graceful lady you now are!" Solar grinned. "You need it for --"

"That's where you stop!" Winter chuckled.

"Brightheart, Ice Beam!"

Winter did nothing to protest when she was yet again encased in a thin layer of ice. "Aahhh, that feels nice!" She murmured in delight.

"Winter, if you don't find your main legendary soon, this is slowly going to get worse, you know that right?" He whispered to her.

Winter nodded stiffly. "I'll die from overheating."

"Good." Solar smiled.

"Where's Lunar?" Winter asked. "And why are you back here?"

"We were worried because of the call just now. Lunar's back at her Gym, so we don't need to talk about it, but I just got the sudden urge that something near you was being destroyed." Solar muttered. "I just knew I had to come see you and it turns out that you're so stressed that you're overheating, not to mention the fact that it's summer right now."

"Has Adrian contacted you?" Winter asked, though she knew it was unlikely.

"Yeah, he's safe with Hisoka. Hisoka smuggled him out of the village and into a better hiding spot. He grabbed the rest of his team as well. Hisoka's going to stay with him until they're sure that his village is safe."

"How long was I out for?"

"It's the next day, Winter." Solar deadpanned. "Has no one told you that?"

Winter shook her head. "No wonder I was getting weird looks when I said earlier this afternoon earlier."

"WINTER!" Solar cried.

"Sorry, sorry." Winter joked. "Anyway, where's Hurricane?"

"Lunar insisted on taking Hurricane with her yesterday," Solar admitted. "I honestly don't know what happened from there, but it's Lunar, so you don't have to worry."

"Yeah, I'll ask her to send Hurricane back soon though. She probably wanted Hurricane to stay with her for the night for Hurricane's own safety."

"Winter, keep Hunter on you so I can get in contact with Gardevoir." He ordered. "I don't think I have to get back to the gym anytime soon, but I'm not exactly welcomed here...."

They had lowered their voices in order to keep their conversation as private as possible.

"I understand." Winter nodded, her peridot eyes glowing. "Take care, okay Sollie?" She smiled.

He chuckled at the stupid nickname and nodded in agreement. Just to anger everyone else a little bit more, he bent down to kiss Winter's forehead, making Winter giggle a little bit.

"I'll see you around, Winnie!"

"Good luck, Sun!" Winter laughed as Gardevoir teleported beside her trainer. Gardevoir waved briefly before disappearing with him.

Winter sighed in disappointment, deciding to ignore the rest of the Dexholders. "Brightheart, Hunter, Garchomp, return!" She commanded, watching as they all returned themselves.

"Garchomp is clear to go, right?" Winter asked Officer Jenny from afar.

"Alright...." She agreed reluctantly.

"That chick has a boyfriend, right?" Green asked deviously.

Meanwhile, Summer and Fall were glaring, fuming angrily. It was really Winter's change in attitude and the kiss that bothered them.

"Winter, I need Brightheart!" Professor Acacia called.

"You're not taking her!" Winter scoffed.

"Excuse me but you have your entire full team on you plus a few extras!" Acacia retorted. "Do I need to remind you that what you're doing is illegal?"

"Fine." Winter rolled her eyes. "Hunter, Garchomp, out!"

The Gallade and Garchomp duo appeared, the former looking ready to punch his trainer and the latter looking a little lost.

"Garchomp?" Winter whispered, noticing the change. "Did you forget something?"

Garchomp looked down, shuffling in embarrassment.

"Hunter, check her memories," Winter ordered.

Hunter made a big deal of it, sulking and casting random Thunderbolts everywhere as he marched over to Garchomp. With a loud and irritated sigh, he searched Garchomp's recent memories before pointing a hand over to Winter's belt and taking a Pokeball off. Hunter shot another Thunderbolt as the Pokeball opened to let out a Glaceon that was instantly struck by Thunderbolt.

Glaceon yowled in fury, her tail flicking maliciously and her eyes glaring.

"Hunter, quit being such an ass!" Winter yelled. "Glaceon, it's not a battle."

