Titles Released 11-15-2017

Welcome back to another chapter in the DC Rebirth discussion page. It's a big month for DC Comics. This week we got Justice League and next week we have issue one of the Doomsday Clock comic book. It's all really exciting. So anyways. I'm going to break down what issues came out this week along with the issues I picked up.

Aquaman #30
Batman #35
Batwoman #9
Dark Nights: The Batman Who Laughs #1 (DC Metal)
Green Lanterns #35
Justice League #33 (DC Metal Tie In)
Nightwing #33
Super Sons #10
Superman #35
Trinity #15

Batman #35
This issue concluded the rules of engagement storyline and in it Batman watched as Catwoman and Talia al Ghul had a sword fight for most of the issue. It was kind of cool to see Talia and Catwoman fight. We also get a bit of banter between Damian Wayne and Dick Grayson about why Batman would want to propose. Overall, I enjoyed the Issue and I think this was a nice little story arc and I wonder what King has planned next for Batman.

Justice League #33 (DC Metal Tie-In)
I'll admit. With all the DC Metal stuff going on I end up getting lost with all the tie ins and one Shots. I had completely forgotten that Raven and the titans, and task force x were captured in the first tie-in story arc of DC Metal. This issue was the best in this story arc with Cyborg literally hacking into the multiverse. It's insane. But, this issue also gave the heroes a little hope after all that's going on in DC Metal so far. I mean we know everyone is going to be ok. But, I really want to know how all of this is going to end. (In case you want to know this is going to continue in Dark Nights Metal #4). So you can pick up the storyline from there.

Dark Nights: The Batman Who Laughs #1 DC Metal Tie-In
Ok here we go. Out of all the one Shots about the evil incarnations of Batman. This is the one that I was the most interested in finding out about because of how this Batman has been at the forefront of everything DC Metal. This was easily the darkest of the tie ins. I mean there's been a lot of Dark stuff with DC Metal But this one in particular is one you won't forget anytime soon. In this issue we learn about how Bruce Wayne went from who he was to this point. It obviously involves the joker but seeing how it gets to that point is really messed up. Anyways, I don't want to say much else about this issue. I just think that you should read it.

Superman #35
I love seeing Apokolips again. This issue showcased more of that stuff. Which I like. We also get to see a bit of a civil war brewing amongst those in Darkseid's absence. There's Kalibak and Granny Goodness. Elsewhere, we have Jonathan Kent taking up a bit of a rebellion/leadership role. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure what else I can say about this issue. The artwork is nice, it flows pretty well and I'm excited to see where this storyline goes from here.

SuperSons #10:
Now on to my favorite series in all of Rebirth. Super Sons! Nothing to crazy happens in this issue. It's just a blast to read. I loved this issue. It's just fun to read. The dynamic between Damian and Jon is fantastic. In this issue Both Batman and Superman decided on giving the two kids their own headquarters which Jonathan dubbed "the fortress of attitude" it's pretty great. Also, in this issue Damian learns the hard truth that he's going to have to go to a private school. The same school as Jonathan. His reaction is what you expect. While Jonathan  is all happy about it. The thought of hanging out with Jonathan so much at school is just killing him on this inside. It's great. I won't say much else but I think that if you have to read any Rebirth series. That this is the one to do.

Anyways, that's going to wrap it up for this week. Doomsday clock comes out next week and I can't wait to read it. Also, for the issues coming out next week it none of them involve DC Metal. So we're basically going to be on break from DC Metal until Dark Nights Metal #4 comes out next month. I'm kind of bummed that they're dragging Metal out until February considering how many issues there's been. I just want to get to the ending at this point. Lol. Well, I think I've said enough for this week. If you picked up any issues let me know what you think about them in the comments below and we can discuss them further. Not much else to say but thanks for reading and go see Justice League this weekend!
