Hooray it's finally been released. The book is finished. Holy shit that was a long ass wait. But, the quality of the book is still very strong and the ending of this storyline was an important one.

I think this is a terrific storyline. Yeah the delays hurt the momentum and also the current DC timeline and changes since No Justice have seemingly minimized this book's effect on the DC Universe. But, this book and storyline as a whole was still a very strong and important one that showcases Superman's importance to the DC Universe and why he is so integral to everything. Another important takeaway from this this book is that this is DC a book that was made in response to Books like Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen. It uses the characters of Watchmen to shows the negative effects these stories   have had on comics as a whole. Don't get me wrong books like those are great. But, they aren't the end all be all of things and sometimes we need books like Doomsday Clock to remind us all of that. I really loved how Superman was able to break through Dr. Manhattan and inspire him. Superman's humanity inspired Dr. Manhattan. Something that others had failed at and Superman was able to achieve this. So much so that Dr. Manhattan basically creates his own Superman for the Watchmen universe. It was a really touching ending. Something that will stick with me for aw long time.  Other things to note is that this book gives hints as to events that might be on the way such as the whole 5G rumors and a potential crossover with Marvel Comics. Again these aren't fully set in stone. But, there are definite hints that this could happen. But, we shall see. Overall I think this was a terrific series. The artwork was superb and the writing itself was top notch. I look forward to reading the whole thing again without having to wait for each issue. It's been a long road to get here. But, I'm glad we finally made it and now we can look to the future and see where that takes us. Hopefully it's all for the best.
