Titles That I Picked Up This Week:

Action Comics # 1001
This was a pretty meh issue. I wish Lois and Jon were here. This issue involved Superman looking more into who has been setting fires all across metropolis and we get an answer and I could care less. I'm kind of tired of mopey Superman right now. I loved Superman at the start of Rebirth. But, this has been a real downer so far. Oh well. That's just me I guess.

Detective Comics #985
I'm really enjoying this detective Comics arc right now. The artwork is nice. The writing is solid. It even gives me a rocky 4 type montage (no easy way out style). Any comic that does that gets bonus points from me. Anyways, I can't wait for what's coming up next. It should be pretty good.

Doomsday Clock #6
(See Doomsday Clock #6 Discussion))

Justice League Dark #1
Now it's time for the Justice League Dark. I have to admit that My knowledge about the Justice League Dark stuff isn't as big as I would have hoped. However, with that being said I was very curious about the direction that they were going in with this new series. I still liked the issue. But like I said. Since I'm less familiar with the JL Dark Ccomics. But, I have a feeling that if I was more familia with it that I would have enjoyed the issue more.

Teen Titans #20
And now on to the big issue of the week. At least the most important to me. Teen Titans Issue #20. So far this month's issue we get a follow up to that very divisive special that had Left me both excited and kind of enraged by the fact that Damian Wayne seemingly went back to being a killer. However, we learn that he actually didn't kill black mask but instead he brought him and a bunch of other super criminals into his own secret prison. (In a very cruel way mind you. But, at least they aren't dead. So the writer didn't completely erase all of his character development. Anyways, In this issue we get to meet the new team. There's Robin (Damian Wayne), Red Arrow (Emiko Queen), Kid Flash 2, then our new characters Crush (who is the daughter of Lobo), roundhouse (the human wrecking ball), and Djinn. Now, roundhouse is prolly my least favorite so far because his design isn't very good and not to mention he feels like just a stand in for beast Boy. I hope they don't stick with that. Because that would be dumb. Next is Crush who was the character I was originally the most excited about. However, she didn't leave the biggest impact like I would have hoped. But, then again this is the first issue with this new team. So let's see where we go from here. Then lastly there is Djinn, aka the Raven type character of the team. The cover says that she is a 4,000 year old Genie. Which doesn't make her a teenager. But, an adult. So I'm sorry but, she shouldn't be on the Teen Titans if she is 4,000 years old;. That's just creepy and weird. I also read that instead of the Damiko stuff I have been kind of hoping for they make it seem like Damian is going to have a thing with her....

Is this DC's way of giving us Damirae? Without it actually being Raven? I don't know. The 4000 year old thing is really making it seem uncomfortable and weird to me if they set these two up. If she was an actual teenager I'd say go ahead I don't care. But, since she's an adult I say no.

As far as this issue goes it set up some neat mysteries and a good team dynamic. You quickly learn everyone's place on the team. Damian even explains that Emiko is going to lead this team if he goes down.

Overall, I still liked this issue. Even if I have my gripes with it. I really do wish that they would have also done a better job explaining how the previous team fell apart. Oh well I guess they're trying to make us forget about the previous Teen Titans.

Anyways, so those are this week's issues. What did you all think about them? Did you like or dislike them? Let me know in the comments below where we can continue to discuss them further!
