You bring the creaky old book up to the shop counter, tapping the tail of a Drillien lightly.

"Excuse me." The shop worker looks up, face shaded by the candlelight. "What is this?"

You may have noticed by now the small, glowing bulbs at the end of a Drillien's tail. This is their glötip, which they use as a form of communication

The glötip is similar to a firefly's belly, where it produces light, but no heat. A Drillien's glötip is used to communicate, to attract a mate, and to light up areas, as Drilliens cannot see well in the dark

To choose the color of your glötip, take the main color of your Drillien, and up the saturation

Then, add a glow effect to it, if it is lit up at the moment
