Headcanon that after the war the twins were briefly taken

It was to "make sure they weren't poisoned by toxic beliefs" since they were going to be governments
It was only for a few weeks and done by mostly northerner states/the United States government

They stayed with their cousin Gov and it was a culture shock compared to the prairie/simple farm life they were used to

It was hell for Georgia and Kentucky. Georgia cursed his politicians and wished they'd just listened, cursed himself for not doing more. Kentucky literally would write everyday asking (it was more of a demand) when they were coming home.
