SECRETS : B . A

BARRY ALLEN WAS IN LOVE and everyone could see it. The problem was not with him. It was rather with the girl he loved: you. You did not dared to go into a relationship with him. Specially, since you were coming off from a previous one which did not go so well after all. The man you previously dated had cheated on you. However, your actions towards that made you proud. As soon as you saw the man cheating on you, you threw all of his stuff off the window and kicked him out of the apartment you two shared.

You were sitting in the park, reading about the news of Gotham. A place you wanted to go to just for the sake of meeting the Bats there. Barry, who was in his Flash costume, stopped right on his tracks when he saw you seating there.

As you flipped the page, you noticed the bright red shoes that were in front of you. You looked up to him, frowning at the sight of him. "Umm, how may I help you?" You asked, not knowing who was under the mask. "Halloween isn't here yet." You quickly added, confused on why a man would wear the costume of Central City's hero in the park.

Barry looked at you, who returned to look at the newspaper. "I know it isn't Halloween, but I have this job which involves saving lives." Barry told you.

You looked at him with an amused look. "That's the Flash's job, not yours." You told him, not turning yours eyes away from the paper.

Barry sighed, looking over his shoulder at the people walking by who were looking at the scene. "I'm the Flash." He sighed.

"Why the Flash will just stop by to talk to a citizens when it doesn't involve saving them, and making sure they are alright?" You asked him, looking up to him. You did not buy his previous statement.

Barry froze, not able to come up with words. He took one last look at you before running off. Your eyes widen, as the your hair hit your face. You looked in front of your, noticing that the man was gone. You quickly came into realization of who the man truly was.

A small boy who was on his tricycle frowned at you. "You made him angry." The boy said before running off.

You stood up from the seat, looking around you. You sighed, putting the newspaper in your bag before walking off to the nearest coffee shop.

As you opened the door for it, you noticed the tv showing some news. The barista in front of you, looked at the tv and then back at you. "Yeah, The Flash saved twenty people today from a burning building."  He said to you.

You turned your eyes to the barista. "Yeah, he is fast." You told him before taking your order. You thanked the man while waiting for your coffee.

. . .  . . .

Barry stopped inside Star Labs, sighing as he walked to Cisco. Cisco looked up from the computers. "Why did you stopped in the middle of the part of the way back? Cat stuck in a tree?" Cisco asked him, looking up to Barry from where he was seating.

Barry nodded, not looking at his face. He knew that wasn't the case. "Yeah, umm a cat got stuck in the tree." Barry told him, before running off to change his clothe.

When he came back Cisco had stood up, pointing at him. "You are lying. You are doing that thing you do when you lie. You hesitate before answering and you don't look people in the eye." Cisco told Barry.

"Nothing happened. Just took a time to breath." Barry answered him.

"Yeah, as if you get tired by running around." Cisco scoffed, returning his eyes to the computer. He then smirked, looking at Barry through the top of the computers. "No, trying to impress someone?" Cisco answered him.

Barry look at him in surprise. "You know, there are cameras. It is really amusing that you thought that at broad daylight noody would recognize you." Cisco told Barry.

Barry sighed. "You will be surprised that there are people who don't." Barry told him, smiling at the memory of Y/N at the part.

"Oh really, by the looks of it. She was no impressed." Cisco told Barry. Barry shrugged. Cisco chuckled looking down at the computer. "She didn't took the suit seriously or what? Who wouldn't take seriously my suit?" Cisco asked him.

"Actually, she didn't believed I was the Flash." Barry replied.

"You told her!" Cisco asked, raising his voice. "Dude, I know you love her. You are trying to impress her in any way possible but reviling your identity isn't worth of it." Cisco told Barry.

. . . . . .

You sat quietly on your desk as you typed on your computer. A tap on the wall next to you made you jump. You looked over your shoulder, noticing your co-worker. She dropped a set of flowers on top of the desk in front of you. "From a secret admirer?" She asked.

You opened the card in the flowers, amazed by the sight of it. You thought it might have been from your ex, but no. It belonged to a man far more better than him. You looked over your shoulder, but the co-worker was gone. You sat down on your desk, reading the small card.

'to the girl who was loved Gotham'

You switched to the back, reading the one who set it. You smiled when you read who it belonged to.

'the man with the red suit who know it isn't Halloween'

You looked between the flowers and the car, wondering why the city's hero will be sending you flowers.

. . . . . .

