Blind - unable to see, lacking the sence of sight

I heaved open my eyes only to see that I was in a room with a strange lady I'd never seen before

Why am I here

More questions I needed to be answered but I only could with time. I felt something cold press against my forehead which made me jump back I looked at the lady who was well-dressed, green eyes, slim fit, beautiful hair, looks like she could possibly be in her thirties. “Hey everything is ok, easy does it” she speaks to me in a soft voice while placing one arm on my shoulder to push me back on to the bed and the other arm still holding the source of coldness to my head.

My breathing started to become incoherent with the thoughts of the children, where are they... Are they alright.

“Excuse me Miss, where am I and where are the children. Are they alright?”

“I'm sorry” she spoke with a slight hint of sadness in her voice... “There all gone, it was a miracle that you even survived"

Wait what. That can't be true this must be a dream, she must be lying, voices went through my head like they were ocean waves.

“What about Mrs Graves”

“I'm sorry she's gone to” the lady spoke with tears coming down her already stained cheeks. I took a deep breath, layed back down and started thinking
