Titles I Picked Up This Week:
Batgirl #21:
This issue was just a simple one shot where batgirl teams up with commissioner Gordon. It still amazes me that Jim has no idea that's really his daughter. I mean it seems pretty obvious. But, anyways this is just a simple little one shot that I enjoyed just fine. No need to rush out and read it but I still liked it.
Dark Knights Metal #6: (The Finale)
Ok so after several months Dark Knight Metal has come to an end. This was a crazy ass issue. I honestly can't describe what I just read. I really can't. But, what I can tell you is that it's one hell of a crazy finale and really opens the doors up for the future of the DC Universe.
Detective Comics #977:
Ok so this issue has tim drake being told of a future where Batman is at war with batwoman and it doesn't end well. We also see the birth of a new enemy on the horizon. I'm still going through reading all of detective comics since rebirth. However, part of me has felt the length of this Batman and Batwoman military storyline with her dad. I feel like it's been going on forever and I just want to kind of move on from that. But, if you're still interested in this stuff then continue reading.
Doomsday Clock #4:
(See Doomsday Clock #4 Discussion). (Coming soon).
Raven Daughter of Darkness #3:
Ok this is the 3rd part of this raven centered mini series! This issue shows raven battling someone and then we see her travel through time and then back to the present and it's kind of all over the place. I think I liked the first 2 issues more in this storyline but I think the ending is kind of neat for who makes a return in this. Not much else to say but I'm going to give this thing a chance and see where it goes from here.
Teen Titans #18:
This issue continues off the events of lasts months issue where Beast Boy was put under mind control. It was a fun little issue and we got to see some neat detective work along with some nice artwork. I still don't like the idea of Raven and Kid Flash being a couple. It feels off to me. Also, in terms of the main DCU I don't know if Damirae will actually happen sadly. Oh well.... I think the part I laughed the most was Robin's fashion sense in this issue. Here take a look.
(He's been hanging around Dick Grayson too much and apparently inherited his sense of fashion). Anyways, I still enjoyed this issue and I look forward to how the next arc is going to end.
Also, I wanted to mention that I'm all caught up reading all of Deathstroke rebirth. It took me awhile but, I finally managed to catch back up just in time for that issue next week that has me nervous.....
Anyways, what did you all think of this week's titles? Did you like or dislike them? Are you satisfied with the ending of Dark Knights Metal #6? What do you think of Doomsday Clock? Let me know in the comments below and we will continue to discuss everything going on in DC Comics!
