Chapter Four

"Calm down Phillips!" Greyson exclaimed as I was ready to have a heart attack.

"Greyson! Give me Sam right now!" I shouted as my head was blown with all my thoughts.

"Sophia how the fuck do you think I could do that?" he remarked as I heard him striding and locking a door.

"I want to talk to him I just miss him." I tried so hard not getting emotional. But how can my brother be in danger and I couldn't do anything about it?

"Look, he thinks you are dead! He's been strong, don't worry about him." What he said made my heartache.

Before I left, I had been trying so hard to keep space between me and him. It was difficult for me to do that to Sam. He was a brother and my best friend.

"How is he?" I asked my voice cracking.

He sighed, "Sophia, you should not worry, I'm taking care of everything."

"Greyson, I just want to know if he is safe, what we are doing here is too dangerous!" I spoke, my heart was tugging hard in my chest.

"He is fine Miss Phillips don't worry," he said with boldness.

"Stop being formal Greyson!" I practically shouted through the speaker.

"Hey, I have to go okay. Everything is fine so stop worrying. Contact me if you need anything." He then ended the call leaving me to hear the beeping sound.

I'm lying on my bed, and my head throbbed with pain. Dropping the phone above my head and looking intently at the white ceiling. I should make more effort into this and be done with it.

Without hesitation, I got up from my bed ready to pull out a dressy outfit. I remembered the Blakes owned a club, VIP night club. My work card will do the job perfectly. I kind of have a feeling, that Adam is spending the night there.

I might look desperate, but I seriously am. Hopeless for more information.

What if I was wrong about him all these years?

I shook my head, trying to focus on a dress to wear. I grabbed my black Bardot bodycon dress and laid it on the white clean mattress. I walked directly to my bathroom to get a quick shower. When I got out, I unwrapped myself from the pink towel, picking up from the drawers one of my favourite lace black lingerie.

That fitted perfectly under the tight dress. The ribs on the dress sat perfectly on my curves. I curled my hair with the curler, before adding a bit of makeup on my face. Slipping on my black heels, then added a diamond necklace around my neck.

On my way out I grabbed my phone from the bed and a small black purse from the drawer under my bulb lamp. I walked to the door with my heels clicking on the white floor. I inspected the place for my dagger, that was wrapped with a thin sheath on my upper right thigh, hidden under the dress.

Perfect.

I opened up the door before grabbing a black leather coat from the coat hanger. As I went down the stairs, I tried my best not to fall on my 6-inch heel.

My car was parked in front of the house. I plopped myself in and turned on the engine, making my way to the club.

After a few minutes the traffic raised, the cars were honking loudly. The people were crowded forming a group in the middle of the road.

I felt the urge to shoot them all with my gun hidden in the dashboard.

I begin counting in silence, trying my best to calm down. It took a few minutes staring from the windshield of my car before my eyes widen at the sight in front of me.

Adam Blake, with an open shirt screaming at every person in the crowd that was cheering and laughing at him. He made his way in front of my car stumbling and hiccupping. It took me a few minutes to get the scene all in before I open the door walking to where he was standing.

"I have a Sim under my skin," he stated as his back was facing me.

The people around him begin to clap and laugh thinking that was a joke.

"I never knew it had been funny until now. Because of you guys!" He smiled and pointed at everyone while he's stumbling and turning to face each one of them.

He turned completely towards me and gaped while his finger was still pointing out. I was oddly examining him. With my furrowed eyebrows.

"Sophia?" he said, his gorgeous mouth still open wide.

I was taken aback by his move once he hugged me tightly.

My body was still in total shock, it was stiffer than a wall. I didn't know what to do.

He then said happily. "You're still alive!"

The crowd suddenly turned into awe and happy cheering and whistling. He took a step back taking my face in his hands. Puffing my cheeks to look like a fish. He looked suddenly confused as he observed me.

"No you-u are not S-Sophia," he mumbled. I grabbed his hand dragging him behind me while reaching the passenger seat.

"Bye guys!" He said as he popped his head from the window. The traffic eased out as I reached my seat. The people got back to what they were doing.

I speed out, clenching my jaw, as we drove away from the Black VIP club.

"Put your seat belt on!" I ordered not looking at him because if I do I would kill him.

"Yes, ma'am!" he said as I heard shuffling with the buckle.

"Don't you ever call me that you prick!" I shouted, clearly annoyed at him.

"What's wrong with you Adam? Someone could've killed you." I shouted holding up my hand from the wheel, frustrated. I was shocked at my words because I was the one who's supposed to end him.

I shake my head and sighed, trying to calm my nerves down.

My mind was all over the place, not knowing what to do with a drunken man. Should I take him to my place or his? I thought. To me, it was obvious to take him to his, since I might get some information from there.

After what felt like hours with Blake singing random songs loudly, I stopped the car in front of a beautiful penthouse.

I got out closing the door behind me. I stood in front of the passenger seat and opened the door for him. He trips out on me.

His whiskey breath was now fanning my face. I shoved him a bit snaking his arm around my shoulder.

I closed the passenger door behind us, as I held Blake by his waist.

"I knew you were trouble when you walk-ked in-" Adam begins singing off-key making me cringe.

"Shut up for one second." I hissed at him as we got up the stairs to meet with a bodyguard right at the front door.

"Hey-y buddy! You know the story of the s-" Adam stopped as I pinched him at the waist.

I waited for the bodyguard to open the door. Oddly, he didn't, instead, he was shooting daggers at me not even helping me with nearly 160 pounds of muscles that I nicely braced.

"ID, please," he exclaimed.

"It's fine bro she's my assistant!" Blake said as he raised his hand drunkenly at him.

The bodyguard literally ignored his boss, as he stood still looking at me like I was an ugly duckling.

I sighed, reaching for my business card in my pocket coat. He nodded after looking at it and punched a button to open the blank door in front of us.

We entered the house. What I first saw was a tidy white couch. I hold Adam tightly and pushed him onto it. Once he fell backwards, he gripped my wrist, making me fall on top of him.

I was now sitting on his lap looking at those smiling grayish eyes.

"You might get hotter in this," he smirked as he unbuttoned my coat in a fast move and made it Fall on the floor next to his feet.

He took a long breath as he observed my dress with glistening eyes.

My body shivered slightly as his fingers made their way around my waist.

Get a grip, Sophia!

I loosen up his tight grip and got up fixing my dress. While doing so, his head rested on the head of the sofa and closed his eyes while his lips parted.

I looked around me, trying to find his room for a clue. I saw a staircase leading upwards, following up to where it leads. Only to enter a large room.

That room instantly took my breath away as I walked into it. The ceiling was made from glass making all the stars show up, the room was shining bright with its light. There was a king-sized bed in the middle of it. At the sight of it, I felt like I wanted to sleep on it so badly. I shook that feeling away looking at a wooden desk in front of a tall bookshelf.

I held up the files, there was nothing on them only some deals That Blake had made. I opened the desk drawer no papers were in, there was a photo that made me drop myself on the chair while staring at it.

That was the same fucking photo I was looking at yesterday.
