Yamaguchi had always noticed, every single time he would see tsukishima emotions. He always notice the hidden smile tsukishima would have read he read a certain person text or that person would call him. Even when he acts cold and annoyed around the person he knows he truly feeling happy and joyful. He can always see the love in tsukishima eyes when he with the person or just thinking about them and yet that person wasn't him.

The person who had tsukishima be a love sick puppy was never him, it was always the horrible bed hair cat kuroo. 

Tsukishima was always good at hiding how he really felt but yamaguchi saw it all. How Tsukishima voice would seem kinder and gentle when he talks to kuroo. The way tsukishima acts more caring around kuroo while acting salty to hide it. Tsukishima was good at hiding his true feelings about kuroo just like how good yamaguchi was hiding all his pain and sadness over watching his crush love another. 

Yamaguchi always loved his tsukki but he knew tsukishima would never feel the same so he just stayed being a good friend without saying a word. Yamaguchi was doing so fine at acting around tsukishima and being a good friend well he was until he saw the loving look in tsukishima eyes. It was during camp, at first yamaguchi just thought he was tired and seeing things that night but in the morning it was so clear. Tsukishima really did love kuroo and so yamaguchi kept quite until tsukishima was ready to talk about it. Yamaguchi even stayed away when kuroo head over to them or he notice the two alone. The only problem was why yamaguchi was smiling and laughing like normal he was breaking and dying inside. Each day that past with him faking smiling his heart would shatter more. 

It was clear yamaguchi couldn't be by tsukishima side after the two started to date or even if they stay together after high school. He wanted to stay by tsukishima side but he wont be able to smile or fake smile everyday like he had been doing, so yamaguchi was just going to hold out until the end of high school then go to a far away collage without telling anyone and start a new life. It was the only way he knew he would be able to smile by tsukishima side and not break, yes his plan made him seem weak but he was going to last three years of this. Was it really bad if he left after high school after all most friends leave each other or break apart after high school, so he just be doing it first. 

Since the first training camp tsukishima just fell more in love with kuroo and they would text or call everyday non stop. They would meet up often on the weekends and even some holidays. Yamaguchi was happy to see tsukishima love and care for someone so much but it also hurt to see all that love aim at another. Yamaguchi didnt mind kuroo he was a good guy and a great captain but he couldn't help but feel jealous. 

After a couple of them meeting up with kuroo on weekends yamaguchi stopped joining them, he felt like a third wheel even when kenma came along with them. He just didnt feel he belong or he energy would be empty by the time they got home from all the fake laughs and smiles. Kenma was nice to hang with while kuroo and tsukishima acted in there own world. But even kenma couldn't save yamaguchi from the jealousy or pain from watching his friend fall more in love with another. If yamaguchi remember right kenma was the first to stop coming and joining on the meet ups and after a couple more meets up yamaguchi stopped.

The next three years was going to be hell for yamaguchi and he knew it.

WITH EVERYONE DURING A SMALLER TRAINING CAMP.

"food ready" akashi yelled as he walked down the halls and past the classrooms where everyone was sleeping to warn them all food done. 

"wanna train after breakfast" nishinoya said with a smile as he walked with yuka. "sure, I dont get to train with other libero's so lets work hard" yuka smiled and yachi joined the two boys into heading over to the dinner hall. "I think akashi might help you boys train but hitting some balls at you" yachi said with a smile and the two libero's smirked a little. 

"stop stripping and eat" kiyoko yelled at tanaka who was shirtless and staring at her. "yes my goddess" tanaka grinned and started eating. "wow sempies can eat so fast" hinata said with a grin and shining eyes. "anyone can eat faster then you" kageyma said with a smirk and the two started fighting. 

"I cant upload any pics all week, what if my beauty fades away" oikawa wines like a kid at another table. "if only the gods loves me so" iwaizumi said as he started eating with a pouting oikawa next to him. "stop trying to see if you can fit all of it in your mouth, others are trying to eat" akaashi said annoyed since Bakugo tried to fit all his food in him mouth and it was gross for the rest. "your no fun" Bakugo pouted and started eating like normal. 

