HIM: Wooohoooooo!
HER: That's great. I love it.
HIM: You're doing great. Are you sure you've never done this before?
HER: It's not complicated, actually. There are no gears, you just handle the acceleration with the lever on the handlebars. However, you have to be careful with the waves, and slow down well to pass the eddies of the other boats.
HIM: We're going straight 35 miles an hour!
HER: This is classy. We should have tried earlier.
HIM: Yeah, at the price we pay, we can't afford that every day either, but I feel like we're going to have a crazy day.
SHE: I hope so. Do you remember where she said we had to go to get to the next lake?
HIM: The agency chick? She told us so many things, I forgot all of it.
HER: Wait, I'll take the map out.
HIM: Wasn't there a name like Castle Rock ? We have to find a rock that looks like a castle.
SHE: Are you serious? All rocks look like castles.
HIM: No, but a rock with like crenellations. Do you see where we are?
HER: Normally, we're not far from the channel.
HIM: I can't see anything. I don't think we're in the right place.
SHE: Well, don't you want to stop filming?

HIM: There you go, Navajo Canyon!
Panoramic movement from left to right. The submerged canyon is quite wide, framed by steep cliffs.
HIM: Normally, we should spend the day there. It goes inland for over 20 kilometers.
HER: We've already wasted a lot of time coming here. If only you hadn't made us take the wrong path.
HIM: Sorry, it's not my fault they can't have a single buoy system. I know we're straddling two states, but they might think of the little tourists who don't know anything about sailing. I'm not Captain Ahab.
SHE: Yeah, anyway. We'll move a little further and find a quiet beach to have picnic.
HIM: There are not many people, for tranquility it should be fine. But for the beaches, we will have to move on, because for the moment I don't see where we can stop.
HER: We're in no hurry anyway.
HIM: Uh, what's that fork ahead?

HIM: Aw, that's what I call amazing.
Overview of the canyon, a boat passes to the left, pulling a water ski. He turns the camera to his left. The jetski is stranded on a beach.
HIM: There you go, a little break on Lake Powell. Great luxury, and at the same time simplicity. What more could we ask for? Huh, what's that?
Tilt towards his feet. He has water up to his ankles. A black object protrudes from the sand. He picks it up.
HIM: No kidding, it's an iPhone. These Americans throw their shit anywhere. Wait, it works.
The display lights up. The display jumps and the colors change to green and purple. The message "Enter PIN" can be read.
HIM: It looks like someone wanted to check the rumor on the internet that the 7S is waterproof. It didn't do it much good.
He straightens up and turns to the beach. SHE lies on a towel on a rock, tanning in a bathing suit.
HIM: Hey, look what I found.
SHE: What is it?
HIM: An iPhone. It's still working, but it's taken a hit.
SHE: What are you going to do with it? Why don't you just leave it?
HIM: Hell no. I don't want to pollute three-quarters of the lake water. And besides, maybe it belongs to someone. I'm going to ask.
SHE: Are you serious?
He turns to the end of the beach. A large flat-bottomed barge is moored. As he approaches, the name becomes readable. PARADISE FOUND. A person is lying in a hammock on the upper deck. Four teenagers play in the water not far from the shore. A boy and three girls.
HIM: Hey guys, how ya doin.
ADO1 : Hi, how are you?
HIM: Anybody lost an Iphone?
Teenagers come out of the water and meet her.
ADO2: Hey, what's your name?
HIM: I'm Fabien.
ADO2: Nice to meet you. I'm Michelle. (She shakes his hand)
ADO1: I'm Trevor. (They shake hands) This is Janice, and this is Patricia.
HIM: Nice to meet you all.
MICHELLE: Where are you from?
HIM: France.
JANICE: This is so cool. Je m'appelle Janice.
HIM: Very good. But you won't get too far if that's the extent of your French.
MICHELLE: Oh, and Pute mère.
HIM: You mean Putain de sa mère.
MICHELLE: That's right.
HIM: You know, Putain is the most useful word in French. It can translate all kinds of emotions. Like, when you're angry you say Putain, and when you're scared you say Putain, and when you're surprised you say Putain.
TREVOR: Love that. Putain. (They bump fists)
JANICE: Hey, are you filming?
HIM: Yeah. For my holiday album.
JANICE: How do you say "Sent"?
HIM: You mean, as in "message sent"? Envoyé.
ADOS: Envoyé! (They pose with a grin)
HIM: So is this yours?
TREVOR: Sorry, no.
MICHELLE: Where did you find it?
HIM: Just down there in the water.
MICHELLE: It's not ours, anyway.
HIM: Okay. Thanks, guys. You have a good one.
MICHELLE: You too. Bye.
He's going back to HER.
HER: So?
HIM: It's not theirs. I'll put it in the jet ski trunk. We'll throw it away at the marina.
HER: What did they tell you?
HIM: Nothing special.
SHE: You've been teaching again.
HIM: I don't know what you're talking about.

