Two Years Later

Adrien walked around his house, yes his. Gabriel died when he was 17 because of a work overdose. He didn't eat and died of starvation and dehydration. Nooroo followed him around. He was 19. No one lived in the house but him and it was practically abandoned. He boarded up the windows and always kaput the doors locked. He fired everyone. The business was still up and running. He had millions of dollars and paid Nathalie to keep it going in another location and to give him cash when he needed it.

Nooroo flew into the kitchen and came back with a rotten apple, dropping it to the unkept floor. "Master, I think you need to go shopping."

Adrien sighed. He hadn't gotten food in months. He rarely ate as it was and had lost a lot of weight. "Wallet." Nooroo grabbed his wallet and then flew into his jacket. He walked out of the house and opened the gates. They creaked as they opened. He walked to the store and found a lot of people there. He pulled his hoodie up. After Gabriel died he got snake bit lip piercings, three on his left and two on his right. He got a tattoo of a YinYang on his shoulder. He went through the aisles, getting what he needed and walked down another.

He didn't need much. Just enough to last him two weeks. He walked into the fruits and grabbed a couple apples and bananas. Nooroo reminded him of the food he needed and he grabbed him some. Even if Adrien never saw light, his skin always stayed a healthy tan color no one could miss. "Adrien?" He froze in place. he pulled down his hood and looked at Alya and Nino. "Adrien, dude, everyone thought you were dead."

"Nope." He continued his shopping, them following.

"Where've you been?"

"Around." He didn't want to talk. Hell, this was his first time talking in months. His voice was scratchy. He didn't have monologs with his akumas. He just told them what he needed them to do from his head to theirs. He didn't need to talk.

"Well if you've been around why haven't we seen you since high-"

"I don't have time for your questions, okay. If you have to talk to me about anything, just say it. Don't just make conversation." He glared at them. This wasn't the Adrien they knew.

"Uh, sorry about your dad." Alya rubbed the back of her neck.

"Thanks for your condolences," Adrien rolled his eyes. He was being rude, again. He turned down an aisle and they still followed. He growled and turned to them. "Is there anything else you want?"

"Uhm," Alya nudged Ninos side. "Marinettes four year death day is tomorrow. Lila is throwing a party in her honor. Maybe, you should come."

"I've got plans." Adrien checked out and walked away from them.

"Doing what!" Alya yelled and he rolled his eyes as they ran to him. Why were they even at the store if they weren't even going to buy anything? "What in gods name is so important that you can't go to a party?" Adrien glared at her and walked past her. She ran up to him, then in front of him. "Why the fuck do you think you're more important then everyone?"

"I don't think I'm better then everyone."

"Then why the fuck are you acting like it!" Alya yelled at him. Adrien glared at her, put bags down and pulled up his sleeve. Alya and Nino gasped. Most of the scars were new. He pulled his sleeve down, grabbed the bags he put down and walked past her. he got to the gate of his house and walked inside, locking the gate and doors. Everything still worked. The electricity, phone, water. He paid for it with what Nathalie gave him. He never got vistors and preferred to keep it that way. His phone rang for the first time in years.

"Hello?" Adriens voice shook. He didn't know how to talk on the phone anymore.

"Dude," he groaned, knowing who it was. "Just, stay for an hour. Everyone would be glad to know you're not dead and, just do it for Marinette."

Marinette

Adrien sighed. "Fine I'll go."
