- FORTY -

Damon was pressed against the wall, Akito's arms trapping him. His face was dangerously close to his, and Akito was whispering angry, not wanting anyone to hear him.

"You never said no."

"I never said yes, either arsehole!"

Akito's greyish eyes widened in disbelief as Damon showed his teeth being as mad as him. He pulled a pocket knife and opened it pushing it against Damon's neck, wanting to scare him, but he didn't receive a reaction back.

"You liked that, Damon, don't lie to yourself."

"I was a kid, and I trusted you! I thought you knew what was good for me! Why did you do this to me!?"

Akito took the knife away, still holding it with all his strength before looking down. He closed his eyes for a split second before glared at Damon with a sadistic smile. Damon bit his bottom lip, looking at his friend. That grin didn't mean any good.

"I was so close to Jason, but he let everything to you and your stupid sister when he left! I should have inherited all this money, not you! I sacrificed my soul to him when you were just a lame excuse of a son!"

"Is this what you see me as?"

"I had to find a way to take the fortune, but your sister, being a nerd, was locked in her room all the day, so the next available choice was -"

"...Me...."

Damon's eyes were all over Akito's silhouette; he looked sad hearing his "friend" mouthing such words. Akito laughed, spinning the knife around his fingers, and started humming a melody. Damon gulped, hearing the familiar notes, his hands into fists.

"How do you know this song."

"Your mother was humming it to you when you were a baby. I've been around for more than you think, Damon."

He held him against the wall again, his free hand unbuttoning a couple of Damon's shirt buttons before going down to his crotch. Damon was frozen; he couldn't move or talk at all. His eyes felt stuck open, and suddenly he had lost all control of his body. Akito moved his lips closer to Damon's ear with a smirk and started talking with a low voice.

"I just wanted to be around you, Damon, so I'll fool you to hand over some of those sweet bills. After that night, every time you looked at me in the eyes, I could feel your heart racing. Don't lie; I knew you were in love with me."

"I-I...."

"I knew you wouldn't agree again to something like that, but... I am not going to lie to you; I wanted to touch you more."

"W-What!?"

Akito giggled as Damon's voice cracked. He found it cute but didn't tell anything. Seeing him anxious, covered in sweat while trembling, was making him really... excited.

"You probably don't remember because you were drugged, but it's fine."

"What do you mean!?"

Akito pressed the knife against Damon's neck again, with more strength. Damon was pale, unable to feel the blood that was slowly going down his neck, too. Akito was laughing like a villain, his free hand rubbing Damon's cheek.

"I've drugged you a couple of times, sometimes with rags dipped in chloroform, others with injections filled with anaesthesia. These times weren't as good as the first, but it was something. Seeing you struggle was always so hot."

Tears were streaming down his cheeks, hearing his words. The blood was now on his white shirt, making a mess, but his emotions were so strong that he hadn't understood anything yet. Akito pressed harder, receiving a hiss from the drug baron. He licked his lips, enjoying the sight.

"H-How many times d-did you...."

"Maybe four, maybe five, maybe more. God knows. I enjoyed every minute of it, though, don't worry. You were and always will be the best male I've been with, Damon Hopkins. Your arse is top-notch quality!"

Akito laughed loudly, but Damon wasn't finding the situation funny. He moved his hands around tiredly, unable to find his gun, he was losing blood, and Akito had somehow trapped him again. Akito started talking with a big smile on his lips and his white teeth showing.

"After your death, I'll make sure Deetra follows your fate along with her little boyfriend. I know some people that can create a fake will. I'll say it's your will and that I inherit everything and everyone will believe me! It's my turn to be Smiley, and I'll honour this business, unlike you. Goodbye Damon, you won't be missed. See you... in h -"

Akito was left with wide eyes; suddenly, all pressure was erased from Damon's skin. Even with half-opened eyes, Damon could see Akito coughing and choking on his own blood, a trail of it rolling down his chin and chest. Soon, he fell to the side; Damon saw the hole; he had got a bullet in the head. He closed his eyes, trying to breathe; he couldn't feel the oxygen out of a sudden. Damon lost his senses soon after; the last thing that he heard was his sister calling him, screaming for him to wake up, her hands on his shoulders shaking him.

The grass was covered in thick blood; Akito wasn't moving. He was dead, and James wasn't sorry for triggering the gun. He managed to take Damon to his bedroom, and Deetra did everything to stop the bleeding, hoping her brother wasn't dead.

James turned back to the corpse and stared at it with his hands in the pockets of his pants. He dragged it in a corner away from the mansion. James looked through Akito's jacket, soon finding his wallet. His passport was in it; he smiled before holding tightly onto it. The hitman looked through his jacket's pockets, soon finding a metallic bottle. He opened, a strong smell lingering through the air. He threw the liquid that was in it all over Akito and lit up a match. With a frown, he let it on the man, the flames covering his whole.

"Some kerosene never harmed anyone."

He spat on the burning corpse before wiping his lips with the outside of his hand and a growl.

"That's for messing up my best friend, cunt."