"yamaguchi, where tsukishima" daichi asked as yamaguchi walked in alone. "oh he should be heading over soon, I went ahead since I was hungry" yamaguchi said with a sweet smile. "are you feeling any better, you went to bed without eating last night" suga said with worry. "I'm feeling much better, I think the heat just got to me a little" yamaguchi smiled and headed over to the food. He couldn't really say he went to bed early because his crush was watching his crush train with his childhood friend till late and was hoping to give them water to gain there heart strings.  

 "I need food" kuroo yelled as he walked in and filled his pale while yamaguchi joined suga and daichi three seat table to eat. "why is yamaguchi sitting away from tsukishima, is he still not feeling well" kenma said a little worried as he notice yamaguchi wasn't as close to tsukishima then he use to be and he also notice tsukishima not notice yamaguchi disappearing more.

"yamaguchi not a kid, he doesn't need to be looked after" tsukishima said grabbing a plate and joining a bigger table with the two.

Yamaguchi heard that loud and clear as he ate with him sempies. He didnt look up but he knew suga and daichi had a kind but worried smile on there faces. He knew suga and daichi wasn't stupid unlike the rest of the team, so he knew they notice the distance between and tsukishima at some point but he wasn't ready to talk yet and he knew they knew that.

Soon screams was heard from inside of the gym and outside, everyone was on break and some stayed in the cool gym why others went outside for the sun and winds. But no one would expect to find other people eating your team mates or friends right in front of you. Some was clever to run and hide while other froze and watched before getting eaten.

Yamaguchi ran but not for his life, he need to know tsukki was safe. He ran to the back of the gym where he knew most of his team, a couple others and tsukki was. He ran and smiled when he saw his tall friend alive and not harmed. But his smile was soon faded when he notice tanaka getting bite while protecting kiyoko from a zombie, everyone scream or cried at he got attack.

Yamaguchi mind was clear and he knew what he had to do while everyone was scared and socked by what they were watching. Yamaguchi ran towards tanaka who was being attack, picking up a metal pole from the old rubbish pit and swin at the zombie who he thinks was from oikawa team but when they mission half a face and the uniform covered in blood its hard to tell. 

"are you ok" yamaguchi asked after hitting the zombie once more in the head crushing the brain. "thanks yama fuck" tanaka started to say with a smile but yelled and yamaguchi turned to see tanaka arm fully bitten. "no, I'm so sorry" kiyoko cried and hugged tanaka tight. 

"what the hell is happening" kageyma yelled puzzled. "what the hell are you people doing here, the zombies are nearly finished with the gym" yuka yelled as he ran out the fire exit from the gym back room. "we need to get the fuck out of here now" Bakugo yelled with akaashi close behind him and yachi next to yuka. 

"they right, everyone head towards the bus" daichi said as he picked up a plank of wood from the rubbish pit to use. "but non of us can drive" hinata said worried they just be trapped. "I can but we need to move, the ones they ate or bite are starting to turn, we already out numbered" akaashi said with fear and the others nodded. "lets go, kenma stay close to me" kuroo said grabbing kenma hand tight and everyone started running towards the bus. "what about him" kenma said with worry and kiyoko just smiled at them all saying she stay with him till the end. 

"no kiyoko come with us" yachi said with tears but yuka carried her. "come on, she picked her path lets leave them with respect" yuka said holding back his tears. "no we cant just leave him" nishinoya cried as akashi carried him. "I be fine dont worry about me and go" tanaka smiled. "I'm sorry" akashi said as he ran with nishinoya in his arms. "tsukishima we need to go or we going to die" yamaguchi yelled at his tall friend who was standing frozen looking at the dead zombie. "shit" tsukishima hissed and started running. "we gonna be ok dont worry" suga said with a small smile hoping to calm everyone down as they waited on the bus for anyone else. 

