You were trying your hardest not to fall asleep, but, you couldn't help it! It was history after all.

You looked up at the clock, 3:12. So. Close! You slyly started packing your pens into your pencil case and shutting down your laptop, not dating to make a sound. As soon as that magic noise rang you jumped out of your seat and shoved all your belongings into your backpack, grabbed your board and dashed out of the classroom.

"Hey! (Y/n)!" An all too familiar voice called out. You stopped in your tracks and rolled your eyes before turning around. "What Jay?!" You replied. Jay was one of the popular kids at your school, and he had his heart set on you. The feelings weren't mutual.

He caught up to you and took your hand into his own. You stared at the gesture, quirking an eyebrow up, looking at both your hands like you'd never seen them before.

"I was just wonder-"

"What do you think you're doing?!" You snapped.

He dropped your hand and continued. "I was just wondering if we were still on for tomorrow tonight?" He asked. You looked at him in disbelief.

"Jay, you invited me to your place and what did I do? Hmm" you started thinking to yourself sarcastically. "Oh yeh! I DECLINED!" You shouted the last part before turning around and exiting the school. He furrowed his eyebrows madly and started after you.

You dropped your board and skated to the skate park, your favourite thing to do. You entered and started skating over the half pipes and railings and doing all sorts of tricks.

That was when you noticed Jay standing right in front of you, blocking your path. Shock overtook and you jumped off your board, gradually coming to a stop.

"Jay! What the hell?!" You exclaimed. He looked mad as hell, he roughly grabbed your wrist. "I wasn't giving you a choice." He said you gritted teeth. You struggled in his grasp. "Lemme go!" You shouted. He tugged at your arm and started dragging you behind him.

"HEY!!" A voice yelled. You ceased struggling just as Jay had ceased walking and looked to where the voice had originated from.

You spotted a boy with a hoodie covering his face, he was unidentifiable even after you squinted your eyes to get a better look.

"Let her go and no one gets hurt!" He threatened. "Jay shoved you to the ground and pointed to you, "Don't. Move." He threatened.

Jay walked up to the mystery boy and they started talking, you couldn't hear them due to the distance between yourself and them but what you saw next amazed you.

The boy in the hoodie punched Jay right in the chin and sent him flying backwards, Jay slowly got up and carelessly threw punched around. The young boy dodged every dogleg one of them and punched Jay in the gut this time. Jay stood up and whimpered away whilst the rest of the boys at the park booed as he ran off.

The boy walked up to you and offered you a hand, which was covered by a glove. You took it and he helped you up.

"T-Thankyou." You finally said. "You're welcome!" He replied, his voice sounded familiar but you couldn't quite place your finger on it. "What's your name?" You asked. "Um....Garfield! Yeh, Garfield!" He said smoothly. "Yours?" He asked. "(Y/n)" you replied. "Nice name. Well, see you around!" He called out before skating with his friends.

You still didn't know who your mystery saviour was but you were glad he was there when you needed him.
