~Previously on 'Second Place' in Chapter 13 Part 2~

So basically Y/n spills the beans to her and Nagisa's friend group that they are 'dating' and by dating I mean, they're going on dates but not offically together. Turns out that while they were going to the nurse due to Y/n's bloody nose, they both talked about Y/n's island confession. Nagisa already knew that she liked him, but he wasn't sure he could return the feelings. Nagisa wants to make things work though, and so he wants to date her. Y/n accepted this new challenge of trying to get Nagisa to fall in love with her before the end of the year.

||Y/n's P.o.v||

"Yep. If we beat the A class, they'll let Isogai slide." Maehara said as I walked into the classroom.

I looked around and the class looked at little defeated. I wasn't even late, how the hell did these people keep beating me here everyday?!?! I sighed and walked over to my desk and sat down in my chair,

    "Bah. Obviously they're lookin' to embarrass us." Terasaka said.

I leaned over to Karma and whispered, "Karma, what the hell is going on?!?"

He shrugged,

    "The usual...A class is trying to pick a fight with us...Although, this time, I think you'll do just fine..." He said.

I raised a brow at him,

    "Huh? What do you mean??" I asked him.

Oh my Gosh, How could I forget my most favorite Kunugigaoka Junior High event?!? The freaking sports event?!! The literal most fun thing on the entire earth, and I get to participate in all of the events,

    "1 event?!?! What do you mean I can only participate in one event?!?! I signed up for every damn one!!" I exclaimed at the person in charge, trying to claw their eyes out,

    "I know, Y/n, but the gym teacher said you could only participate in one, otherwise it wouldn't be fair for anyone else!" They shrieked.

This made me even more angry and I tried to attack him more,

    "Y/n, calm down!! It's not the end of the world, just pick one! You're holding up the sign up line!!" Nagisa told me as I struggled to get out of his grasp.

    "Nagisa let me go! I need to teach this jerkhole a lesson!!" I shouted at him

"Y/n, no!"

In the end...I still only got to pick one event. My old coach, aka the stupid gym teacher said I was lucky he didn't just pick some random event for me. I ended up reluctantly picking the simple 300 meter stupid hurdles. Of course though, I was in first place, what can I say though? Jumping over those stupid things were nothing compared to that shit I have to jump over for gym in E-class. Those girls all looked so slow compared to me, but that's also nothing new. When I crossed the finish line Karma literally booed me for not beating my fastest time, so yea...I'm starting to see my old coach's point of view now. If I was able to do everything I wanted, I would have crushed those girls without a doubt. Once I went back to the stands Karma started messing up my hair,

    "What the hell was that Y/n?!?! Are you trying to put your ancestors to shame or something? Run fast next time you freaking animal!" He teased rubbing his hand on my hair.

I pushed hand hand off me and flipped him off,

    "Eat shit red head! I'd like to see you beat my damn time!!" I protested.

Karma chuckled and I was about to give him a knuckle sandwich, when suddenly I felt another hand on my head, who then also proceeded to mess up my hair,

    "Great Job Y/n! I expected nothing less from you!" Nagisa exclaimed happily.

I turned towards him and bowed respectfully,

    "Thank you so much! That means the most to me!!" I exclaimed.

    "You idiot..." I heard Karma say from behind me.

    Now it was time for the exhibition match. E-class boys versus A-class boys. Us girls and Koro Sensei were  watching from the stands. However, one thing I noticed about A-class' team was...THEY HAD GROWN MEN!! I was so damn confused that I thought I was seeing things and was about to have a heat stroke. I was not mistaken though, those were grown men on their middle school team...Okay no, turns out those muscular looking guys were weird foreigners...probably on steroids or something I don't know, but I've never seen anything like them. I started feeling nervous for my boys, but then I realized...I had to have faith in them or else no one else would!! Every team needs a cheerleader, and I'll be damned if it's gonna be anyone other than me,

    "GOOOO BOYSSS!! YOU CAN DO THIS!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!! ESPECIALLY YOU NAGISA!!!" I shouted from the stands.

I don't know why I had the urge to say that last part, but it earned me a smile from Nagisa so I was grateful. The guys were all crowed around their pole for the pole-toppling event. The game began and I watched as intently as I could. It didn't start out so good, Yoshida and Takyua got basically tossed to the side by that American steroids guy. All was well though, because the boys had a plan and ended up trapping the American steroids guy and the other guys with him, under our own pole!! Itona was literally just clutching onto the top of the pole stick to add weight to make them stay!! It was crazy, and I loved it, so I cheered for them. However, more guys came right at the, but then some of the guys started running towards the pole, but the were quickly started to get surrounded. What a nerve racking thing to see!!

    Then suddenly the E-class boys literally jumped into the stands and the A-class team pursued them. They were jumping chair to chair avoiding the snatches and grabs from A-Class, it was such a beautiful sight to see. How glorious! They were all up in the A-class stands while our class could just sit back and watch the chaos unfold from a distance. I was so busy watching the stands, I almost missed Yoshida and Takuya running towards the A-class pole, guarded by Asano himself. They charged at the pole and grabbed at Asano. I gasped in shock, along with the rest of my classmates.

