The Batcave was decorated with streamers and strings of light. Stephanie and Dick had spent all day helping Alfred set up. Everyone was there; Dick, Jason, Tim, Kelly, Stephanie, Barbara, You, and Damian. Bruce sat in a coner watching the scene. Jason and Damian also sat in opposite corners sulking. Barbara and Kelly were discussing being batgirl. Tim and Stephanie were both sitting at a table playing chess. You and Dick both were trying to one up each other on the parallel bars.

"Oh, come on Dick, you can do better than that." You taunted from the sideline.

"You think you could do better, (y/n)?" he asked as he landed back on the ground.

"I know I can." You said.

You swagger over to the bars and jump up. You do a complicated routine of flips, turns and switches. You finish and stick the landing. Dick stood with his lips pursed.

"So, what did you think?" You ask.

He looks at you with seemingly angry eyes.

"That. Was. AMAZING!" He yells, his frown quickly changing to a smile.

You give him a big hug. He always made you feel like you were the coolest person ever.

"Guys! Its the New Year ball drop!" Barbara calls.

The countdown begins and everything buzzes with excitement.

"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3..2.....1!!!!!"

"Happy New Year! "

Dick surprises you and pulls you into a kiss.

"Happy New Year, (y/n)." He says as you pull apart.

"Happy New Year. " You say back.
