Something New

I had writers' block for two weeks when I was thinking about how should I write this chapter....

Anyways...

ONWARDS!!!

P.s: There's an Author's note at the end

//////////

I laid there in my comfy bed, but then my head started to ache as if two palms were hitting the temples of my head. My eyes slowly opened from the small migraine, still half awake and half asleep I stared at the ceiling above me. The sun didn't even rise yet, I could see that the sky was a dark blue. Eventually, I got out and the cold floor sent chills up my spine, I when along with my morning routine.

I when to the kitchen and had some breakfast - Which was eggs with black pepper and other seasonings along with a glass of orange juice- I went to the bathroom and washed up and got dressed for the day. As I was about to leave I thought of bringing some cash. I went back to my room and dug under the bed. I took out twenty gold pieces, being that would be enough I left and when to the port.

//////////

It was still dark but I could see the sun starting to peek out in the sky. It was beautiful with the mixture of blues, pinks, purples, and yellows. The touch of clouds made it even more complete. I could see the port when walking down on the stairway through the Mountain layers of the kingdom. cold air softly brushed past me and energized me a bit.

As I finally made it down, I saw the huge ships and vessels float in the water. I walked past them and went to the office of the port. I gave a knock and waited for a response, a few moments later the door opened just a crack and Muir appeared peeping through it.

"Hey Muir, I came in early like you said," I said.

"Ah, (y/n)," he smirked and widen the door a bit. "Perfect timing, you're just in time to meet the new recruits."

"New recruits?" I asked.

He let me in and I saw four figures standing around the office desk. All were male and they stared at me when I walked in. All of them were brawny and muscular except for one. He put a hand on my shoulder and said,

"Everyone, this is (y/n) she a certified worker here for a few years you can go to her or for me if you need any help,"

"(y/n), meet Conor,"

He pointed to a man with short, orange, spiky hair that complimented his green eyes. His short sleeved shirt and pants revealed his well-sculpted limbs.

"Aye, nice ta meet ya lass,"  He said to me with a nod. His accent rolled off his tongue smoothly.

"Kron,"

He pointed to the man next to Conner. he was less muscular than him he was rather pale as if he didn't see the sunlight much. I think I saw some purple under his brown eyes but that could just be the lighting of the room tricking my eyes. he had slick, long, black hair that went down his shoulder. His arm was wrapped in bandages the lead to his finger tips to his wrists. he wore a mid-sleeved button-up shirt, two at the top was unbuttoned and showed part of his chest which seemed to be muscular.

"It's nice to meet you." he looked rather cool and his voice was smooth as silk.

"Xander,"

He was the most muscular out of the group of men. I could tell, he wore no shirt just long pants that had the color of royal blue, leaving his broad chest to be seen. He had blonde hair with yellow eyes. He said nothing to me as his yellow eyes looked at me in a stoic way with his arms.

"And finally Noah,"

He was smaller than the others and had less muscle than the rest. His hair was short and neat and colored dark blue.

His toned stomach showed from his opened vest. His face was relaxed, his golden yellow eyes sleepy eyes showed tiredness and was staring into space. He looked more like a slacker than a worker, but he got a job here so we'll see if he's really all that he appears.

"Alright, that's enough for introductions," Muir said from behind. "It's time to open the port and get to work. There are some things I need you four to do and I expect it to be finished by the end of the day smoothly with no interruptions, do I make myself clear?" I guess he was referring to the four males in the room. They either hummed or nodded in response.

"Now go, you are dismissed," he ordered and all of the males left the room, I followed behind them.

"(y/n), where are you going?" Muir said to me as I stopped in my tracks and faced him.

"Uhh... to the port?" I answered, my thumb pointing to the door.

"No, you stay here." he said to me, which felt more of a demand than anything.

"But you said they could come to me if they needed help."

"I did, but that doesn't mean you can go with them." He said to me, he looked me in the eyes and I felt a rather icy glare from it.

