When Edward opened his eyes, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar place. It looked like some kind of office, the kind the head of a company would have. And sitting in a chair, whose back seems to be made of leather, there was a man, apparently in his early 30s.

Man: Hello Edward.

Edward: Who are you? And how do you know my name?

Chaos: I have many names. But the most common is Chaos.

Edward: Wait a sec! If you really are Chaos, and I'm here. You mean I died?

Chaos: Unfortunately, yes.

It was then that he remembered what happened.

Edward: That's right. Two armed men broke into my school, I knocked and disarmed one, but the second shot me. And what happened to them?

Chaos: They're already trapped. Thanks to you.

Edward: It's good to know they won't hurt anyone anymore. But and now? What do I do now?

Chaos: That's why I brought you here. I would like to offer you a second chance at life. But if you don't want to, you can just leave for the afterlife.

Chaos: Well then. If you decide to accept my offer, you will go to one of the worlds created by a friend of mine. You might know him as "The Presence".

This surprised Edward quite a bit.

Edward: Wait a minute. Are you telling me you're going to send me to the DC universe?

???: Exactly.

Whoever said that was a man of apparent advanced age, with an umbrella in his left hand and a sphere of light in his right, which appeared out of nowhere behind Edward, startling him.

The Presence: Forgive me for that, young man.

Edward: I thought I was going to die of fright. If I wasn't already dead, of course.

This made the three of them chuckle. After they calmed down a bit, God resumed the matter at hand.

Chaos: Well done, young Edward. Do you accept my offer?

Edward: Of course I do. Not even dead would I turn down an offer like that.

And again the three laughed.

Chaos: Very well. And as a gift, I'll give you something that will help you become a hero. And I believe you will love it.

Then a light surged around Edward's body. And when she disappeared, Edward could hardly believe what he was seeing.

His arms were now prosthetic. Like those of Edward Elric.

Edward: *Bewildered* Those... Those are...

Chaos: Prosthetics? Yes, and you have it on your legs too. But these are much better than the originals. I also took advantage and gave him an RPG System as well. Along with some goodies. But that you can see later.

Edward: Thank you very much.

Chaos: You're welcome.

The Presence: And then, young man. Is ready?

Edward: I am. I just hope I don't screw up too much.

Chaos: Don't worry. You'll be fine. I know that.

Edward: Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Edward then took a deep breath to calm himself and said.

Edward: Very well. I'm ready.

Then a strong light enveloped Edward's body. And when she disappeared, he was gone too. Just like The Presence.
