Red Hood

Beginnings: Part 4

Disney World.

Through a outrageous series of events, you somehow ended up in Disney World.

The helicopter took you and your group to the Louisiana border, where you abandoned it and made your way to Florida.

Deadshot's plan was to leave the states and wait for the heat to die down.

It would take time for Deadshot to pull the necessary strings to get out of the states unnoticed.

Upon learning that Disney World wasn't far from the safe house, Harley begged you and Deadshot to go, and on the third consecutive day of begging, you both relented, though going to the park ran a risk of getting caught by the authorities.

You and Deadshot tried to disguise yourselves as common tourists, and you would be inconspicuous, if not for Harley's choice of clothing.

Harley thought it appropriate to wear short shorts and a tank top, along with a summer hat.

Upon arriving at the park, every man had his eyes on Harley, along with every woman's scowl.

And to add to your predicament, she was on your arm the whole time, which made you feel nervous, and somewhat proud.

You had never been to Disney World before, the Main Street walkway showcased the shear size of the park.

In a way, the park was a ambitious achievement, all built by a ordinary man in a world of superheroes, it was proof that everyday people are capable of extraordinary things.

Though after the incident on the helicopter, you didn't feel normal.

Your deep train of thought was interrupted by Deadshot hitting you on the shoulder.

Deadshot: Hey, Harley wants to go on the Haunted Mansion, you coming?

X: Yeah.

As you walked with your group to the ghostly attraction, you didn't know that you were being watched by a figure on the rooftops.

Figure: This is R Team, targets are going to the Haunted Mansion, moving in to engage, advise evacuation to minimize collateral damage.

The line to the mansion was pretty long, but luckily you had your phone for your entertainment.

You opened your phone, and saw that Harley had given you a "erotic" new screensaver.

X: Uh, Harley?

Harley: Yeah?

You showed her your phone, and she blushed slightly.

Harley: I thought I would give you something to look at.

X: Um, thanks.

Harley gave you a warm smile followed by a hug.

When Harley turned to gaze at the haunting visage of the ride, Deadshot came to your side.

Deadshot: Looks like she likes you.

X: Yeah, but I barely know her.

Deadshot: Must be something about you, something no one else can see.

Deadshot's words caused you to think for a minute.

The inside of the ride was unsurprisingly dark and cold, fitting of a ghost themed ride.

Your group eventually came in view of the cars that would carry them through the attraction.

Your curiosity regarding Harley's attraction towards you caused you to ask her.

X: Hey, Harley?

Harley: Yeah?

X: I don't mean to sound insensitive, but why do you like me so much?

Harley looked down with a unsure expression.

Harley: My luck with guys is pretty bad, most just want to bang and go, and then there's you. You could have just left me and Deadshot and escaped, but you risked life and limb to help someone you didn't even know.

Harley's attraction to you began to make more sense.

Harley: The last guy I was with was sick, he hurt people for no reason, he was a villain, and you...

X: Me what?

Harley looked at you with innocent eyes.

Harley: Your like a hero.

Harley's words hit a soft spot, one you didn't know you had.

You held Harley by the waist.

X: I guess I'm your hero.

Harley gave you a warm smile, and laid her head on your shoulder.

You were just moments away from riding the haunted ride.

You looked to check on Deadshot, and saw him in a deep state of thought.

X: You ok Floyd?

Deadshot: Yeah, just got some things on my mind.

X: Wanna talk about it.

Deadshot hesitated, but figured he owed you for your aid in escaping Belle Reve.

Deadshot: I got a daughter, I'm just thinking of how I'm gonna get back to her.

X: Where is she?

Deadshot: Gotham, I can't go see her now, that's the first place the cops will look for me.

You put your hand on Deadshot's shoulder.

X: Hey, look, we're a team now, you, me, and Harley, I will help you see your daughter.

A cocky smile came over Deadshot's face.

Deadshot: Then I'll help you see Rox.

Rox, you hadn't thought of her since you escaped, you hoped she was ok.

Harley: Our turn!

You noticed that your car had arrived to take you through the mansion.

You and your group took your seats on the three person car, and set off into the ride.

The mansion was dark and a bit creepy, but mostly funny, as could be expected from a Disney ride.

The ride reached the attic, where the hologram of a bloody bride stood with a axe

Hologram: To death do "you" part.

Harley: How romantic!

Deadshot: That's a word for it.

The best part of the ride was saved for last, the cars turned to a set of mirrors and revealed that a joyful specter had joined the ride.

Deadshot: Heh, would you look at that.

Then, without warning, the ride stopped, and the lights went out.

The ride was later illuminated by the back up lights.

X: What happened?

Deadshot; I don't know, but they should have called for us to remain in our seats.

Harley: It's dark!

Deadshot: Great observation Harley.

You and your group left the ride and proceeded through the graveyard section, where a emergency exit was located.

The graveyard was only lit by blue and green atmospheric lights.

After a bit of searching, your group found the emergency exit.

X: There it is, now le-

You were cut of by a bullet striking a tombstone next to you.

X: What the hell was that!?

Deadshot: Sniper!

Harley: Guy with a gun!

The darkness of the room made it hard for Deadshot to find the sniper, but his red dot sight gave him away.

With pinpoint precision, Deadshot fired at the sniper, killing him.

Deadshot: Hurry! To the exit!

You followed both Deadshot and Harley to the exit, but was cut off from them when a grappling hook pulled you back.

You saw the emergency exit close, cutting you off from Deadshot and Harley.

Man: So your the legendary X, you don't live up to your legend.

You looked up to see a man in a red hood standing over you.

With the agility of a tiger, you kicked Red Hood's legs from under him.

As quickly as he had fallen, Red Hood jumped back up, and exchanged punches with you.

Red Hood kicked you in the chest, sending you flying through a tombstone.

Red Hood pulled a pistol from his holster, and aimed it at your chest.

Red Hood: Goodnight X.

The energy you had felt in the helicopter returned, and with a powerful blast, sent Red Hood flying through the roof.

Not wishing to stay for Red Hood's return, you quickly got up and went through the emergency door.

You met back up with the group, who was amazed at the powers you had.

The three of you quickly left the park.

Timeskip: night
Red Hood was treating his wounds when a black caped man approached him

Man: I told you not to underestimate him.

Red Hood: Well pardon me! I wasn't expecting him to send me flying!

Man: Fate was right, he is getting stronger by the day, we need to catch him.

Red Hood: And how are we going to do that?

Man: we're not.

The man opened a communicator on his arm.

Batman: Alfred, time for plan B, set the bounty on X to one million.

Alfred: Right away sir.
