Today was the day! The Man of Steel had finally made up his mind and was going to stick to his plan.

He flew to out and to the middle of Metropolis. He then narrowed his eyes and listened careful to all the little voices chattering away. Babies crying. Girls fighting. Bosses yelling at their employees. Not exactly what he was looking for. He kept listening though.

Soon enough he heard what he'd been waiting for.

"Mr Luthor, don't forgot you've got a 5 o'clock meeting this evening." Your voice rang through his ears and he flew to the source of sound leading him to the LexCorp building.

"I've told you (y/n), Lex is fine." Lex persisted. Superman rolled his eyes at his foe. You simply smiled and looked down. When you looked back up towards Luthor you spotted a certain superhero flying outside your office building, behind Lex.

Your eyes widened in surprise and happiness at the same time. Unfortunately, Lex noticed and turned around. Your eyes widened even more, this time in fear of Superman being seen. Luckily enough, Supermans super speed came in handy as he rushed out of the way before he could be seen.

Lex turned back around to face you with a confused expression.

"I was uh, just thinking of something." You explained. Lex shrugged and walked back to his office.

You relaxed and looked back out the glass window, sure enough Superman was back there. He pointed upwards suggesting for you to meet him on the roof. You nodded and told Lex you were taking a 'bathroom break' before making your way to the rooftop.

The lift pinged when it reached the rooftop. You stepped outside and walked forwards, your heels making soft clicking noises with the cement.

You looked around for you hero in blue and saw no sign of him. You turned and kept walking backwards slowly. Soon enough Superman was hovering behind you.

You bumped into his chest and startled yourself as you turned around and smiled upon seeing him.

"Hey there."

"Hi.." You said. No matter how many times you ran into the Man of Steel nothing could stop you from acting so awestruck at his presence.

"So, I've been thinking," he rubbed the back of his neck as he continued, "and I was wondering if you'd want to. . . Go out with me?"

You gasped in shock before saying, "Yes! Yes I'd love to!" Supermans while face brightened in joy once he got your answer. He smiled before starting to slowly fly upwards.

"I'll pick you up from your apartment tomorrow at about 6pm alright." He explained. You nodded your head eagerly.

After he flew off you walked back to the lift, a skip in your step. You pressed the button leading you back to the floor your office lied on.

You spun on your chair as you sat down back at your desk and couldn't wait for tomorrow night!