"Well, what am I suppose to do in the mean time?" I asked

"You stay here, stay here and finish all the paper work that needs to be finished here. You're not allowed to leave if all of them are not finished, and you better be done by the end of the day" he said as he moved me out of the way so he could go through the door, and rather rudely too.

"WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" I shouted confused at what he just said. "I can't finish all of this by myself!"

"Then you should've never gotten this job then." He said to me and ended the conversation by shutting the door in my face.

I was left there shocked that he treated me like that, and angry that I was forced to do paper work all day. I stomped to the office desk and sat down, frustrated, but I did what I was told and so I began my work.

///////////////////////////////////////

I sat there in the office for a while now, I lost track of time but didn't really care. I tapped the pen on the desk vigorously as I looked at the reports in front of me. One stated that the ships called Heliotrope from Heliohapt and Mimosa from Imuchakk were delayed by a couple of difficulties. Heliotrope was delayed because they couldn't get their materials in time. While Mimosa was caught in a storm.

Yet there are two ships in our port that are the same model of the two ships that were delayed, not to mention that both ships are the only one that is supposed to be sent here, yet I just got a report that said they were on time. None of the ships had any flags to symbolize where they were from. I was confused by the papers they given to me. I had to submit the reports of the ships today but It didn't make sense on which one to send for both of them were written today.

I needed help on this, but there was no one in the room with me I was the only one here. I could ask one of the other employees here, though I doubt that I'll get much help. Maybe Muir can help me. I went to the door and put my hand on the knob about to twist it and open the door until an icy tone echoed in my head.

"you're not allowed to leave here till you finish all of them by the end of the day,"

I still remember the way he said that to me. He never acts like that, ever. I wonder whats wrong with him today he's usually nice and warm, but after what happened in the morning it got my stomach twist a bit. This was a bit new for me, I looked at the incomplete papers in my hand then at the one that was still holding the knob. I'm sure this gets a pass, right?

I push open the door as I did sunlight hit my face, blinding me. I Shield my eyes from the sudden contact of light. Continuing with walking out the door I heard shouting not too far from me. rubbing my eyes and removing my hand and getting use to the brightness I saw something that set me in total confusion. I saw a large group of people on land, wet or dry helping other people that were in the water trying to get to land. What happened?

I could tell that half of the men had white hair with bronze skin were from Heliohapt, while the other half were rather tall, gigantic with large muscles and long, light blue hair was from Imchukk. Dropping the papers in my hands not caring if they existed I go help the men that were in trouble. I saw a Heliohaptian nearby and grabbed him to land.

"What happened? Are you okay?" I asked him. He coughed as he gasped for air trying to catch his breath.

"The....ships...." he in between gasps and coughs.

"What?" I asked patting his back not really helping his condition.

"The ships.... we were docking then all of a sudden... people were being thrown or pushed off the ships... some were even tied down to weights.... and now they're sailing away..." He said to me and was left shocked.

Looking at the ships that were just a few meters away from the docks. the ramp that was suppose to help people down the ships had been knocked off. The rope that was suppose to help tie down the ships were either not there or cut off. This is something that I never saw before and I didn't know what to do with ships that were being pirated.

"Did you see anyone that was involved with stealing the ships?" I asked the man. He replied with,

"No, I don't think so, but I did saw two men that were not a part of the crew,"

"Really? what did they look like?"

"I didn't get a good look at their faces but I saw that one man had blonde hair, and the other had silver hair,"

when he said that my stomach dropped and my mind was racing. Surely the one with silver hair isn't Muir, right? He wouldn't do something like this... would he?

"Are soldiers coming here?" I asked.

"They should be here soon," He said.

By the time they would be here the ships would be too far from land. Something inside of me wanted to see if Muir was a part of this and I couldn't see the ships just sail away like that. For some reason me being on the side lines watching something I could maybe stop, burned me.

