Maybe instead of a 'yes box' or basket, it's made abundantly clear the cabinets aren't locked and there's nothing holding DC back from going out and getting food

Like I imagine there's times DC does chose to get a snack and he checks to see if the cabinets aren't locked

Florida using his chaotic powers for good to get DC to take breaks during the day

Sometimes DC sleeps during those breaks and no one has the heart to wake him up 

They thought DC's food trauma was worse because at least once a week he'd throw up, but they soon find out the problem is he rushes to eat his food like someone is gonna catch him eating 

DC and Gov were definitely in a rough spot mentally after January 6th

All DC can think about is how if he didn't take that break if he didn't eat then he could've reigned in the president and stopped this

Gov curses that he didn't have time to do one of his rituals before they went in, and that's why the insurrection happened
