You finished work and your busy day. You slumped onto the couch and was about to doze off for a little afternoon nap when your phone went off.

You groaned and reached out to the coffee table in front of the couch and rolled off in the process. "Ow." You reached for your phone again and managed to grab it this time.

'Hey (y/n), don't forget alright? Meet you aaaat.... Hmm... just walk around the city, I'll find you.' Read the text from Green Lantern.

You rolled your eyes and laughed at how stupid that idea was. He is Green Lantern but it's not like he has super vision and could pin point you in a matter of seconds. . . could he?!

You were about to text back a reply when you heard a tap on your apartment window. It startled you and you nearly dropped your phone. You looked to the window and saw a green glow. You walked towards the window and opened it.

"Hey gorgeous. Ready?" He asked, flirty as usual.

"How'd you find my apartment?!" You asked back. "Remember that time you played dead?" He reminded you with a smirk. You made an 'o' with your mouth as the memory of you climbing to the top of your apartment building came back.

"So. I'll ask again. You ready?" He questioned whilst holding a hand out towards you. You smirked and gladly took his hand.

"What're we doing?" You asked he positioned his hands around your waist so you wouldn't fall. "A little trip." He said before smirking.

He flew away from your apartment and your grip around his neck tightened as your feet left the feeling of touching the ground.

"Haha! Hold on tight!" He yelled. "What do you think I'm doing!" You yelled back. He just laughed at your attitude.

He flew around the city a few more times before he stopped mid air.

"Ever flown before? You know, without an outrageously good looking guy holding you." He asked, complimenting himself on the way. "Uhh, hmm tricky question lemme think, besides a plane. . . NO!" You shouted the last part, slightly annoyed with his stupidity. "Well, there's a first for everything I guess." He shrugged. You raised an eyebrow in question.

Then you felt your heart skip a beat as he let go of you and fell quickly to the Earth. You screamed your head off along the way. Until you stopped. . .

You reopened your eyes expecting to see golden gates to heaven but instead saw a thin sheet of green around you and felt the winds softly patting your cheeks as you flew through the skies.

You spread your arms out and enjoyed the moment. Loving every second of it. He smiled from above watching you, never taking his eyes off you. Making sure you were safe. He did drop you, but he did have a plan. He would never let anything hurt you.

After twirls and twists and flips in the sky you two finally called it a day and he flew you back home.

"Here we are." He said whilst helping you into your window. You turned around smirked at him and then punched him in the arm.

"Ow! What was that for!?" He asked whilst laughing and smiling slightly. "That was for dropping me." You explained. You then crept up to him and quickly placed a small kiss on his cheek. "That was for today." You said shyly and shut your window.

Green Lantern smiled to himself and flew off, happy with how today went. . . and especially how it ended!
