How I Figured Out Who The Batman Was

So, in the last week or so; I've written about Wally West, Nightwing, Artemis, Robin, Tim Drake, Captain Marvel, Damian, Impulse, genderbent YJ, Batman, and some more YJ but with some Star Trek. (Some of these I have yet to post.)

•Figuring Out Who The Batman Was•

Figuring out who the Batman was turned out to be an easy task. All I had to do was ask some questions and do a little research. Majoring in physiology was a huge factor into reaching my goal, but I like to think I just have a lot of charm.

The first thing I did was study Batman.

I studied his daily, erm, nightly rituals, wrote down how he treated his protégés, and his fighting techniques.

This required a lot of late nights from me, and a lot of coffee from my friends. No one seemed to question what I was doing up every night, they probably just thought I had work or something.

"Good work, Robin," Batman praised Robin as they took down the bad guys. I zoomed my telescope in on Robins face. Robin looked mildly surprised and muttered a thank you to Batman.

Batman either must not compliment Robin a whole lot, and this was a first, or Batman decided to hardly compliment anyone ever, and this was a first.

Taking another glance at Batman, I choose the second. You didn't have to be a physiologist to know that Batman wasn't the type of guy to compliment people a whole lot.

I watched as the duo ran off to wherever and something crossed my mind.

What if Robin is Batman's son?

I quickly write it down. I wanted to dismiss the idea, seeing as Batman had already had two other protégés, and one of them had even died. What kind of father would be crazy enough to let their sons continue fighting crime even after one of them had died doing exactly that (I mean, I think Robin II was killed fighting crime. What else could he really have died from?)? What kind of father would let their sons fight crime? Batman, if this idea was correct.

So the Robin I is now Nightwing. Who else could he be? Robin had to grow up eventually, and I assume he loves the taste of crime fighting. Why would he quit just because the Robin suit doesn't fit anymore? It's the most logical choice, Nightwing is bird themed like Robin, and Robin I should be in his twenties by now. Nightwing is probably in his twenties. Too much logic and facts to deny that Robin I is Nightwing.

The second Robin seemed to just disappear one day, but everyone knows he was killed. By who or by what, no one knows. I don't know too much about him, he had a short reign over Gotham, but I do know that he was just a boy. Probably in his later teens by now.

The third Robin was the shyest of them. Well, maybe not shy. Just kinda quiet. Reserved. Smart, from what I've noticed. He was somewhere in his earlier teens.

So three kids, one dead. One dad.

What about a mother? Do these kids even have a mother? But then again, are they even Batman's kids? What if they're not? What if they're just random kids he adopted into his fighting ring to help reduce crime?

Crazy, that man is.

Who were these people?

They've got to either be rich or have connections with some rich people. Batman and all his protégés have always had this super advanced tech, nothing cheap. The cars and the helicopters and the bikes must have costed millions to create. This kinda stuff isn't easy to come by, either.

Okay. Who do I know that has three kids, one dead, is super rich or has good connections, and is super hell bent on justice?

But his alter egos might not be 'super hell bent of justice'. They could just be normal people who like to beat up maniacs at night? If anything, Batman is the maniac for dressing up in a bat costume and beating up on even crazier then him people. Must have some issues.

Maybe a tragic loss, or a horrible childhood, maybe he was raped by his uncle every Sunday after church. Wow, that's a weird notion, wonder when that came from.

I went back to the tragic loss and horrible childhood thing. The main reason people go crazy is because of other people. I won't delve into this too deep, it's physiology stuff that bores most people.

So a man who has been hurt deeply, obviously crazy. Has 3 children, one dead. Is rich or has connections.

But back to the alter ego thing. They would need a pretty convincing alter ego in order for other people to not to figure out their secret identities.

Someone really small or someone really big. These people had to seem not at all convincing. No one had to ask where they go at night. This made me believe the family thing even more. If the whole family is in on this business, they wouldn't have to worry about sneaking out each night.

But this man had to be smart. He is the god damn Batman after all. And back to the wife/Mom thing. No sane woman would ever let a man run around at night wearing a bat costume. Unless they were crazy too, so that's a possibility.

Smart, rich (or has connections), either very important, or very small, crazy, childhood trauma maybe. Loss. Crazy girlfriend? Three kids, one dead.

These people are all highly trained. There is no way they just picked up these skills one day. Training and hardcore practice. A lot. So Batman was the first, how'd he get his fighting ability? Trained by a sensei? Karate classes when he was younger?

My mind seemed blank. I have all the clues, right here in front of me. And yet, I can't think of a name.

"Oh Batman, you'll be the death of me," I murmured as I got up and stretched. Time to take a break.

I walked to the kitchen and poured a cup of desired drink. I sat down and turned on the tv. It was the news, and I was about to change it when I heard a name.

They were talking about Bruce Wayne, like they always are. Bruce Wayne.

Smart. Check. Rich. Check.

I started to get excited. I was actually getting somewhere.

Childhood trauma. Check. Three kids?

"Dick, Jason, and Tim!" My voiced raised an octave as I got happy. I think I've cracked it.

One dead? Reluctant check.

Now that I think about it, Bruce Wayne did disappear for like 5 years. He could have easily picked up ninja skills while away.

Everything added up, and I felt my cheeks burning. It was so obvious. Ands that's why it was great. No one would suspect the wealthy snobs of Bruce Wayne and company. At least, they sure acted that way sometimes.

Batman was magnificent. Bruce Wayne was brilliant. I am very stupid.

I closed my eyes, very content. I would have to reach out to Batman another day, because I was way too tired today.

QOTD - What do you think about Ryan Potter as Tim Drake/Robin III/Red Robin? It's kinda controversial, because Ryan Potter is Japanese/Caucasian. So you can see where people would go wrong. Tim Drake is obviously not Japanese or Caucasian. But then again, they casted the Wests' as black peeps in the tv show Flash. Plus, Marvel hired a black guy for a role in Spider-man: Homecoming. (I don't know the full story to this one.) Potter is known for his material arts skill, he knows White Tiger kung fu, which would be great for someone to play the role of Tim Drake. But after doing a bit of research, Potter seems to only be interested in the role because it's a potential money maker. He clearly is only there because he's basically a ninja and he's of the right age. Plus, Tim would be the next BatBoy in the DCEU. We already know that Jason died and came back, so Dick is Nightwing. That means it's Tim's time to shine... Potter called Nightwing, get this, NightHawk. Which is a totally different comic book character! Ryan Potter is absolutely nothing like Tim Drake personality wise. But I don't know, maybe he has some secret potential stored away somewhere. But, if anyone wants my opinion, keep Potter out of the DC scene. I want a kid who is super passionate about DC comics and about Tim Drake. I want someone who isn't there for the money, because God knows DCEU needs that right now. We need some good acting and some better god damn directors. (Anyways, stay with Disney, Potter.)

Gotta protect my baby Tim 🤗 He deserves better.

*thank you to my commenter for pointing out how much a little jerk I was being here. I'm going to just delete what I had here before but I said some rude things about "not all black people are African Americans".. (and I said some other crap.) I won't deny I said some dumb crap but I don't want to keep those comments up just in case they still seem degrading.

Honestly, I wrote this book so long ago I'm surprised about the naive words I wrote back then. Little dumb author-chan thinkin she's all smart 🙄. I'm not trying to erase anything, I just want to fix my mistake. Well, continue fixing my mistakes and making me a better person, pls 🙌🏼☺️

This might seem a tad extreme for a few words I said long ago, but it's definitely needed. Stay educated kids. If none of this makes sense to you, just continue reading, k?

should I cry or laugh? I'll go change this now. 😭
