||Y/n's P.o.v||

"Y/n...I—I..." Naoto struggled to speak as he held my hands.

He was trying to confess to me in front of our classmates. My foot tapped up and down as he prolonged this already painful instead of beautiful experience. I glanced at the clock on the wall of the diner and hoped that he would speed this up.

"I—I, I've liked you for a really long time. You're really pretty, and when you first walked into our class, you've always caught my eye! I think that your eyes are beautiful and you have a really nice...hair and, basically...well you know the rest, but---"

In that moment I stopped bouncing my leg. I pulled my hands away from him and stood up as I slammed my hands on the table.

"Sorry, but I can't do this! Do you even know anything about me?? Because so far in your confession all you've ever done is compliment my physical appearance!! When you like someone, yes you should be attracted to them, but what else?? You know I play sports, right? What's my favorite sport?" I shouted Infront of everyone.

"Uhhhh...w/s?" He asked.

I felt myself tear up, "No! It's baseball! I want to grow up and play baseball!! God, why don't you know that?? I talk about it all the time to you!!"

"Geeze Y/n, calm down. Why are you getting so worked up? I thought you liked me too." He said, putting his hand on my shoulder.

I slapped his hand away, "Yea, well I thought I did too until I realized that all those times you were looking at me with that certain look, it wasn't because you liked me. You just like looking at me...and that's fucked up...I'd rather you just...say you hate me..." 

"Y/n---" I didn't let him finish his sentence due to my sigh. 

All my classmates stared at me in disbelief and instantly I regretted my decision. "I'm sorry, but there's somewhere I have to be. There's somewhere else that's more important than this, so because of that I'll be going now." I said, packing up my bag quickly, "There are two other classmates I need to give a piece of my mind to, who actually took the time to get to know me as a person...two of the very few people that actually made me feel special...two classmates that deserve what's coming to them if they wanna be my friends again..." 

I dropped some money on the table and swung my bad over my shoulder right before I dashed out the diner, "Goodbye everyone!" I shouted right before I ran out the door. The moment I was outside I picked up my speed tenfold. 'God I'm such an idiot...I better be doing the right thing!!' I thought as I ran faster, jumping over a basket of stacked fruits. 'Fuck fuck fuck shit!!'

||Nagisa's P.o.v||

'I think they must have wanted to give us junior high kids the experience of a lifetime.' I thought. Karma and I floated over to a nearby window after we helped the astronauts unload their equipment.

"This might just save him..." Karma said.

"Yeah..." I agreed.

"And that'd be enough for you, right?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, I'm not going against the class's decision to save him...I'm just wondering what Koro Sensei wants us to do." Karma said before he kicked off into another room.

I looked back at him, playing his words over in my head a second time. Why would he bring that up now of all times?

Not long after, we hooked up Karma's phone to the Astronaut's computer to get the data we would need. While Karma and I were crowded around the laptop, captain joined us,

"That's the lab data on preventing that super creature from exploding." He said.

"No signs of falsification." Ritsu confirmed, "I can confirm it's the full data from the experiment question. I'll just grab a copy."

"It's been copied." Karma said, grabbing his phone, "Now to get back and validate it."

"Yea, we don't wanna overstay our welcome." I agreed.

"Hey pop!" Karma called out to the captain, "You can keep this." He said.

He was holding up our fake bomb and chucked it to the captain. He caught it but was very freigented that it would explode,

"Honestly, there's just some sweet bean jelly inside." Karma admitted.

"Oh, no!" The entire crew grimace.

"Just say you were spooked by the bomb to disobey." Karma told them.

I bowed my head at the politely, "We're really sorry for the trouble we've caused!" I exclaimed.

"At least it killed some time, right?" Karma asked.

As we were leaving the captain said in English,

"You guys are an awesome group of heroes!"

"Come back anytime—but next time do it the right way." Another said.

"I've had enough, However...I'll make sure to increase the budget for space exploration when I get in power." He said.

"Yeah—I'm lookin' forward to it." The captain said, "Oh and I hope you get that girl you both like to come back!"

Both Karma and I's face turned red for a second before Karma, said, "Yea no. That's all Nagisa, not me." He said.  The door to our shuttle closed and we began floating away from the spaceship and back to the earth. I leaned back as Karma played his gameboy,

"Our time in space sure went by in a flash." I changed the subject.

"Mmm-hmm." Karma replied.

"Now to see if we can get back to Earth in one piece. Ritsu? Ritsu?"

"I'm on it. I've crunched a ton of numbers to get you down safely. The spaceship may as well be my own body by now. Plus, all those sensors I have are picking up more than ever before. External temperature, air pressure, speed, the scenery...Nagisa, Karma...I even have a clear read on your respiration, your conversation, your heart rate, your warm. To think so much, to move, to feel...How wonderful...This mission has evolved my intelligence—I'm experiencing it firsthand! Hey, you two. I just gained awareness of an emotion for the very first time. I'm happy. Happy to be part of this class." She said.

As the spacecraft began to break through the earth's atmosphere once again, the inside of the shuttle began to heat up immediately. Not long after, Koro Sensei showed upright on time to and held onto the side of the shuttle as the three parachutes ejected.

"So, I didn't need to intercede in the negotiation after all!" We heard him say over all the other noise, "You really must have gotten through to those space guys!" He said.

"Guess so." Karma said.

"Now to give you boys a little shove!" Koro Sensei shouted.

As he continuously hit the outside of the shuttle to change it's trajectory he shouted in pain because of the heat of the earthbound shuttle.

We doubted, fretted, came apart and clashed...And finally, at the end of that long month...we went to space. The moment we landed Karma and I could both hear our classmates cheering for us,

"Hooray! Yay! They did it!" I heard them say.

Karma looked over at me and said,

"Hey Nagisa..."

"Yea?"

"If Y/n doesn't show up tomorrow...you should make up with her...I think it's time things got set straight."

"You think so?" I asked.

"Yea..."

When the doors opened, our classmates stood around our shuttle—which was in the water of our class pool— and cheered for us even louder.

"Congrats guys!!" Our classmates rejoiced.

"Yay you did it!!" Our classmates continued.

"Yes...I'm glad you've both come back safe!" A familiar voice said.

Right as I was stepping out I became face to face with her once again.

"N/n-chan?" Karma asked,

Honestly, I thought I was hallucinating from lack of oxygen, because there was no way on earth she should be hear right now. The last look that she gave me, she looked so hurt and broken. Now though, it's like looking at a different person. A different person who was still so beautiful though, a different person who had healed at least partially from the recent past. A different person who came to see me land safely. Without much thinking I lunge at her, "Y/n!" I was so happy to see her. We were home.
