In a house where a teenager named Mike age 16 is texting his friend, Jane age 14, and his girlfriend, Tania age 14. They've been friends ever since they met up on Thattpad (see what I did there?) On a book where they met each other's profiles and got along pretty well up to the point they started communicating digitally. It's been a while and at the time they've been sending memes to each other.

Mike was sending another meme before he talked about his idea

Tania: haha! XD

Jane: probably do the same XD

Mike was having a good time with them then suggested something.

Mike: have you guys heard about the new mall opening soon?

Tania: oh yeah!

Jane: looks interesting... I hope I go!

Tania: me too!

Mike: same here! I actually can! I got a new job that can get me there easily!

Tania: what is it?

Mike: I'm a photojournalist!

Jane: ?

Tania: wait what?

Mike: its because it's by one of the most famous people, Frank west! Zombie killer! Plus it was the easiest job I could find :P

Tania: oh... -3-

Jane: oh cool. Hope I get to be there!

Tania: me too!

Mike: hope to see you soon!

Mike then gets a call from is boss and answers it. He's been informed that the new mall will open in 2 days. He got up in excitement. Yes sir I'll be there! He hangs up and gets ready for what will soon be a good day.

2 days later....

The day was finally here. Mike was taking pictures and was in front of the line because of his pass. He even got to take pictures inside the mall. It was huge so he had to get there about 2 hours before it had a chance to open. After his final picture shot he got to the ribbon cutting.

Can't believe they still do this. He thought. Then came the mayor who was going to cut the ribbon, but before he did another 3 people showed up. The crowed went crazy as the zombie killers themselves, Frank West, Chuck Greene, and Nick Ramos came out and waved at the crowd.

I can't believe it! It's them! The famous zombie killers and savior's of outbreaks! Mike mind raced as he met his favorite celebrities. I'm a huge fan!! He shouted along with other people.

They waved, smiling then Frank grabbed the mic to have a speech about having a safe and time in the mall. ...And if there ever is a zombie outbreak! He speeches. Make sure to use just about anything that's lethal to protect yourself while looking good while doing it! The crowd just went crazy while Chuck was just sharing his head a little and Nick rolling his eyes, smiling.

Frank turns back at them. What? Don't pretend you guys don't do it. Chuck just chuckled while Nick just shrugged. Just like that, they cut the ribbon and everyone went inside.

The mall was huge as told before. There was a movie plaza, food court, gaming areas(sports and video games), weapon ranges, casinos, vehicles, a safe house, 3 floors, just about anything you need and want.

Mike was taking pictures of people having fun and enjoying themselves. He felt a tap on his shoulder then turned at the opposite side to find Tania ready to pounce him.

Aw man... Ya got me hehe! She laughed. Mike smiled and hugged her. We finally meet Mikey!

Mike laughs. Yeah but don't call me that.

Am I interrupting something? Said a voice. They turned around to see Jane walking in. Hope you both know you're in public.

They laughed. Don't think that way. Mike said. They hanged out, getting food, desserts, play games, and catch up on each other's lives.

So you got a job as a mechanic? Asked Jane eating her popcorn.

Yep. Tania answers. Thought I'd get a job too and find one I thought I'd like.

Mike finishes his bag of chips. Must be tough. Then a loud sound of people arguing came from the front, having full protests.

What's all that about? Asks Jane.

Mike uses his camera to zoom in on the protesters. Something about "be warned" oh wait. Cops are coming to stop them.

Tania sighs. Are they still paranoid?

Possibly.

Just before they headed towards the gaming area they heard a blood shrieking scream. Help!!!

The three turned around to see a group of people falling to the ground, coughing up blood. Is there a doctor?! Someone shouted.

Security and cops come in to see what's the problem. Mike went up to take pictures.

Stay back! Said the cop. Mike groans and goes back.

Tania looks at him weirdly. Why do you want pictures of that?

Mike looks through his gallery. It's my job to do this.

Jane crept up behind an officer to see a person losing breath. We need medic here! Said a security guard. Just then the person lunged up and bit him. Jane jumped back in shock. Later more people jumped up and began eating the cops. People began screaming and running out of the mall, but something or someone has locked them in, adding a reinforced fence around the mall.

Mike and Tania started running then find Jane. Where were you?! You scared us half to death! Said Tania.

Sorry! I panicked! Jane said. I was close to the first attack!

Just then a security guard started announcing on the speakers. Everybody! Remain calm and head to the safe room!

Everyone started running towards the place as cops did their best to hold back the zombies. A guy was later bit and his friend got to him. Don't worry man! I got zombrex! The friend reaches for the vaccine and gave him the shot but the guy turned and ate him.

Mike looked in horror then took a quick picture before Tania grabbed him. Come on! Let's go! Mike ran with his friends to the safe house just before the zombies could reach them.

People were crying, panting, mourning,  and scared to death of what just happened. A guy went up to the mayor and punches him. You said this place was safe! We're not your guinea pigs you could use for zombie testing!

The mayor got up and punched back. I didn't want this! I just wanted a good and fun time for everyone! I just made this for my wife! Wait! Where is she?!

Everyone looked around to see that she's not there. The mayor started panicking. I need to go out there!

You can't! Said an officer. Sorry mayor, but we can't risk anyone's lives. Not even after many we've lost.

The mayor clenched his fists then went to a room to calm down.

Mike was worried. His service as been cut off and wifi was been turned off. He could tell his families and friends are going to be worried.

Guys... Said Jane. Are we going to die?

Tania looked at her, trying to stay confident. No. We're not.

Mike took time to think then remembered he took a mysterious picture what might be useful. He went up to the remaining line of defense, cops and security, to give them information. Sorry if I'm interrupting something but... Mind if I help? He asks, holding up a picture that made their eyes wide open. The picture was a zombie with zombrex on it's arm, having no effect on it.
