Titles That I Picked Up This Week:
Batman Annual #3:
This was probably the best issue in this entire run. Funny enough it wasn't written by Tom King. But, instead it was by Tom Taylor. It's a stand-alone issue that's focused almost entirely on Alfred and shows how important he is to the Batfamily. It's well worth your time to read it.

Detective Comics #994:
This issue is the beginning of the Tomasi run on Detective Comics and I couldn't be anymore excited. This issue lays the groundwork for what's to come as we begin the road to issue 1000! I'm not going to give much away because I think you should just go and read this. It's much better than the other Batman book by king.

New Talent Showcase 2018 #1:
The whole reason I bough this issue was for the Damian and Selina team up. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten it. But, I'm glad I did because this was so good! Just look at that smile. It's the most innocent I have ever seen Damian.

Plus, the way this issue ends is just too perfect. I really just had fun with it and I'm so disappointed that Selina isn't Damian's step mom right now. I want them to go out on adventures together throughout Gotham and go on saving the animals of the city together. That would be pretty cool.

Superman #6:
Here we go... more of this stuff. I'm not really enjoying what Bendis has been doing with the Superman books lately. It's such a step down from what it was in the previous run that I want to dry heave lol. Lois and Clarke are now awful parents, their marriage is being handled poorly, and the worst part of all is that they Aged up Jon! Why age up the one kid left at DC?

I know I shouldn't be to quick to judge. But, I've given this team plenty of time to show me that I shouldn't worry. But, I am worried. We lost super sons because of all of this. Also, it's become very clear to me that they are doing this (aging Jon up) because they are bringing Kon back. They're also probably going to take away Damian's Robin mantle and fuck that up to. I miss the innocence at the start of Rebirth. I had a lot of confidence with most of these titles. But, as we continue onward it's starting to look like things are faltering again and the only bit of hope is for things to Doomsday Clock to fix the current mess.

Anyways, sorry to go out on a bit of a downer. It's just that I loved Superman Rebirth so much and I miss that. I also feel kind of sad that the batfamily isn't united and it feels like the whole universe is falling apart with no sense of fun or unity left. Maybe that will change but who knows. Anyways, thank you all for reading this. Let me know in the comments below what you thought of all of this week's issue where we can continue to discuss this further! Thank you all for reading this and I hope that you all have a wonderful day!
