She fumbled with her thumbs as she rocked on her heels. "Uhm A-Adrien," Marinette started. "I h-have to tell you something." She mumbled the last part and wouldn't look at him. Adrien lifted a brow but followed her to the side of the building where they could speak privately.

"What is it Mari?" He asked as she blushed Crimson.

"I-I like you!" Marinette finally blurted out. After likely him for so long, she finally got to say it. "I love you in fact!"

"O-oh," Adrien scratched the back of his neck. "I uhm like someone else."

"Do you mind me asking who?" Her world was gone and all that was left was darkness for Marinette.

"Ladybug," Marinette looked up at him. "I sound like a fanboy but she's just so amazing. Her eyes..." Marinette zoned out and the only sound she heard was her own heart shattering.

'H-h-he likes Ladybug. No wonder. No one could love to real me.' Tears built up in Marinettes eyes and she ran home and away from Adrien. He looked as the bluenette ran from him as he got out of his love trance of Ladybug. "Wait, Marinette!" Adrien started to run after her. He went down the street then lost her when she ducked into an alley. He looked in the alley only to see that it was empty.

Marinette ran to her house and bursted through the front door. She ran upstairs to her room, her parents asking her what's wrong but she didn't stop. She sat on her chaise and hugged her knees, crying into them for hours. Tikki tried to calm her down to no avail. Hours past and she was in the same position as moonlight dripped through her window and onto the floor of her room. A purple and black winged butterfly flew into her room and fluttered around, trying to find an object of hers to go into.

"Marinette! An Akuma!" Tikki yelled with her high pitched voice.

Marinette looked up at the butterfly and spread her legs out on the chaise. She dropped them over one side and stood up. "T-Tikki what do I do?"

Tikki was about to speak, but it was too late. The Akuma went thought her shirt, skin, muscles and bones all the way down to her shattered heart and a purple outline of a butterfly appeared on her face. "Your heart shattered and so goes his. Ladybug, I give you the power to break his heart like he broke yours," Marinettes eyes darted from side to side as she contemplated what would happen. The Akuma was in her heart, that she didn't know. "What do you say, do we have a deal?"

"Yes Hawkmoth." Her voice wasn't as confident as others but she agreed. Tikki watched in utter horror as he beloved Marinette turned into Ladybug. Her skintight outfit looked like Ladybugs, only it was purple instead of red.

"Go now, my little bug. It's almost patrol time for the two heroes."

"Okay Hawmoth," She jumped out of her window, Tikki following her. She swung form building to building until she came upon one and stopped, waiting for Chat Noir so she could hurt him, just for fun. Adrien walked down the street, stilling looking for Marinette, when he saw her, smiling he transformed into Chat Noir and climbed up the building. He held his staff out ready to start the patrol when Ladybug ducked and swung her leg under his and he fell to the ground. She grabbed his staff and broke it in half, like it was a twig. "You won't stop me TomCat."

"L-Ladybug?" Chat moved backwards as she came forwards, her swinging her yo-yo like it had a ball with spikes on the end.

"How'd you guess? Bet you can't guess who I really am!" A smirk grew on her face as she jumped foreword, trying to hit him. Chat moved to the side and stood up, running across rooftops away from her. He thought about who she could be and how this could have happened to the only person he knew who could smile in the worst of times.

He ran it through his mind but couldn't think of anyone. He got to a building he couldn't jump onto, since the gap between them was so big and he didn't have his staff. "L-Ladybug, please, don't do this." She swung her yo-yo, a smirk on her face as she was towards him. Chat took a step back, his foot almost going over the edge as he tried to think of a way out.

"He broke my heart into a thousand pieces! Now I'm going to do that to you!" The gears in he is head clicked together as she jumped foreword.

"Marinette stop!" He shouted and she did stop, a smirk appearing on her face and her yo-yo swing straight after.

"Bravo! You did it Kitty! Now, back to business," She smirked and ran towards him. Chat jumped off the building and landed in the business streets of Paris. He didn't notice it turn to day as he was running. He ran down the busy street, dodging people as they gapped at the evil Ladybug. He scanned her up and down, trying to find an object to destroy that weren't the earrings. They were still red, Tikki clearly hiding in them and watching. He ran into the school and hid, his breathing fast as he tried to catch his breath. "Fight me you coward!"

He darted his eyes on the ground, trying to think of something that could save his tail, only one thing coming to mind. "Adrien don't," Plagg spoke in his head. "Don't do that. You know there are more ways. She wants to kill you as Adrien!"

"I-I know but if I don't then she'll kill half of Paris." He thought about coming as Adrien.

"Just fight her as Chat! Trust me." Chat sighed and nodded and ran out of his hiding spot. He didn't have his staff. He was majorly screwed.
