Batman #78:
Batman 78 was pure trash. (Aside from the artwork which was nice). I can't believe this issue could go to print in this format. The dialogue is almost nothing but one-word sentences. When is the last time they called each other by their real names instead of just "Bat" and "Cat"? Bruce and Selina go on vacation together while Gotham has been taking over, Damian was kidnapped, and Alfred was just killed. There's no sense of urgency to them getting back to Gotham at all. The moment he woke up he should have been on the phone calling up the Justice league for help. The fact that he hasn't is ridiculous. Instead Bruce is busy looking like Magnum PI with his mustache and fooling around with Selina. I don't feel like I'm reading Batman anymore. I feel like I am reading some sort of awful fan fiction version of him and not a good one. He even mutters the words "Cat, I'm not fine. Everything's not fine. My world is dust. Without you" Are you kidding me? Wow! Way to throw shade at the rest of the Batfamily Bruce. You fucking asshole! Tom King's Batman is an embarrassment and a undefendable. He mopes around like a crybaby, he is an irresponsible parent, and he punches his kids for no reason. Remember when he punched Tim? Yeah that happened and it was despicable. I don't want to follow this Batman. He's an embarrassment and I'm just so sick and tired of this awful run and I can't wait for it to finally end. This run has made me dislike Batcat. I used to love Batcat but this run left a sour taste in my mouth and I don't want to see it again. At least not for a long time. There is only a few issues left in this book and I cant wait until a new creative team comes in and ignore this run.

Detective Comics #1011:
Thank you, Detective Comics. Thank you. Thank You. Thank you for giving me Batman. Not some asshole Batman like in Tom King's current Batman run. You're an actual hero. Seriously, though Detective comics is fantastic right now. We get some fun storylines that feel like classic Batman. He's focused on the mission. He isn't moping around like a crybaby. He isn't punching his kids; he is busy being my favorite superhero. Do yourself a favor and check this run out. Support this book.

Anyways, that is going to wrap it up for this update. I know I have been kind of slow in updating this book. But I have been busy working on catching up with everything else. So many books in my backlog that I need to read lol. I'll catch up one of these days. I'm almost there though. Anyways, what are your thoughts on the issues for this update? Please let me know because I don't seem to be getting any comments on these updates and that's kind of a bummer. I get plenty of reads. Just no comments.
