12 | I Don't Make Friends

My eyes close of their own accord as his lips seal to mine, stealing the breath in my lungs like it's his to take.

My hands come up, settling on his shoulders, nails digging in through the fabric.

He grunts, biting my lips in retaliation.

I wrench my lips back; breathing out harshly.

"We shouldn't be doing this." I say but make no move to back away.

"Oh, I think this is exactly what we should be doing."

His hands fall onto my hips, fingers digging into the fleshy part of my waist, before he's back to kissing me, taking and taking from me like I'm a fountain and he's a man dying of thirst.

The creature inside writhes and twists, shoving at the mental chain I have it locked in.

Malachis fingers slip under the fabric of my shirt and I tense for only a moment before the circling of his thumb has me relaxing back into the door.

"What do you want, babygirl?" He murmurs against my lips, nipping at the bottom one. His hand comes up, clutching at my jaw so he can move my face whatever way he wants.

I groan at the contact, at the way he moves my body to his liking. Not use to the way my body is reacting to him.

His bites my lip harshly in retaliation when I don't answer straight away.

"I don't know." I say truthfully, because I don't know what I want from him. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't even know why I'm letting this happen.

Yes I want to take back control but with the guy who held a knife to my throat, one who so obviously is buried in the life I'm trying to leave behind?

Colton would kill me if he knew. Kill us. The thought has a thrill racing through me.

He made it very clear what would happen if I was to ever share my body with another, if I was to ever just kiss someone.

So fuck him and fuck his archaic rules.

I can kiss whoever the hell I want to and god do I want to continue kissing Malachi.

He pulls back, staring into my eyes and I feel his hand tighten on my hip.

He looks down to where it settles on my skin and I follow his gaze, riveted as we both watch his hand slip towards the buttons at my jeans.

He pops the button free and waits a second.

When I don't say anything, he moves to slowly pull the zip down.

Glancing back up, I find his eyes on me once more, asking a question that he hasn't voiced yet.

I nod, almost imperceptibly, my heart thumping away behind the cage of my ribs as his hand slips beneath my jeans and panties, pad of his fingers finding my centre quickly.

His blue eyes are steady on mine as he circles my clit with his thumb, fingers pumping in and out of me.

A soft moan escapes me and I catch it in my throat, not wanting anyone outside the closet to hear me, or us.

Malac has no such qualms as he pumps harder, his other hand coming to curl around my throat, thumb placed gently against my pulse.

My hand flinches up to remove his hand but I stop, not feeling any familiar trauma creep its way in, not feeling anything but lust and a little bit of reckless danger in the air.

Malachi leans forward, unaware of my internal thoughts, lips skimming mine as he whispers.

"I want Kade and Killian to be able to hear you screaming my name." He nips me before smashing his lips against mine like he's trying to punish me for something.

I glare instead, biting his lips back, hard. He doesn't seem bothered by the sting of pain as my teeth pierce his bottom lip, tasting iron in my mouth.

He pulls back, tongue poking out to lick up the small drop of blood and his eyes hood further, "kinky, Rosie girl. Now scream my name."

I narrow my eyes further and seal my lips shut and Malac takes it as a challenge, curling his fingers as he pumps them in, hitting a spot just right that has the moan slipping from my lips unbidden.

"Not loud enough, baby."

He brings a hand to my lips, tracing them almost reverently but I take his finger in my mouth, biting down on it to stifle the scream I know wants to slip from my lips as the orgasm builds in me.

Malac chuckle darkly, "You're going to cum for me, aren't you, Noah." The words are more of a demand than a question, yet they're right all the same. "Squeeze my fingers."

It's the first time I'd heard him say my name and the action has me coming all over his fingers, my chest rising and falling in hurried breaths.

He keeps pumping even as I fall from the high, prolonging the orgasm and having it build up again before he slips his hand free of my jeans.

"That's a good girl."

I almost stumble back into the door as I try to right my zip once more, if it wasn't for Malac's hand curling around my upper arm and catching me against his chest.