"Stay here and wait for the guards," I told the man and stood up.

"Hey, what are you doing?" he said as he saw me walked past him and to the docks.

"I'm going to see whats going on," I said continuing to walk straight.

Walking turned into jogging, jogging turned to running. I passed the crowd in swift moves and made it to the end of the wooden board walk, as I did, I jumped. Time seemed to move slow as I was in the air like it wanted me to catch a breath before continuing. Time began to move faster as I began to fall. Before I hit the water I was able to grab a hold of a rope that dangled on the side of the ship.

Adrenalin rushed through me when I was dangling on the rope. On land, I heard the gasps and shouts when they saw me. I heard them yelling at me to stop and come back, others said things I couldn't hear. Half of me wanted to go back, telling me that what I was doing it stupid, But another side of me wanted to continue. when I looked back to land it was too late.

If I jump now I wouldn't make it. So I listened to my rebellious side and climbed the rope. I made it to the end and I pulled myself over the railing and landed with a less graceful landing. I scanned the deck but no one was there. Odd the man said there was a group of men that threw them overboard.

I heard something creak and quickly turned around. I saw shiny Blonde hair and a Masculine body, it was Xander. My suspicions on Muir being a part of the pirating rose and my stomach twisted. he looked at me with a threating look.

"What are you doing here." he said to me in a low voice.

"The boats are sailing away without its' crew, I thought I check what was happening."

"It was a mistake for you coming here," he said.

"Isn't that the same for you? I don't think you're on the ship's crew." I remarked.

He went up to me and grabbed me by my arm. I winced and tried to pull out his grasp but it was no use.

"Hey let me go!" I demanded, he didn't listen.

"What's with all the ruckus here?" A voice said, a familiar voice.

When I looked away from Xander I saw Muir standing there, in front of me. I was somewhat mixed on seeing him. I couldn't think of a word that made my face look. Confused? Angered? Shocked? Upset?

"Captain, we seem to have a stowaway," Xander said as he lifted me in the air.

"So it would seem," he said as he saw me dangling from Xander Immense grip.

"What should we do with her?" Xander asked.

"Hmm... I don't know, maybe we should let the others decide." with a snap of his fingers, a group of men appeared behind him as if he had called them for his need.

"Boys, it seems that we have a guest here, make sure you give her a big welcome." He said and the crew walked around as if they paid no mind to him. Xander put me back down to the floor and held both my arms in a strong grip. I pulled and struggled helplessly trying hard to get his grip loosen. The crew advanced and I got scared with each step they took.

"Muir... what's going on...." I said in a low voice, I would be lying if I said I wasn't trembling.

Muir just stood there while his crew advances to me, his silver hair peeking out in the crowd. I freaked out with each second. He did nothing to stop them from getting closer to me. He just stood there, he stood there as if he wanted this to happen. He was smiling at me and I felt no better. The smile on his face made him look like he belonged here, It made it look like he belonged here with them.

(a/n):

I. AM. DONE!

OH GOD, THAT TOOK TO LONG!

IM SORRY I MADE YOU GUYS WAIT FOR SO LONG!

Yeah.... I had technical difficulties with this one. I have a summer program on Mondays, Wednesdays, And Fridays. It also includes a five-day camping trip. Does that mean I'm stopping and putting this on hiatus?

NOT BY A LONG SHOT!

It just takes really long for me to write chapters like. As you can tell by the long chapter you just read. I  have to think how smoothly the timing is with the story, the editing, and cutting, the first draft, finally final draft. It is slightly difficult to write stories like these for those who think it's easy.

...it really isn't...

Anyways.

I thought of two other chapter while writing this one so don't worry, I don't think you have to wait too long. I just need to make the first draft. I hope you guys still like reading this even though I take forever to publish a chapter. And for those who read the author's note,

Thank you ^^

I'm Ani and as always!

THANKS FOR READING!

P.s: Type something in the comments I like talking to you guys.