    "We're done running! Okay, team: Sonic!" Isogai announced.

Then all the E-Class boys from the stands hopped over and out of the stands like Isogai had done. They charged towards Asano as well. They all were at the pole, and now all was left was to get Asano off it. I was practically screaming my throat raw for those stupid boys. Asano had a few tricks up his sleep though, he literally did some kind of black belt Martial Arts thing, and flipped Yoshida off him! Then he quickly like maneuvered up to the top of the pole like a ninja, and kicked Takuya in the face! Seeing him do that made me wonder if he was an assassin himself, because what the hell were those moves?!? Oh no, the guys from the stands were running up to them again!! It was only a matter of time before everyone on our team was beaten to a damn pulp!!

Don't even get my started on Asano again. He was literally flipping off the pole and kicking people, and stuff!! This whole damn thing was getting so stressful to watch!! Even Isogai got kicked onto the ground, and he's like a poor prince! And then that's when the rest of Eclass ran over and also jumped at the pole. I didn't even notice them making their way over there. At this point it was just a battle of who could hang on the longest. Everyone was over at the A-class pole doing something. There were so many people there...I didn't even know what was happening anymore. Then Isogai was screaming for Itona to come on, and that's when I saw him running towards Isogai and hopped on his hands, and he flew through the sky!! Itona kicked the pole, and it started toppling over. Then Itona grabbed onto the end of the pole, and it finally fell onto the damn ground.

There was a brief silence, even from myself, and that is a rare thing...Yep...E-CLASS WON!!!!!!! I literally screamed my throat out even more to cheer for him. They did it! Now Isogai wasn't going to get expelled! And now that I though about it, I had no idea what Isogai was going to be expelled for...I really needed to pay more attention to things...

Once the event was over, the guys were putting away chair and stuff. I notice Itona alone so I decided to run over to him. I attacked him with a hug,

"Itona-kun!! Why is my bestie so damn awesome?!?!" I exclaimed crushing his bones.

"Get off me Y/n!" He rasped out.

I decided to listen to him for once and I got off him. I beamed at him happily, "great work Bestie!" I exclaimed holding up my hand to him. He raised a brow,

"What are you doing?" He asked confused.

"Huh?!?! Do you not know what a half five is?!?!" I exclaimed.

I didn't give him the chance to answer before I grabbed his wrist and tapped his hand with mine,

"You're literally my age, how have you gone your whole life without knowing what a half five is?!?" I scolded him.

"Who said I didn't--"

I caught a glimpse of blue hair out the corner of my eye and got distracted, I wanted to talk to my love interest Nagisa.

"Nagisa!!!" I called out.

I looked back at Itona, "K, fun taking to you bestie, but I gotta go!" I told him as if he were my pet. Then I ran over to Nagisa, and almost tackled him in a hug,

"Nagisaa!!!" I shouted again, "You did so amazing!! You're literally so damn awesome!! Buy me food so we can celebrate together!"

I heard Nagisa chuckle and I felt his hand rubbing my back,

"Ew gross guys, knock it off!" I heard stupid Maehara say.

I scowled a bit and let go of Nagisa, and turned to face Maehara. He was holding quite a few chairs,

"Stop making out with your boyfriend in front of the closet and help but these chairs away!" He told me, throwing a couple my way.

I just barely caught them, "Nagisa ain't my boyfriend...yet...And we obviously weren't kissing dipshi!" I shouted before turning to put the chairs away.

Geeze, the audacity of some people!!

After everything was put away, we all saw Asano and the other regular A-class members, "Hey, Asano!" Maehara called out to him.

We all stood there as Maehara continued to say,

"You mean it, right? About keeping that secret?"

"I never lie." He told him, "I don't resort to underhanded tactics, unlike you.But next time will be different. I'll chase you all into oblivion."

Asano then walked away from us. Tersaka let out a laugh,

"Hah. Sore loser." He scoffed.

"Hey, big words from a big loser fall on deaf ears!" Nakamura added.

Maehara put his hand on Isogai's shoulders,

"Don't sweat it. He can't understand your struggle."

"No," Isogai began, "It's not like I've gone through anymore than he has. Today, with all of you helping me out, I was actually glad to be poor." He said.

I felt myself tearing up and wiped my eyes. The Poor Prince always had such a way with words, and if I wasn't so into Nagisa I'd totally be head over heels for him,

"H-how beautiful!!" I exclaimed trying with all my might not to cry.

Karma elbowed me in the head, "Shut up...you big baby..." He said.

"I can't help it!!"

And now I'm sobbing...

"Whoa! leftover s from the bread eating contest!" Isogai exclaimed.

I instantly stopped crying to take a look at that bread. My stomach growled as soon as my eyes met those of the bread. I grumbled and clutched my sad stomach, but then a hand was placed on my head,

"Hey, Y/n, what do you want to eat? My treat!" Nagisa tole me.

My face flushed with heat,

"No wait! I'll pay for desert, and Karma, you come too!! I'll pay for you since I'm such good wife material!!" i exclaimed before I could stop myself.

They both chuckled at what I said,

"Well..." Karma trailed off, "What are we still doing here, I want my free dinner!"