After a long hour of search, you were finally able to track down the steps of The Flash. You wanted to find him. You were dying to know why he had send you flowers and ran off without saying the reason behind him stopping in front of you. You knew it was not crime committed because you had never done anything criminal in your entire life.

Your cellphone rang, signaling an incoming call from someone. You left the red marked on the top of the coffee table before reaching for your phone. "Hello?" You asked, answering the call.

"Hi, Y/N. It's me, Barry Allen." You heard Barry Allen say through your phone. The two of you had briefly med while you were covering a small murder in Central City. The two of you had gone to the bar once, and to the cinema twice with his friends.

"Hi, Barry. How is it going?" You asked him, going back to your research. You were able to trace back the steps of the Flash. You forgot the words coming out of Barry's mouth as you looked at the map. You circled a diagram around the radius that the flash was last see.

"Y/N, are you still there?" Barry asked you.

"Umm, yeah. Sorry, I didn't heard what you said." You told Barry.

"I was wondering if you wanted to...to go on a date with me." Barry asked you. You froze at the question. "I know that your last relationship didn't went that well, and that you had said that you were not ready to go out into the world...but I was wondering that isn't the case right now. I mean if you aren't that-" Barry said to you, but you cut him off.

"Okay." You told him.

"What?" Barry asked you.

"Yeah, I will go out with you." You told him. "Who knows, maybe this will work out this time around." You told Barry.

. . . . . .

The date was a success. As a result of it, you and Barry started to go out more often. Weeks turned into months and months turned into a year. Two weeks ago, had received a set of flowers at your work place. At first you thought it was from your boyfriend. It wasn't. It belonged to the mask hero whose symbol was a lightning bolt.

What you didn't knew is that Barry had found out your interest in Flash one night after he had stayed over. He had found the map that you had drawn on after he dropped his waller under the couch. He was curious to know if you were looking for Flash, and the extent of your interest on him. He did not known that your interest was just curiosity.

Now, you stood in your apartment waiting for Barry to arrive. A small knock was heard. You walked to the door. "Bar, I made-" You started, but was cut off by the sight of the Flash. Your eyes widen, looking down the hall before closing the door to his face. You stood there in shock, wondering why a superhero will be stocking you. Another knock was heard. You opened the door again. "You aren't Barry." You stated, looking at him. You looked down the hall. "Come on in before someone sees you." You told him before closing the door behind him. "You can't come and go on knocking people's door. It is also very dangerous." You told him, taking a few steps away from him.

"Why?" The Flash asked you.

"Because weird people are going to come and ask for you and I will be there like 'yeah, he isn't here. I'm just here with my boyfriend." You told him. Barry looked at you from under his mask, smiling lightly at your words. "Why are you sending me flowers. That's a very kind thought but I'm dating someone."

"I knew you were looking for me." Barry told you.

"You what?" You asked him.

"You were looking for me. The map under the couch."

"You are a freak! You entered my apartment! How the hell did you do that!" You exclaimed, your eyes widen at his words.

"I'm not a freak....the part of me entering your apartment is t-true. Although it is not what you think." The Flash said to you coming closer.

"Look, you save people but that doesn't give you the tittle to come into my apartment without asking, or even entering it at all." You told him, putting your arms over your chest.

Barry sighed. "This isn't going as I expected." Barry sighed. "I entered your apartment before because I'm your boyfriend." Barry said to you.

You let out sarcastic laugh. "No you aren't. My boyfriend is Barry Allen." You told him.

Barry smirked at you. "You are." He said to you before taking off his mask. Your eyes widen, looking at the face in front of you. You opened your mouth but nothing came out.

"I'm...your...girlfriend." You told slowly. "Okay, how? Are you really?" You asked him. Barry ran off and returned to your with a glass of water in a matter of a second. You took a step back. "Wait...how did...you knew about the map?" You asked him.

"I found it when I dropped something. I just was curious to know why you were interested in the Flash." Barry said to you.

"You thought I had eyes for the two of you." You told him, rolling her at him. "I was curious to know why he had been sending me flowers and stopped to talk to me. That was all the interest." You told him, coming closer to him. You brushed the hair off his face. "I...I'm just shocked to know that I have dating a superhero." You told him.

"A very fast one." Barry said to me. "You-" He started, but you cut him off.

"I'm happy, not mad. Shocked but happy." You told him. Barry smiled at you before leading down to kiss you. You kissed him back, putting your arms around him.
