Ok, chapter two!
ONWARD TO THE STORY!

On the way to Alders Berry was a scorching road to the second tier of the kingdom. I felt as I was melting on the way. As much I like taking strolls on a sunny day this is a bit excessive. As I was walking there I heard a group of men talking. I know it's none of my business but hey, I was in earshot range.

"Did you hear the gong this morning?", One man asked. "No, I didn't, but if you heard it then that must mean he's back." Another said. "That's a relief that he has returned safely."

That sentence concluded the conversation. I could no longer hear More of the men's chat. Whoever they were talking about I have no idea, maybe a sailor that's a friend of their returning to the kingdom safely.

After climbing up the stairs to the second Tier in the hellish heat I finally reached the shop. I knocked on the door and it opened to see a dark blue hair girl at the entrance. Her emerald green eyes widen a bit and relax with a kind and lazy smile. It was the shopkeeper, also known as my friend Eve.

"Ah, what brings you here (y/n)?" She asked. "Delivery!" I said showing the package in my hand. "Of course, you can put it right next to the counter." She said. "Is Ave here or is she away?" I heard footsteps climbing up some stairs beside me.

"Did someone say my name?" A yellow hair girl with pinkish eyes popped up. "Hi Ave," I said with a wave.

"Ah, (y/n) what brings you hear?" she said. 

"Just dropping a package, how's the shop doing?" 

"It's doing fine, how about you?" 

" Same old." I stayed in the shop for a bit longer to catch up on what I missed when I was not with them, but all that was shared was small talk.

"Hey, I heard that some people were talking about someone returning to the kingdom you guys know anything about it?" I asked.

"Oh yes, I heard about it that too, Sinner is the name of that person or something like that," Ave said. 

"It's Sinbad," Eve corrected. " He's the supposed king of this land and the leader of the Seven Seas Alliance."

"Is that so? Do you know what he looks like?" I asked, 

"Not really, sorry," Eve said. 

"It's fine, I should be getting back to the port. Muir will be pissed if I'm this late, oh! which reminds me, do you think I can get some of that refreshing pina colada you make?" 

"Sure, just a second, Ave can you help me?" 

"Alright," she said, "Can you man the shop for a bit when we're getting your drink?" 

"Sure."

Both of the females enter a room on the far side of the room. As I patiently waited for them to return I heard the bell on the door ring. "Oh, hello how may I help you?" A man dressed in white robes and wearing a turban walked through the front door, his long purple hair swayed side to side as he walked to the counter. 

He smiled and said, "Hello, do you do think you can refill this bottle for me." he placed a canteen on the counter. 

"Sure, which drink do want?" I grabbed the canteen from the counter and turned around to the barrels arranged at the back attached to faucets. 

"Some red wine." He said.

I filled the canteen as needed and gave it to him. "Ok, now since that was just a refill that would be fifteen silver coins. There was a loud bang coming in the storage room. I walked to the edge of the open door, "Is everything ok there?" I shouted down the stairs. 

"yeah just fine!" Ave responded. Both of the girls came back up the stairs. 

"What was that all about?" I asked. 

"It was nothing, here's your drink by the way." 

"Oh thanks, a customer ca-" I turned around expecting him to be there but he was gone. "That's weird, guess he left, he came for a refill." I looked at the counter to see gold coins instead of silver. I counted them and there was fifty of them.

"Did you charge them that much for a refill?" asked Ave who was surprised as well. 

"No! I didn't I explicitly said fifteen silver I don't know why he gave fifty gold!" 

"Well since you sold that person the drink." She put all the coins in a small pouch, "You should get the money," she said casually and shoved the money to me. 

"WHAT?! No! I can't" I shoved the money back. 

"No we insist, take it!" said Ave. her hands were with Eve's and shove the money back again. 

"I only sold a refill I don't get why I get this much!" The money shoving when on to the point we're just pushing each other as the bagful of precious metal was a border. 

