Severus takes the box and carefully opens it seeing a small black kitten with blue eyes.

"Shes adorable." Severus says picking the kitten up.

Fred shrugs. "You need a pet for hogwarts."

"And we unknowingly had a hand in your incedent." George adds.

"Amd we dont want to be used for ingrediants when your fixed." Fred finsihes.

Severus cuddles the kitten to his chest. "Thank you."

One twin ruffles his hair as the other one squeezes his shoulder and they walk away. Severus smiles down at the kitten who looks up at him and gives a small mew.

Once they finish shopping they go back to grimuald place. Severus Ron and Harry goes to there room to put everything they got into there trunks.

Severus finishes organizing and picks the kitten up and plays with her.

Ron looks at him smiling a little. Thinking he actually looks a little cute playing with the kitten.

A little while later they are called down to have dinner. Severus keeps the kitten closed off in the room and follows the trio down glancing around.

Severus sits with them glancing at Remus and Sirius suddenly not feeling hungry anymore. Once everyone is done eating. Severus hardly taking even a bite Dumbledore comes to talk to Severus.

Severus follows Dumbledore into a private room and silently waits for him to speak. "How are you my boy?"

Severus just shrugs and looks at the floor thinking that this defntly beats being with his father. Though he does miss his mother... and lily. 

"Well im glad this is all going decent for you. Are you carious as to what will happen once you get to school?" 

Severus just shrugs. At least i wont need to deal with the marauders. he thinks to himself. 

"Well i have decided not to hide your identy since that will be to much explaining to do and people may figure it out any way. You'll just be with the Slytherins. They should respect you enough to not cause any issues while you are in this state. Any way that is all have a good night." 

Severus watches Dumbledore leave and harry try to talk to him but the old man seems to just completely blow harry off. Severus frowns slightly wondering why he is giving harry the cold shoulder.  Surly he wont be so mean to James Potters spawn. 

When they all go to bed Severus silently plays with the kitten as the other two boys seem to just pass out. Then the kitten falls asleep leaving Severus awake and bored. Severus sighs and pets the sleeping kitty looking over at the other two. Severus slowly and quietly gets up setting the now annoyed kitten on the pillow beside him and sneaks out of the room and starts walking the halls making sure to keep quiet. Luckily he has had loads of practice and this is easier with carpet floors. 

"What are you doing?" 

Severus jumps and turns to see ron has followed him. "I couldnt sleep. Sorry i woke you."

"Harrys made me a light sleeper because hes always having nightmares and waking me up to go on sucide missions." rons says in a light tone to show hes not annoyed with either harry or severus. 

Severus nods slowly. "What are these sucide missions?" He asks as Ron and him go back to wondering the halls.

Ron smiles and tells severus about there last four years of Hogwarts. making sure to make Severus sound nicer and more caring than Harry and hismelf thought he has been.

"So Hermione cought me on fire?" Severus asks when ron is done. 

"Well to be fair she felt bad once we realized you were only protecting harry."

"Still im impressed. That she figured all that and went to set me on fire." 

 Ron shrugs and looks at the time. "Cant belive its seven in the morning."

"How about we make breakfast? Im not tired." Severus says as they head into the kitchen.

Ron shrugs. "Sure. harry told me he used to have to wake up early and cook for his faimly. He learned from five."

"I had to cook for myself. or id get no food." 

"Why is that?" 

"Dad would make mum only cook for him and herself. Saying i need to learn to take care of myself. She was not allowed to help me with anything. Even if i hurt myself in the kitchen." Severus tells him as he looked through the pantry cabinets and fridge in search of what to make. 

Ron nods watching him. "You know you can use a chair instead of climbing on the counter." 

Severus shrugs ignoring him. Then as he turns he missteps and falls, ron catches him and falls himself. 

Severus blushes and quickly gets to his feet. "Well. I got everything. Lets start cooking." 

Ron gets up and tries to help Severus but hardly ever needing to cook Severus instead teaches him what to do. And ron can tell Severus isnt annoyed with him. So he smiles and lets severus teach. 

Once they are done they set the table and Molly comes in. "Oh you boys cooking. Well it all looks delicious you did a amazing job." She says and hugs them. Severus flinching slightly. "Why dont you two go and wake everyone." 

Severus follows Ron upstairs and lets him do the waking up thing.
