||Chapter 14!!||
||Y/n's P.o.v||
"Our signature dish: Acorn noodles." Okuda announced, giving the three highschoolers their meals.
The leader's two friends got excited as they stared at the food, then the menus,
"Whoa, this looks great! Hey Ryuki, can I order a Mont Blanc, too?" The cross eyed guy said.
"Yeah! I wanna try the smoked fish!" The other guy with orange hair exclaimed.
"Hey, cool it! Your stupid is showin'!" The leader, who's name I'm guessing is Ryuki, shouted at them.
I twisted the hem of my apron in anticipation, as I watched them begin to eat. I was curious, but also nervous as to what they might think of our dish. Ryuki, the leader took the first bite, and once he did...
"S-so good!" He exclaimed, tears rolling down his face.
I was in awe. Was the food really that good? I hadn't gotten to try any yet.
"We wanted to get lots of reactions and shouts out of them...but there's already a cooking anime that has a monopoly on that." Fuwa said, talking to someone that wasn't there.
Nagisa and I both looked at her in a strange way.
"Uh Fuwa?" Nagisa uttered.
"I feel like I know what anime you're talking about..." I said after Nagisa.
"Not bad, right? I spent a solid week on research. The noodles are acorn, thickened with grated yam. Mountain foods are really strongly flavored, so I went with a rich dipping broth. It was hard work! These pork-bone/soy sauce acorn noodles are the result of my search for the ultimate balance." Muramatsu explained.
"True... I ain't ever tasted anything like this." Another high-schooler, with a beard, said.
I felt my stomach rumble slightly,
"Are you seriously hungry right now?" Nagisa asked me.
I felt attacked, "What are you trying to say?? A girl can't be hungry and pretty??" I hissed.
"I didn't mean it like that--"
"Well it doesn't matter, I'm going to see if Muramatsu will make me something to eat!!" I huffed.
For some reason my Tsudnere game was on 100% today. When I reached the place where Muramatsu was cooking I tried not to act to suspicious,
"Uhh...hey Muramatsu...my favorite...my bestie...westie...?" I began, staring down at his food, "I thought I'd come help you cook..." I told him.
He looked at me suspiciously,
"You know how to cook?" He asked me.
"Well...kinda, but that's not important..."
"It kinda is if you want to help--"
"ANYWAYS, I was wondering if I could taste test your food for you, you know, to see if it's...cooked properly..." I cut him off.
He rolled his eyes at me and crossed his arms, "I knew there was a reason you were here. You're not getting shit."
"Please Muramatsu!" I exclaimed getting onto my knees, grabbing at his apron, "I haven't eaten all day! I'll die if you don't feed me!!" I cried,
"Y/n, get off--"
"Hey, Nagisa! You here?" A girl called out.
I stopped crying. Who the hell was calling out to my Nagisa so casually? I looked over and it was the pink haired little girl named Sakura. It wasn't just her either, it was Mr. Matsukata and the entire daycare too.
"Oh no--" I began.
"Nee-chan!!!" I heard my little brother call out to me.
Before I could even get up to run away from him, he ran over to me and jumped at me. The force of his sudden hug caused me to crash onto the floor, he rubbed his face against mine,
"Now you see why I wanted to be on time today, big sis!!" He exclaimed.
"Ugh! Get of of me!!" I exclaimed removing him from my body.
I heard Muramatsu let out a sigh,
"Y/n...you annoy me..." He said extending his hand out to me.
I took his hand and he hoisted me up,
"Hey, so you kept in touch, Nagisa?" I heard Kataoka ask Nagisa.
I looked over to see what was happening. He was with Sakura, the third grader. "Yeah, I help her study sometimes." Nagisa told Kataoka. Sakura leaned on Nagisa, saying,
"When your private in-house tutor asks you to come you pretty much have to, y'know?" She said.
"Wait to go, Nagisa. We'll make bank on Volume alone!" Maehara said.