James was a rather friendly and polite man. He never caused any trouble to Damon or anyone. Besides the danger from his job, which was following him around. He was always there for his family and his friends, ready to strike anyone who hurt them.

Akito was a man who fueled James' dark side with bitterness and anger. Things would worsen, though, when Damon wakes up and explains that Akito touched him more than once. After finishing with the corpse, James returned to his friend's bedroom, hoping he is alright. He found Damon with closed eyes, a couple of stitches, and a gauze on the spot. He raised his eyebrow before glaring at his girlfriend, who was sitting by her brother's side.

"Did you make the stitches?"

"Yes...."

"I didn't know you could do that."

"Growing up with a nurse in a violent environment had its own good... I just hope I did it right...."

James pulled a chair beside the bed and sat down before holding his girlfriend's hand hesitantly. It was one of these rare times that Deetra was close to tears, unsure of what will happen. James wouldn't judge her; he understood why she was sad. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, trying to stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks.

"My darling, it's okay if you want to cry, everything will be alright...."

"I never cry, James."

James puffed and rolled his eyes. There were times that Deetra's attitude was helping the situation but not right now. Being emotional wasn't bad; even a grown man like James would cry if anything bad ever happened to his sister.

"Don't be stubborn right now, please!"

He saw some tears on the edge of her eyes; he moved his thumbs and wiped them away gently with a soft smile.

"I can't believe he did such terrible things to Damon under my nose! I should have known...."

"You couldn't know, Deetra. It's not your fault, my love...."

"Damon wouldn't be on the bed half-dead and traumatized if I knew it, though!"

"He would still be traumatized...."

James whispered the last part, receiving a hit on the shoulder by Deetra. He jumped back and hissed softly with a groan shutting his mouth. Maybe it wasn't the best time to joke about sensitive topics like the twin's father.

Damon opened his eyes for a split second; he growled as the pain on his neck was harsh. He moved his fingers to it, feeling the gauze's material.

"What the hell happened? I didn't die...?"

"No, idiot."

"Ugh, whyyyy...."

Deetra frowned and pinched him, Damon looking at her, angry. He sighed and tried to turn his face, his neck hurting more and more.

"I shouldn't be joking, but for real, what happened?"

"What's the last thing you remember?"

"Akito talking to me and saying that he raped more times than I remember, and then you screaming at me...."

Deetra stared at her brother with an open mouth; this time, she couldn't hold her tears back.

"What do you mean by saying "more times"?"

"He told me that there were times he drugged me and raped me...."

"... Excuse me -"

Deetra ran outside the room with her palm over her lips, trying to stop the tears from becoming more visible. James sighed, seeing his girlfriend in such a condition. He turned back to Damon, leaning on his knees.

"Where's Akito?"

"He's dead."

"Did you... take care of him?"

"His ashes are somewhere around."

James lifted Akito's wallet in the air with a smirk like it was some kind of trophy. Damon smiled and laughed before hissing.

"Hey, hey, stay in bed, gay arsehole. I can give you his wallet and passport, but I'll keep the money."

"Whatever, go ahead... I am just glad he is gone."

"I guess."

"Something tells me that his knife will leave a nasty scar behind, though."

"We will wait and see."

James stood up and glared at the door. He bit his lips, stepping closer to it; he sighed, not finding Deetra in the hallway.

"She's probably in her room...."

"She saved your life."

"You both saved my arse, as always."

"Just relax; I'll go and talk to her."

"Hey, James."

"What?"

James looked at him before closing the door behind, waiting for his response.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Saving me and being a good friend all these years."

James laughed, ready to close the door.

"Go back to sleep, Damon."

James walked down the hallway before standing outside his girlfriend's room. He could hear her sob and cry; it tore apart his heart. James knocked on the door gently two with three times, hoping she will respond.

"Y-Yes..?"

"Deetra? Can I come in?"

"Yeah...."

James walked in the room with slow steps, hoping to see her happy. Of course, he wouldn't face a smile, but he didn't want to see her cry.

Deetra was sitting on her bed, her hands on her face hiding it. She was trying to stop her sobbing but couldn't. He sat beside her and put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to his chest.

James was terrible at comforting people, especially his loved ones. He wanted to do it but couldn't at all, maybe because he was a cold heart hitman.

"He touched him again, and a-again, and I never understood him! I should have been there for my brother!

"You can be now, Deetra... Damon is so happy that we saved his arse...! Don't sweat about it, please!"

"I-I'll try... It's just... It's a hard pill to swallow."

"I know...."

James kissed her cheek, receiving a smile from her before wiping away her tears. He rubbed her shoulder softly, Deetra kissed him.

The kiss soon got heated, but James pushed her softly away with a groan.

"Deetra, your brother needs you right now, and you know it."

"My brother is fine on his own; He needs to stay in bed for a while anyway."

She sighed, standing up going to the door. James glared at her, waiting for her to open it, but instead, he heard a quiet sound. Deetra had locked the door as she turned around with a soft smirk.

"I need to take out my anger somewhere, and I can't fuck around with Damon as he is sadly injured, sooo...."

Maybe it was running in the family in the end.
