Titles I picked Up This Week:

Action Comics #1000:
Well it's arrived. I can't believe it. This is something special. 1000 issues is unheard of. It's a mile stone unlike anything in comic book history. Superman has been around for 80 years and continues to be arguably the greatest superhero of all. This issue represents a loving tribute to that character and why he matters. There are so many writers and artists involved in this issue that it's tough to name them all. But, I say if your a Superman fan then you absolutely need to own this issue. You owe it to yourself. This issue also shows a preview of what's to come in action Comics under Brian Michael Bendis. So far I haven't gotten much. But, we do see Superman getting brutalized pretty badly and it definitely grabs my attention. Hopefully his run turns out to be really good. I wish him luck. Another thing that happens in this issue is that the trunks are back. I understand that they did this because of it being issue 1000. However, I've grown used to seeing them without it. Anyways, here is hoping to another 80 years of Superman and another 1000 more issues to come for the Man of Steel .

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 #6:
This issue wraps up the crossover. Overall this wasn't as good as the first one. Bane makes a formidable threat. But, this wasn't quite as fun this time around. There's stuff I liked. For instance the Raphael and Damian dynamic was pretty good. Seeing Donnie grow was also nice. But, I just didn't feel as excited and satisfying reading this as much as the first crossover. Who knows, maybe the next one will be better. But, this is one that didn't get me quite as excited. I mean it's fine. But, not great like the first one was.

Nightwing #43:
In this issue Nightwing tries to take the day off. However, he gets calls from both Damian and Roy and has to go to Gotham City to help them out. This was a fun issue and I loved seeing the three of them all team up to fight the league of assassins. Honestly, these 3 would make a great team up book. In this issue we see how both Roy and Damian miss when Dick Grayson is around. Of course in this issue Damian and Roy get into arguments and Dick has to take on a dad role. Which is great to watch. This is a stand alone issue so if you get the chance check it out. If you like these characters you'll like this issue.

Super Sons #15:
Another great issue of super Sons. I love this book so much. It's just incredible. I don't want it to end. Like ever. Lol. Anyways, kid amazo returns and the boys have to fight him. I won't say anymore. But, I just think that everyone should be reading super Sons.

Superman #45:
The end of a run.... this issue marks the end of Gleason and Tomasi's run on Superman. This has been probably my favorite run on Superman that I've ever read. It was a sad issue seeing this run end. In this issue we saw Jon and them saying goodbye to Hamilton county. I know metropolis is where Superman should be. But, I honestly didn't want to see him go. That's just how good it's been. Also, this issue talks a lot about change and how we all have to go through it. (No doubt a metaphor for this run ending and Bendis taking over). I really hope Bendis does a good job. I really do. He's got a lot to live up to. But, I'm willing to stay hopeful.

Anyways, those are the titles that i picked up this week. Did you pick up any of these? If so what are your thoughts on them? Did you read action comics 1000!? What do you hope comes next in DC comics? I would love to hear all your thoughts. Anyways, that's all I have to say for this week. If you want to discuss more we can talk about these in the comments below! Once again thank you and have a Wonder day!