I felt my brother tug on my hand,
"Nee-chan!! Take me back to my class!!" He exclaimed.
"Ugh fine!" I exclaimed.
"Y/n, wait..." Muramatsu groaned.
I looked back at him confused, but once I saw the bowl in his hand, my heart melted,
"Here..." He told me.
My eyes began watering, "I-is this for me??" I asked. He let out another sigh,
"Ugh yes, so take it before I change my mind..." He said.
I quickly took the bowl from him,
"Thank you Muramatsu-kun!! I'll be sure to repay you!!" I told him happily as I began walking away with my brother.
After all the kids were done eating, we said goodbye to them. Business after them was slow, and so finally, I had a moment to eat my acorn noodles. They were cold, so I made Muramatsu heat them up for me. Finally, I could sit down and eat a well deserved meal in peace.
"Nagisa-chan! I came to hang out!!" I heard some guy said.
"Hm?!" I exclaimed with noodles in my mouth.
When I saw who it was though, I wasn't sure whether to feel jealous or feel bad. It was that guy from the bar at the hotel. Red Cap guy! Only now, he was wearing a blue cap.
"H-how did you know I went here?" Nagisa asked the classroom window.
I carefully watched the scene play out as I sipped my noodles. I wanted to see where this went before I decided to intervene.
"I looked up the islands' guest records. When I checked the school's website, I saw your festival was underway!"
I guess I shouldn't give him a nickname dealing with his hat if every time I see him he changes the color. He'll just have to be upgraded to Nagisa's stalker boyfriend.
"Ah! Hey! Whoa! Nakamura!" Nagisa exclaimed in an embarrassed tone, looking back.
I got curious. Was Nakamura back there with him? What was she doing that made him flustered? As soon as the thought left my mind, a thousand dirty thoughts clouded my mind. I instantly stood up to stop whatever was happening. I walked over to the window and pushed Nagisa's stalker boyfriend out of the way,
"Excuse me--" I told him, peering inside the room, "Nagisa! Are you okay--"
I made eye contact with Nagisa, then the skirt he was wearing. Before I knew it, blood was rushing out of my nose and I fell through the window into the classroom. My face and head collided with the wood of the classroom floor,
"Y/n!!" I heard Nagisa exclaim.
My head was spinning, my nose was gushing, and my vision was blurry. I felt someone left my head onto their lap, I wasn't sure if it was Nakamura's or Nagisa's.
"Y/n, are you okay?? Why'd you fall through the window!! You're nose is bleeding!!" Nagisa exclaimed.
"Nagisa...I'm fine...and so are you...you're fine too..." I remarked, half way out of it.
"See Nagisa, she's fine! He's rich, we've got to raise our pre customer average anyway we can." Nakamura told Nagisa quiet enough that his stalker boyfriend wouldn't hear, "Think of it this way, we'll have so much money he can pay for Y/n's hospital bills..." She reasoned.
"Billlllsssss!" I exclaimed, still out of it.
"Go get'em, Nagisa!" Nakamura exclaimed, "The fate of Y/n and the class rests on your hostess skills!"
I passed out shortly after.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Lmaooo, something about this chapter is just super funny to me lmaoooo. Oh also, in case you forgot some of the nicknames I gave the characters:
red cap guy was the boy from Chapter 40 in the Second place book. He had a fat crush on Nagisa in a dress and wanted to but him a dress.
If you forgot who the highschoolers are, they're from Chapters 15-17 in the Second place book. They kidnapped Kanzaki, Kayano, and Y/n on class trip, and Koro Sensei along with some other classmates went to go save them.
Oh! And Sakura is the elementary schooler from Chapters 2-3 from this book. I don't think I actually mentioned her in those chapters, but canonly she is the girl that Nagisa tutored while they were at that cramschool/daycare. He helped her get her smarts up so she could take some type of test at school.
In the next chapter, there will be more characters that you might not remember from the books, that I'll also refresh you on as well. So yea! Keep a look out for those in the next chapter.
