K, so I just read something about evidence on how DDLC didn't take place in Japan so... I guess I'll make a weeb school in America? Yea, that sounds like something a typical American with a small brain would do, so I'll do it! Also, to give all the guys a fair shot I'm going to put the MC as just moving to the area. (I have a soft spot for the best-friend-I've-known-since-like-birth troupe) Anyways, I hope y'all will like the story. I'll update when I feel like since I am very busy with marching band and like 3 AP classes (they would only offer 3 and I'm kinda glad because it's only the second week of school and I'm already drowning in homework).

Oh! I also named the MC Ruby White.

      It's the first day; a new beginning. My dad got a new job in a different state, so I had to move to a new house. I couldn't have stayed even if I wanted too. I only have dad, and he only has me. Mom died when I was first born, so I don't really know too much about her. Every time I ask dad about her he gets this sad look in his eyes like even hearing her name brings pain to him, so I don't really ask about mom.

      We moved from a trailer into this really big house- well, I guess it's normal sized for most people. For us, there were two bedrooms, one bathroom, a tiny kitchen and a living room. This house was so much bigger than what I used to live in; it's great! There are two stories! On the first floor we have a living room, a kitchen with a dining room, my dad's bedroom, a bathroom and a backyard. On the second floor I have my room, a bathroom, my dad's office, a guest bedroom and a day room.

      Our neighbors are nice too. There's this boy and his name is Sayaki and he goes to the same school that I will start in a few days. My dad lets him come over to the house since he's the only kid my age that lives on the street, and Sayaki goes on and on about this literature club that he's in. "Oh, and Nicoli makes the best sweets! He's kind of a tsundere though."

      He has told me about the other three members; Yuki, the quiet and tallest who loves horror novels, Moka, the president who has a lot of charm, and Nicoli, the tsundere who loves to bake and read manga.

      "Say, Ruby, I have a great idea! You should join the literature club!"

      I look over at Sayaki with a look of alarm. "The new girl join a club full of guys. Do you know how many rumors will go on about me?"

      He giggled. "No one will make rumors about you. Our school has very nice people, and I'm sure once they get to know you they won't think like that. Besides, it'll be good for you to join. You'll make new friends, and with a pretty girl in our club we could finally get more members!"

     "Oh, so you only  want me to join so you can get more members?"

    "N-no that's not it!" he stammered, "It'll just be an added plus! Just think about it, ok?"

    "Ok, I'll think about it. BUT, no promises!" I giggled.

    Sayaki's phone buzzed. "Shoot, that's my mom. She said it's dinner time. It was nice hanging out with you again."

    "Same to you," I added, and with that he nodded his head and left.

     I haven't known him that long, but we already feel like best friends. He has a bubbly personality and rarely ever gets upset. Sayaki is kind to everyone, even if he doesn't know them. I'm so lucky that he's my neighbor and not some mean kid that throws rocks into our yard. 

     Today is Saturday. I'm going to start school on Monday. Goodness, it already feels so close!