"(Y/n), just take it, don't you need to pay rent for that house?" Ave said. I stopped pushing they did too.

It was true I was behind in my payment of the house. That house had a view of the ocean and some of the small islands nearby. The house was a bit over my price range but the landlord cut me some slack and gave me more time to pay the rent for helping her clean the other houses that were in the area, I was some sort of a cleaning lady and that I knew some of the people that knew the landlord, but I was way behind on the pay.

"I do, but-" 

"Then take it!" Ave shouted. Eve handed the pouch to me but I didn't take it. 

"(y/n), just take it, you can owe us later." I looked at the bag with guilt. I didn't want to take money that was from their product. To me, it seems a bit rude, but I needed it. I gave in and sighed 

"Ok fine, I'll take it." I took the bag away from her hand.

it was so heavy...

They smiled, " Now that's over, you should get back to your original job." Eve said. 

"Yeah, I better get going." I walked to the door and turned to them I bowed and said, 

"Thank you for this." 

"You don't have to be so formal (y/n)." 

"Yeah it's no big deal." the girls said. 

"sorry, this is just too nice." 

"It's ok, get going!"

I left the shop and held the bag of fifty gold coins in my hand. I tied the bag to the belt of my pants. I walked back to the port to my original job...

It had gotten a bit cooler after I left that shop. I reached the port and immediately searched for Muir. I found him in the office room of the port where all the charting and files and arrangements of ships he looked at papers not noticing me when I walked in the room. I disturbed his concentration and explained why I was late. He told me that he forgot that I left for such a long time and said that it was alright, but said to come in extra early next morning. My shift was over so I checked out and left the port.

It was now darker I reached my house. I unlocked the door with the key under the mat. I sat down in the kitchen and gave out a loud, and heavy sigh. today was tiring. I had one last thing to do before I call it a day. I went into my bedroom and reached under the bed, there was a big bag that I dragged out and counted the gold coins I got from my other jobs.

"....796..., 797...., 798...., 799...., 800...."

There were 800 gold coins in the bag including the fifty I got today. I put half of the coins back in a bigger pouch and left my house I put on a hood and shut the door. I knew I shouldn't be carrying this much gold at night, I don't even trust myself with it. I continued down the dark road hiding the money in my cloak I finally reached the destination I was looking for. the lights were still on, I gave 3 short knocks and waited for a response.

Shortly after it opened and appeared an old lady with wrinkles and bags on her face. Her soft elderly eyes landed on my face. "(y/n)? is that you? what are you doing out so late outside?"

"Sorry to bother you ma'ma but I have the rent money you wanted," I said and showed her the bag that was hiding underneath my hood. 

"Oh, you could've given me that tomorrow," she said. 

"Sorry ma'ma but if I were to give it to you tomorrow I would be too busy to give it to you by then, may I come in so you can make sure it's the right amount?" 

"Oh, yes, come in."

I entered the house and sat in the living room by the coffee table. she stopped counting the money midway and said, "You know (y/n) you work too much for your own good, you should get a break sometime." I sighed 

"As much as I like to do that who will be there to buy the things I need to survive?"  

"I know but one day wouldn't be so bad?" 

"I know, but I can't take a break you know that." she sighed and continued to count the money.

"Alright, that is the right amount you need to pay for this month." 

"Thank you for taking the time to count this." 

"Oh, so formal it's nothing (y/n), now get home safely and get some rest," she said. 

"Thank you, have a good night." 

"I will," she said and I walked back to my house.

I entered my house and locked the door. I threw my cloak on a chair and entered the bath. After I finished my relaxing bath I when to my bedroom. I dried my hair and found loose-fitting clothing and crawled into bed. I couldn't sleep what happen today with the man and the fifty gold coins were still bugging me. 'who was that man? it's obvious that he gave gold instead of silver. or did he did that on purpose?' I thought. I manage to think of something that kept my mind off of today.

But why do I feel something is off?
