Titles That I Picked Up This Week:
Adventures of the SuperSons #2
The SuperSons return in another joyful issue. Boy it feels good to say that. SuperSons is the light shining in an otherwise grim universe. Seriously, what happened? Why is everything so grim and so damn depressing right now? Everything outside of SuperSons has gone dark and edgy. What's up with that!? Anyways, this is another wonderful issue and I feel like it's the only thing that's bringing me joy every month that I read it. So be sure to do yourselves all a favor and support this book.
Batman #54
Ok so Tom King continues his Batman run with a stand-alone Issue. After reading this one I got to say that I enjoyed it. It was simple but effective. Sure it has its faults. But, overall it was nice to see Bruce and Dick interact from when they first met until now. I'm still disappointed that he's 54 issues into this run and we don't have a Batman and Robin storyline. However, that may change based on the fact that tom king favorited my tweet. So there's hope.
Deathstroke #35
It's over! It's finally over! I can rest easy now. They didn't change his lineage and it was all just Talia manipulating everyone the whole time. It puts me at ease.
Like most of priest's storylines everything comes together in a super complicated manor. But, whatever. I don't care anymore. Damian is Bruce's son and that's all that matters. This storyline is done and I never have to revisit it again. No more questioning Damian's lineage ever again. This puts it all to bed once and for all so I can finally just move on.
Green Arrow #44:
In this issue Oliver continues doing battle with a villain known as the citizen. We also learn a bit of tragic thing that happened in Ollie's past that he feels guilty over. Which should be an interesting piece of information that carries out throughout the rest of this run. Also, there's a bit of setup for heroes in crisis at the end there. So yeah.. there's that. Anyways, I thought the issue was fine. A little better than the last one. I'd say check it out.
Justice League #7:
Ok so Justice League #7. I'm confused. Now, I've read a lot of DC stuff. But, there's just too much stuff going on and I can't keep up with it. The focus is all over the place. I feel like I'm reading a foreign language that I don't under and it's confusing to me. Although I will say this. I love the final page of this issue because it brings back one of my favorite characters from Metal and that's all I have to say.
Nightwing #48:
Ok... so Nightwing goes Death Race/mad max fury road in this one in order to save someone. You know what I don't know what to think of this one. I feel more confused than anything else. That's really all that I will say. I know that's kind of vague. But, that's all I can really say.
Well that's it for this week's issues. I hope you all enjoyed reading this. It was kind of a crazy week. My biggest recommendation is Super Sons (of course) but other than that I'll let you decide. Mwahahahaah. Anyways be sure to let me know in the comments below what you thought of this week's issues where we can continue to discuss this further and as always thank you all for reading this and I hope you all have a Wonderful day!