Glaceon's fur instantly smoothed as she began fixing her appearance in a hurry. Glaceon smiled, bounding up to Garchomp in a fond greeting.

"Alright, I'm assuming that Nee-chan wants both of you back!" Winter smiled. "Hunter, go with them so I can get Obsidian back."

Hunter glared and began sprinting at Winter his blades extended with a dark purple glow.

"Winter! Watch out!"

Several screams of terror joined orders for Winter to run.

Winter was simply thankful that Officer Jenny and her officers had left.

Winter casually dodged Hunter's attack, knowing that the Gallade wasn't trying. Hunter was simply bored and annoyed.

"Hunter, please stop. I already had to deal with the-" Winter ducked before stepping to the left. "Incident with Garchomp this morning." She finished her sentence casually.

Winter finally had enough after a few minutes and found the perfect time to jump out of Hunter's grasp, leaving them at a standstill. Glaceon and Garchomp seemed to be chatting idly through it all.

"Hunter, you can either teleport or fly on Garchomp's back, take your--" Winter sighed, taking small steps to dodge Hunter's barrage of attacks. "Pick. Either way, I need to head back to Victory Road, so if you'd so--" dodged. "Kindly please stop, I'm almost certain that I've missed more than five battles."

Hunter stopped suddenly, leaving the trainer and Pokemon panting. Hunter huffed and disappeared with a dull flash. Winter rolled her eyes and made her way to Glaceon and Garchomp, who looked her up and down for a second before going back to talking.

"You guys are free to head back to Sinnoh whenever," Winter promised. "Take your time, I doubt there's any rush besides Hunter's fury."

Glaceon and Garchomp both chuckled, knowing how temperamental Hunter has been since he evolved from a grumpy Kirlia. As a Ralts, he was the perfect Pokemon, sweet, strong, obedient and hard working. That all went out the window when he became a Kirlia, a very girly Pokemon. That was the start of his rebel stage because he hated the fact that Winter let him turn into a girl. That temper didn't change for the better when he evolved into a Gallade, in fact, Winter was almost certain that it got worse, but it did fix their broken relationship into a very questionable relationship.

"Hunter took both of your Pokeballs," Winter told them.

Glaceon nodded, jumping onto Garchomp's back and hanging off of her shoulder. Garchomp stretched her wings out and bent her knees, preparing to take off.

"Bye bye you two! Have a safe trip!" Winter shouted just before Garchomp took off and disappeared with Glaceon.

"It's so strange how she can be so sweet to her Pokemon and be an absolute--"

"It may not look like it, but Winter cares for us more than she shows." Professor Acacia smirked.

Winter scoffed at the sound of that. She became a dexholder for her own interests and benefits. Even after everything she went through with Team Freeze Moon, she kept fighting for her own interest. Winter knew that due to their differing opinions on what happened that day, 492 days ago, she would dump them with no regrets.

Most people had a one sided relationship with Winter.

Winter wouldn't hesitate to use people and Pokemon's feelings to her advantage when she needed to, but she would only do that to people she never cared for.

Scanning the Dexholders, only three stood out to Winter, making her smirk. She was really looking forward to meeting them.

Winter rolled her eyes when someone called her name. "Yes?" She answered irritably.

"We're going to eat at Larenda Town." Fall smiled, testing his luck out by slinging an arm around her shoulders. "Professor already relieved you of any Champion duties for a while, not sure how or why, but you're free!"

Winter swiped her foot under Fall's, tripping him. She quickly made her way out so that Fall wouldn't land on her. "Not hungry."

"Owww!!"

"Winter, we're going!"

"So?" Winter scoffed.

"Aren't you coming to eat?" Yellow asked gently.

"I don't want to. Is there an issue?" Winter glared.

"Winter, just stop being so rude for once in your sorry life and just go with us!" Professor Acacia shouted. "You're the type of person who makes fun of people to feel better about themselves!"