HER: The canyon is starting to narrow. We're gonna have to turn around.
HIM: Wait, I'm sure we'll find a beach a little further away. There's no one left, it'll just be the two of us.
HER: Alright, but if you see too much debris in the water, you don't take the risk. I don't want to ruin the engine.
HIM: Is it me, or is the sky getting cloudy?
HER: Good, I'm starting to burn.
HIM: What about the fuel gauge?
SHE: A little more than half.
HIM; Yeah, fuel's starting to get a little short.
HER: Here, look.
HIM: A beach! And there's no one in sight. Perfect.
Video file #5 (VID_20180808041513), duration 2'14, 204MB
HER: Are you coming in the water?
HIM: I'm coming.
He's holding the camera in his hand. The beach is littered with branches and seaweed. He walks slowly towards the water.
HER: Come on, even I didn't take long to get into the water.
HIM: I think it's a little fresh.
He walks faster, splashing.
HIM: Ouch! Damn, it's not just sand.
SHE: Yes, we wouldn't have gone any further no matter what. There's a lot of wood in the water.
HIM: I'm coming. Now, finally alone.
SHE: Finally.
SHE puts her arms around his neck. They kiss.
HIM: I'm fucking dreaming.
SHE: What?
HIM: There.
A motorboat is in the middle of the canyon, about 100 meters away. The driver is not visible.
HER (laughing): We're so unlucky.
HIM: We just have to wait, it'll be fine. Hey, get out of here! We want to be by ourselves.
SHE: Or else we can pretend we're not doing anything.
HIM: Oh yes, why not.
SHE: But you're not going to film that.
Video file #6 (VID_20180808041548), duration 20'47, 2187MB
HIM: Is it me, or is he following us? Isn't that the same as before?
A motorboat is far in the wake of the jetski.
HER: Stop with that camera. We have other problems. I don't know if we'll have enough to get back to the marina.
HIM: Are you kidding me?
SHE: No. And then I'm sick of it.
HIM: Do you want me to take the wheel?
SHE: No, I want to go home.
HIM: Okay, no problem.
HER: But I'm afraid.
HIM: What are you afraid of?
HER: There are waves, it pitches too much.
HIM: But you've been doing great so far.
SHE: Yes, but now I'm afraid.
HIM: Well, let me take your place, I'll drive.
SHE: No, we're going to capsize.
HIM: Stop, it's okay.
SHE: But we're going to sink!
HIM: Don't bullshit, it floats. Come on, that's good. Let me through, please.
The jetski pitches, the image moves a lot.
HIM: Well, give me two seconds to set the camera.
SHE: But who cares about the camera, can't you just go? Let's go. I'm afraid. (sobbing)
HIM: It's okay, look, it's okay. See, we're going to go back. Hey, what the hell is he doing? Hey, you watch o...
A loud engine noise. The image turns around and the camera is in the water, with the surface towards the bottom of the screen. Air bubbles escape. The water turns red. After 35 seconds, the front trunk opens. A grey and blue backpack floats in front of the lens, as well as empty sandwich wrappers and soda bottles. Nothing significant happens until the end of the file.
CONCLUSION :
Both bodies were found with lacerations likely caused by a boat propeller, according to the coroner's report. The victims' wallets and mobile phones were found by divers on the bottom of the water. No other phones were found. The owner of the Paradise Found, Simon Hedgeworth, confirmed the facts established by the video. He says he took his two daughters Janice and Patricia, as well as their cousins Trevor and Michelle on a day cruise in Navajo Canyon. The latter confirmed that they had spoken to one of the victims. They also confirm that the individual was in possession of a damaged telephone recovered shortly before, whose owner he was looking for. They did not notice any suspicious activity or boats following the victims. Due to the location of the death scene, the local police declare themselves out of their jurisdiction, so the investigation is the responsibility of the FBI. However, Agent Bryson in charge of the case stated his intention to conclude that it was an accident. The conclusions of this report contradict those of Agent Bryson. I recommend that a request for an official investigation be made in order to send French police officers to the site. We believe it is essential to make the link with any other criminal cases that have occurred in the area at an early date. In any event, we believe it would be a serious mistake to close the file.
