Goku x OC
A/N: This is a gift for my wonderful bestie animefan3478 for a Goku x Erisu One-Shot I wanted to make for her. (Erisu is her Oc by the way......)! I really hope you like it!
Being a Z fighter always seemed to have its perks. Erisu almost always had a reason to go off and train; and she had more friends in the recent years than she had in her whole life. Adventure was always in the air, and even in the threatening presence of villains, she were never afraid of anything. Despite all of the action and adventure she has gone through, the calmness of life never seemed to bore her at all.
But Erisu grew up quite shy, and she trained with Master Roshi since she were little. She never really went to a real school, but every martial artist knows that the mind is just as important as the body. When training with Master Roshi, she always made sure she did her written work just as much as the physical. Erisu met Goku and Krillin when they arrived at Kame House, and continued to share her childhood with them. She learned martial arts, she studied, and she interacted with her companion students. Kame school was her whole childhood, and it definitely helped her realize how big the world really was.
Throughout her early life, she only had only three or so true friends. Bulma came and left, and she only spent her summer vacations with her. Krillin was another one of the Master's students, but he focused more on Goku as a rival. Out of all the people she knew, Goku was the closest to her. Whenever she was learning under Master Roshi, she went through some pretty vigorous training, increasing her strength, agility, skill, as well as respect and politeness towards others. When there were times of doubt or times of weakness, Goku was always there to help her stand and believe in herself.
Even after the Master had nothing left to teach the three of them, some pretty amazing things went down in the years after. Erisu entered the World Tournament (Goku always seemed to win, though), and her searched for the Dragon Balls. During her search, she had tried to come up with a wish to ask the dragon. But, she couldn't. She already had everything she needed. She often had shelter, since she were pretty equipped for survival, and when Erisu didn't have simple shelter, she was visiting at Master Roshi's place. She had food to eat, the entire world was rich with that, and, of course, she had Goku.
There was also that huge showdown with Piccolo, but she didn't really get to witness most of it. If she were completely honest with herself, (and she almost always were,) she had been very reckless and that caused her to get severely beaten when she tried to take on the monster by herself.
Over the time that she continued to grow into teenagers and young adults, Erisu soon began to realize that she had fallen in love with Goku. Goku had a certain charm to him that you'd never really be able to let go of. He was strong, kind, pure-hearted, and surprisingly, quite smart. (Contrary to what Bulma believed.) Goku was someone she had grown up with, and she knew that she would never let herself live it down if some other woman were to take him away. Erisu always thought that Goku didn't return your feelings, since he always seemed quite oblivious to the Love Game, but that all changed during the last World Tournament she ever competed in.
It took place a few years ago, but she remembered it fondly. In her past years growing up, she never really made it past the semifinals of the tournament. Even though she never won, she was still happy that she participated. But, the year Erisu and Goku turned 18, she at last made it to the finals. Erisu never really wanted to win the tournament, since that usually meant fighting Goku. But, she was proud of herself to make it that far. It meant she were getting better.
~
In the final round, Erisu and Goku stood on opposite sides of the arena. She fought him evenly for a matter of five minutes, and she fell under from then on. Just as Goku was going to knock her off the edge of the arena, Goku stopped. Along with him, the crowd had gone silent in the confusion that fighting had stopped. Erisu had fallen down, but Goku took her hand and helped her up off the ground , though she didn't really need it. He took her to the centre of the arena, a childish grin on his face.
"What's this?!" The announcer's voice rang through the stadium. "Goku is helping Erisu up! Is this even allowed?"
"What's wrong, Goku?" Erisu asked, certainly confused that he wouldn't take that opportunity to win. She stood up properly, looking up at Goku. It only recently occurred to her of how tall he had become. "Why didn't you just push me off?"
"'Cause there's something I need to tell you," he said, his signature smile spreading across his face.
"Why can't you wait until the fight is done?!" Erisu exclaim, taking the opportunity to start up the fight again.
Erisu swung a punch. Goku blocked it. Kick. Block. Punch. Block. Ki blast. Dodge. She never stood a chance in the first place against Goku. That she knew. But she was just confused at the fact that Goku wanted to speak with her while she were being observed by hundreds of people. The crowd had never bothered her, up until this moment.
"Goku, what are you doing?! Please... just fight me. I worked hard to get to this round and I already know I can't win. Why aren't you doing anything?!" Erisu started while starting to blush hard. To be honest, she were on the verge of tears. It almost felt like Goku was trying to humiliate her in front of fans that had been coming to her and Goku's tournaments for years.
Goku only looked at her, his smile sort of fading. He turned his head to look at Master Roshi, who was sitting in the front row with Bulma and Krillin. She also turned her vision toward the old man, watching him nod at Goku. What was going on?
"Umm....E-Erisu?," Goku finally spoke, gently grabbing her hands. At this point, she was even more confused, but she didn't pull your hands away. The crowd began to whisper behind she. Your heart started to pound, as the redness started heating up on her cheeks.
She could hear the announcer, but his voice was obscured, and she could only see Goku. Everything else around her was a complete blur.
"Since the moment I saw you, I knew that you were special. I learned so much from you, and have always found my chest aflutter when I was around you. I love your jokes, I love your cooking, I love the way you fight, and I love the way you tend to me when I'm hurt. You're everything to me, and you've made me realize that there is more to life than fighting. I love you." Goku looked over in Master Roshi's direction again, and got down on one knee a few seconds later. He looked up at her, his cheesy smile making her giggle a little bit through the tears that were pricking at her eyes.
"Erisu, will you become my wife?" Goku asked, sincerity in his voice. It made her chuckle.
"G-Goku, I didn't know that you knew what a wife was," she say, grinning. "Yes, I will. I will, I will... I love you."
(A Few Years Later......)
"Hey Erisu, you okay?" She hears Goku's sweet voice ringing in her ears. Opening her eyes, she seemed to have fallen asleep. Erisu was currently visiting Bulma's place, but instead of having brunch, Goku insisted on training. So there she was standing in the yard, laying down on her husband's back as he did one-armed pushups.
Bulma insisted on the both of them visiting more often, especially after Erisu announced that she were pregnant. She wasn't very far along, and her bump wasn't that big yet. Ever since she found out about a baby being on the way, Goku even made her stop sparring and doing any major training.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just remembering the World Tournament." Erisu say, her voice a little whispy from what seemed like a pretty long nap.
It was like she could feel Goku's smile. "I can't wait until we become a family," She say, taking a long blink.
"Me neither."
Erisu and Goku were so close that she didn't need to constantly talk in order to enjoy themselves. In the presence of Goku, She had always felt at peace and comfortable. In the warmth of the summer's day, she looked up at the clouds passing by. Eventually, the soft rocking of Goku's pushups lulled her back into sleep.
A/N: WOW! God only knows that this took all day to write down but I hope that this story we be a wonderful gift that I that you will enjoy. Thank you so much for being a great friend to me! Anyway......I hope that you love it and I hope to do more of these in the future! (▰˘◡˘▰)