I let out a small grunt at the contact, and slowly push myself off before I pop the button back into place.

"You should probably get going, Rosie." The words are strained as he says them, "I have something to deal with here." He grunts, sounding like he's in pain but a laugh exits my lips.

"Something little?" I tease.

He grunts, glaring at me with no heat in his eyes. "That's for me to know and you to find out Rosie."

I laugh but stumble out of the closet, beginning to close him off in the darkness.

"Oh, and Babygirl?"

I open the door back a fraction, raising a brow at Malac.

He lifts his fingers to his lips, sucking them into his mouth with a devilish look in his eyes. "You taste delicious."

Then he's reaching past me for the door, flinging it open and causing me to step into his body so he can.

Then he's gone, long legs striding down the hallway towards class.

I quickly follow, watching him closely as he whistles low under his breath and reaches into his pocket, retrieving the same switchblade he'd held against my throat days earlier.

A noise reaches my ears from down the hall, steps slowing as I hear a voice hissing commands yet I can't make out the words, the person speaking too low.

I round the bend, finding Sienna cornering a cowering student into the lockers, poking a sharpened nail into their shoulder as she snaps something else.

She shifts slightly and that's when I see the student is Kat, her blonde hair falling into her face as if she was using the strands as a shield.

I move, slipping beside Sienna. "What are you doing Sienna?" Her wild eyes come to rest on me and she straightens dramatically. "Don't you have a boyfriend to go suck up to?" I tilt my head. "Or suck off."

"This conversation doesn't concern you, trash."

I blink lazily, settling in beside Kat. "You're screeching loud enough to wake the dead and it's annoying me so therefore it concerns me."

Sienna scoffs, the sound full of disdain. "I have better things to do than stand here conversing with you lot."

I nod, "then go do it."

She narrows her eyes but storms off, huffing under her breath before muttering towards Kat. "Make sure it's done."

I watch Sienna leave before turning to Kat. "You need to learn to stand up for yourself."

She sighs, crossing her arms. "It's easier to just let her-"

"Walk all over you?"

"You don't get it, you're new." She mutters, big blue eyes swimming with sadness. "You have the privilege of coming in as a new girl and standing up for yourself." She begins walking and I follow, listening to her. "If I did that, I would just be laughed at. Being a wallflower is easier."

"So you'd prefer they treat you like shit?"

"I've been going to school with these over-privileged scumbags since second grade, I've seen what happens to those that step out of line." Her words hold a note of fear, fear that stems from seeing too much, heating it.

I look around the hall, trying to see what has Kat so scared.

"They're kids, teenagers."

There's worse out there, is what I don't say.

She looks at me and sighs. "You're just lucky those three have decided they liked you, or at least some of them have."

"I wouldn't say they like me." I shrug, "they tolerate me."

Kat doesn't say anything as the bell for class rings and more students start spilling out into the halls. She moves to scurry off but I stop her with a hand on her shoulder. "What was Sienna talking about?"

She blinks her eyes at me before shrugging again. "Nothing."

"Kat-"

"She's my roommate."

Pity.

"And?"

"She's having a get together with Lachlan." She hesitates, "And others, tonight and told me I had to find somewhere else to sleep."

"She's kicking you out of your room?"

"She does it most nights." Kat says like it's no big deal. "The librarian lets me stay late most nights and she'll forget to turn a light off or check the back section before she closes up." She shrugs. "It's fine."

"Kat, that is not safe." I furrow my brows at her. "Anyone can enter the library."

"It's the library." Kat says in defence.

"What you think some prince is going to sprout from one of the pages and protect you if some drunk teenager decides to check it out?"

Her eyes drop as she mumbles something. "I don't want a prince."

I roll my eyes. "That's not the point." My shoulders drop and for a second I debate doing what I'm about to do but I do it anyway cause I'm an idiot.

"I have a spare room, if Sienna kicks you out you can stay there."

Kat looks up at me in surprise. "I thought you didn't like me?"

"I don't." I mutter and turn on my heel, moving towards my next class.

I don't.