"thanks for helping me yamaguchi, I'm sorry you got your hands dirty" tanaka said with a grin. "its nothing, I'm sorry I couldn't save you in time" yamaguchi said with tears forming. "I'm going to stay with him, even if I get bit or eaten but you should go yamaguchi" kiyoko said with a kind smile. "are you sure" yamaguchi asked with worry since she could probably survive. "I was an idiot for not saying what I wanted and I'm going to die with the one I love or even turn with him" kiyoko smiled and lifted her trousers leg to show a bite mark. "I'm sorry, you both were great and kind people, I wont forget about you" Yamaguchi bowed and started to run turning to see kiyoko kiss tanaka. 

"yamaguchi" oikawa yelled as he and iwaizumi came running around a corner. "head to the bus, that our way out of here" yamaguchi yelled. "thanks but we not gonna be able to leave, a couple of those things are eating people in front of the school gate" iwaizumi yelled as they ran to the bus. "I lead them away, you tell everyone to go" Yamaguchi yelled and ran into the building to cut across the should to the gate. 

"where yamaguchi" kenma asked with worry when oikawa and iwaizumi got on the bus. "those things are blocking the gate, with as many as there are it damage the bus as we drove over them so he said go ahead while he distracts them away" oikawa said with a frown and everyone dropped silent. "there no way he out run all those things" hinata said scared. "he said to go on, I dont think he was expecting to survive this" iwaizumi whispered to suga, daichi, akaashi, Bakugo, kenma, kuroo who sat at the front of the bus and not noticing tsukishima hearing them.

"we dont know how long the gate will stay free before they block it again, we should go" Bakugo said with guilt. "yeah, we cant waste yamaguchi brave sacrificing" akaashi said with feeling bad and started to drive.

"yamaguchi clever and he was the first to react when tanaka got attack so I'm sure he be fine and we see him again" kuroo said with a small smile, trying to cheer the rest up but stayed hugging kenma.

"what about kiyoko, she still out there" yachi cried. "she happy now" yaka said as he hugged yachi not sure what else to say. "what the hell happened" nishinoya cried. "I'm not sure" akashi said with fear.

"you dont think he sacrificed himself for us because he not been feeling well and knew he put his in more danger by coming, I dont care if he was sick I dont want to leave him to the hands of the things" suga cried and daichi hugged him tight. "he was sick" tsukishima said shocked and the bus came to the gate it was clear and everyone turned to see a group of those things by a wall trying to grab a certain freckled person foot but had no luck. "he did it, look he alive and safe, he gonna make it" daichi said with a hopeful smile and everyone watched yamaguchi run along the wall with the group of zombie following him.

"get out of here" Yamaguchi yelled and waved his hands to get them to leave and akaashi did as yamaguchi was yelling. "no wait, we can help him, stop the bus" tsukishima yelled as he bang on the window, they just had to wait for yamaguchi to run over, he could make it to the bus in time.

"sorry tsukki" yamaguchi smiled like an angle knowing what tsukishima was yelling but if yamaguchi ran to the bus he lead all the zombies to them and they could take over the bus easy, so he had to stay running away on the wall. "yamaguchi" tsukishima yelled with tears and suga with the help of daichi had to pull him away and hold him down.

Yamaguchi smiled and let his tears fall at he watched the bus leave with all his friends and the one person worth giving hid life for. Tsukki was safe now and he knew the rest of the group was smart to survive from now on. Yamaguchi looked down to the zombie who tried grabbing at him but couldn't reach. He looked around the area to see some of the teams slowly turn into a zombie and other getting eaten or still running. He even saw some hiding inside the school buildings, even the ones where the zombies got inside a classroom eating them. He yelled at a couple tell them to run or get high where the zombies couldn't reach but no one was listen he just watched as more died or some barley escape the school. 

Yamaguchi looked down at the street thinking hard. A couple zombie got out of school and was attack strangers on the roads or just running around. Screams and cried could be heard from everywhere and yamaguchi had to decide. He could jump down from the road to the street leaving the group of zombie inside the school break free but the wall was tall and he risk hurting his foot/ angle as he lands but if he didnt he could run somewhere safe or something. What to do, if he lived he could find tsukishima and tell him how he feels but if he hurt him foot as he fell he would turn into one of those things and might end up killing his team, friends and crush. 

"I want a cake" Yamaguchi moaned and closed his eyes before jumping.