"I know that Skaria is fairly unknown, but despite that, I have fame, power, riches, talent, beauty and I have been chosen to be a Guardian." Winter smirked arrogantly. Can't exactly quote any of them, but they'll probably believe me as long as I keep up the arrogance. Winter laughed coolly. "I think that's pretty much everything anyone would want, don't you think?"

No one could respond to that, all admitting that it was pretty much true.

"What the freak did Arceus recognise in her that he didn't recognise in me?"

"Whatever it was, it clearly contributes to Winter being such a rude person."

Winter chuckled, hearing that. "I forgot that Skaria's the only region who cared about the constellations...." She muttered to herself.

Winter felt slightly light headed as she reached down to her belt to take Brightheart out. She had suddenly remembered that no one was 'home' to defend the place, especially take care of and defend the little Pokemon.

"Brightheart!" She called sending the dragon type out. Winter held her head as if she was annoyed. "I forgot, Onee-chan has everyone with her and she's going to be out for the next week, working and no one's at home defending the little ones. I need you to fly home and make sure everything's okay." She mumbled.

Brightheart's concerned reply in the form of a song caught everyone's attention.

"I'll be fine, it'll pass," Winter muttered. "I really need you at home to protect the nest."

Brightheart was reluctant, protesting in vain. Her poor coos displayed the pain she wore on her sleeve.

Winter blinked sleepily, trying to stay awake. "Bright, please go."

Brightheart's motherly nature made her adamant on making sure that Winter was perfectly fine. She slithered closer to Winter, trying to check her temperature.

"Brightheart! That's enough!" Winter shouted, having lost her patience.

Brightheart recoiled instantly, whimpering. She knew to not hold it against Winter because Winter would never shout at her Pokemon and showed years of patience toward them when she wasn't sick. Brightheart knew it was stress and sickness building up on her.

"Go home and protect the nest Brightheart." Winter glared at her Skarian starter who was not her first Pokemon.

"You should never speak that way to your Pokemon!"

Winter was feeling too strange to honestly begin to care. "Hmph!"

"That's a beautiful water type...."

"Water?" Summer echoed in confusion before laughing with Fall and Acacia.

"Skaria isn't exactly traditional per say." Fall chuckled. "The types you choose from here are Poison, Ground and Ice."

"Wh-what?"

Winter sighed, digging through her bag for some medication. Finding the bottle of pills, she took a few out and swallowed them straight. She reached back into her bag for another packet of white pills and swallowed two of them.

Winter knew she had a lot of health problems, but it was dangerous to treat most as if she was a normal human. She was partially Pokemon due to her legendary genes she received from bonding with her Legendary Pokemon and thus incorrect treatment was the easiest way to kill her.

Attacks like Wish, Remedy's Wish, Moonlight and other healing attacks worked on her because of her Pokemon genes and humans were immune to it, which was why it worked adequately. Winter had spent a long time with her sister trying to see what worked and what didn't.

There was one special potion that did the best job Winter could find and she would constantly consume it when she was younger, but she stopped, realising that the more she used it, the less effective it would end up being. It didn't really matter anymore because it was too late.

Some dexholders were concerned, seeing Winter swallow so many pills in a rush. Someone as young as her should have been perfectly healthy, so their minds began to wander into more dangerous territory.

"Acacia, I need to go and check on something. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon." Winter called.

"Winter, wai--"

Winter already began walking, plugging her ears with headphones to drown out the entire cruel world around her. Before their very own eyes, Winter wavered as if she was a hologram before disappearing completely.

* * * * *

Ahahaha! I may or may not have forgotten to post this.... Okay, you can kill me!

For all of my old readers, yes, I strayed from the original quite a bit. (Shh, it was by accident!) I added a lot more subtle and not so subtle hints about the future plot XD I'm pretty sure most of you will see these changes!

I am working on several other books along side this, but they may not be posted on Wattpad once I've finished. Those books are actually getting the most of my attention, but to me, writing is no longer my first (leisure) priority.

To my friends, I'm sorry if I've been slightly inactive! >.< I'll try my very best to get back to all of your messages, but please forgive me >~<
