Titles Released 9-12-2018 Jason Todd Goes Super Violent Again
Hello everyone and welcome back to another chapter in my DC Comics Discussion Page. It feels good to be back to talking about comic books again. I got 5 issues to go through that I picked up this week so let's all get ready to dive in. Also, this week's issue of Superman will determine if I decide to stay on the title or not. It's all up in the air. (Hint I'm losing my patience with this series).

Catwoman #3
Detective Comics #988
Hawkman #4
Plastic Man #4
Red Hood and the Outlaws #26
Scooby Apocalypse #29
Sideways #8
Suicide Squad #46
Supergirl #22
Superman #3
The Flash #54
The Immortal Men #6
Titans #25
Wild Storm: Michael Cray #11
Wonder Woman #54
Titles That I Picked Up This Week:
Catwoman #3
Ok so Catwoman Issue 3. Im going to admit. I completely forgot most of what happened in the previous issues. I probably should have reread those before I read this one. Lol. It goes to show you how much interest I still have in this story. But, anyways with this issue the only thing that really stood out to me was the moment was the lady poisoning children. It was really messed up and was straight out of the 6th sense. Anyways, I think before the next issue I'll go back and reread each one that way I don't seem so clueless lol.
Detective Comics #988:
At least detective Comics is good. This storyline just looks to be Batman out on one of his cases and I appreciate that. No real major story arc tie ins (with the exception of Bruce still feeling the effects of Selina). I also love this panel that includes various Batmobiles from the movies. We see the Burton batmobile, the Tumbler from the Nolan trilogy, and the Joel Schumacher batmobile.
My only real problem with this book Is that when Alfred mentions sending help for Batman he only mentions the signal (Duke) and Babs. He doesn't even mention Damian, or Cass to help. Does Robin just not exist anymore in detective comics or Batman? Can we just get a Batman and Robin storyline already!?
Anyways, that's really my only major complaint and it's not necessarily this writers fault but more of an overall dc comics problem at the moment. Overall, I'd say this is the start of a good arc to pick up.
Red Hood and the Outlaws #26:
The hardcore/violent/murdering Jason Todd is back in full force. I'm very torn on this. On the one hand I love the badass version of red hood who put his enemies down permanently. On the other hand it feels like he regressed after bettering himself with the help of Bizzaro and Artemis. Part of me loves it and the other is upset. But, I guess I'll enjoy the fact that we have the badass red hood back.
Superman #3:
I just don't know anymore. Why does Bendis have to take over every Superman book? Also, we still have not been given any real good reason at to why Rogol-Zaar does things the way he does. The explanation for the earth in the phantom zone is pretty dumb and also the cover for this issue is incredibly misleading because Superman doesn't even fight Rogol in this issue. The only positives I'll give to this book are that the art is nice and there was maybe one joke I laughed at. I'm just not really interested in what's going on here. I really miss Jurgens and Tomasi writing Superman.
Titans #25
This was a rather large issue and for the most part I enjoyed it. There's a lot of crazy technobabble that goes on in the issue and once again we have to see more crap with the source wall causing all these changes. (I'm tired of source wall stuff at this point). The most fun part of this issue was when Nightwing and Miss Martian get sucked into TV land and start acting like the characters in the worlds they occupy. That was neat. Also, this issue teases things to come. Like the inevitable showdown between Dick and Damian's teams and based on the way Lobdell made Batman act towards Jason. I have a bad feeling about how Damian and Dick are going to be when Nightwing confronts Damian. (Also, I heard that Lobdell is taking over on Nightwing after issue 50). So he's going to be writing Red Hood, Nightwing, and Titans. That's too much and it has me a little concerned how he's going to handle everyone of those titles. But, I'll give it a shot. I just hope that when these two titans teams collide it's not like Jason and Batman's falling out because I will be pissed. Anyways, Other than that I still think this issue is worth checking out.
Anyways, that's going to wrap it up for this week's issues. It took me a few days to get through them all and have time to write a proper response. Anyways, be sure to let me know in the comments below what you think about the issues that came out this week. Are you happy with this direction in DC comics or are you upset? Post your thoughts and as always thank you all so much for reading this and I hope you all have a Wonderful day!
