You walked into Aldi hoping to buy some milk, butter and bread for the next morning, it was late at night and you just wanted to head home and go to sleep. You walked through the aisles, holding your basket in one hand with the milk inside and your hand bag on your other shoulder.

You came across the butter and grabbed a tub of it, once you'd gotten everything you wanted you headed towards the register. You grabbed all of your items and placed them on the counter in front of the shop assistant.

"This it?" He asked. "Yup, that's all." You replied. He started scanning the items and placing them in plastic bags. You rummaged through your (f/c) bag and pulled out your (f/c) wallet. "That'll be $32.10." He said. You looked shocked at first but then softened your expression. You were always amazed at how you went in looking for three items but came out with three shopping bags worth $32.10!

You opened your wallet and was about to hand over the money when something happened. The sliding doors to the shop opened up. "STICK EM UP!!" A man with a black beanie on yelled. Three men walked in behind him, all holding guns. You and the shop assistant raised your hands in the air, still grasping your wallet. Your heart beat a thousand times per second.

"Step away from the register!!" Another man yelled walking towards the assistant. He stepped back without hesitation. "Open the register!" He demanded. He did as they said and stepped back again. "Fill em up." The man in the front ordered, the two remaining men walked towards the cash holding a sack. They grabbed handfuls of the money and shoved it into the sack.

Meanwhile, the man in the front walked towards you. "Hey sexy, might take that as well." He said whilst reaching for your wallet. Fear rose inside of you.

Then the glass doors slid open again and a green shadow flew inside, with a giant green fist in front of it. The giant fist flew right into the mans face and knocked him out. "SHOOT HIM!!" was all you heard before all the guns went off rapidly shooting in all directions. You screamed and covered your ears while crouching and hiding in front of the counter.

Suddenly all the shooting ceased and you reopened your eyes. You stood back up and assessed the area, you saw all four men unconscious on the ground bullets lying all over the floor.

"I believe this is yours?" A voice said behind you. You spun around and was greeted by a man glowing green. Shocked, you stumbled back and tripped over one of the bullets, you fell back but landed in a green chair. . . coming from the mans. . . ring? He offered a hand out to you and you hesitantly took it, he lifted you back onto your feet.

"Green Lantern, at your service." He introduced himself. "Um (y/n)." you replied. He held your wallet in front of you once again and you took it, smiling at him. "Thank you." You smiled at him. "See you around!" He waved and flew out of the shop. You stared at him and smiled as he left. You looked to your left and saw the shop keeper holding a shocked expression. "We're friends!" You said smiling as you gestured towards the door.
