TUESDAY(PART:3)

Please read the author's note at the end of the chapter!

Anonymous POV:

As I walk through one of the most isolated parts of the town after work, I can't help but notice the sky. It is darker than usual. Also it is cold like the touch of demon.

Something about it reminds me of that night. It makes me shudder. I pull my jacket closer as I start to walk faster. I really don't like the vibes this whole neighborhood gives me. It reminds me of that night. All of it. Like a recap of what had happened.

What on earth was I thinking taking this route? I should have called a cab. Maybe I can do it now. I thought.

As I was about to call a cab , I saw two men walking away from one of the isolated alleys. Something about it didn't seem right. Maybe,it was that look of satisfaction on their face or the void of any emotions in their eyes.

They seemed cold.

Maybe I should just go and check once. It won't hurt. But I need to go home as well. Something about it just did not feel right. I finally decided that I should go check. As I walked in the alley ,I let my eyes roam around.

It was dark, isolated, lonely.
As I was going to walk out. My eyes caught something in the darkness of the corner. I started walking in the direction. My hands involuntarily went to my front pocket. As I stepped closer I realised it was the figure of a woman. She was curled up in a ball and was shaking violently. I couldn't make out her features due to the darkness.

" Miss, are you okay?" I asked. I needed to know that she was alright.

Hearing my voice she snapped her head in my direction.
And I saw the face that had haunted me for the last three years. Her blonde hair pulled into a now messy ponytail. Her skin paler then I had last seen her. Her eyes were soft and pretty brown in colour. Her face looked like that of an angel in pain. Her lips looked so full.

It was HER.

HALEY PATTINSON.

I thought she would say something looking at me but she just looked at me as if searching for something. And then all of sudden fell to the ground. I had never seen her in such a situation. So.......

WEAK.

Oh my god! What should I do? Should I just leave her here? Should I take her some place safe? What had happened to her? What should I do? My conscience debated.

It was too cold to leave her here, also , keeping her safe was a part of my duty.

Haley's POV.

I could sense what was going on around me. I could hear voices. I could hear murmurs. I could hear my own heart beat. I could hear my head pounding. But I couldn't open my eyes. To be true I didn't want it to open. Scared of what I might see. So I started to concentrate all my might in feeling my surroundings. I could sense a person in front of me. Also the background was warmer than before.

Somehow, I felt safe again for a second. I hesitantly opened my eyes to meet a pair of dazzling green ones staring at me intently. They were the prettiest eyes I had ever seen.  But it was a short lived beauty as I saw his face. His pretty face. With the best features on him. His black hair were now messy which just made him look better. His face looked more mature with the face now more defined. Every single feature of his face looked perfect from his jawline to his cheekbones to the worry lines on his forehead. Just as I had seen it the last time.

It was HIM.

I started to stand up and walk away from him as soon as I could. I couldn't be in his surrounding even for a second. I just can't. As I was about to run away I felt a strong hold on my wrist, I ,out of reflex, twisted my hands and got a strong grip of the hand that had stopped me, turning the hand I pinned it behind the man with his head  pressed on the table where we were seated before.
" Oh My God! You are just as strong as I remember. Leave me! Please! I can explain." He shouted in pain.

I loosened my grip slightly.
"What do you want?" I asked sternly.

"Hello to you too. Let's start with intro—" he started.

"I have no time for your bullshit so better be quick" I spat. Just looking at him had made my blood boil.

" Okay. Listen I found you in the alley. You looked...very...we...weak. So I thought I should help you and that's the only reason I brought you here. I swear. So please sit down and let your body relax a bit before you stomp out. You need to let your body relax." He quickly explained himself.
I let him go. He took some steps away from me inspecting his wrist.

I fell into my seat again. My body suddenly felt very exhausted. I closed my eyes and let the rage and tiredness settle in properly. I have to think rationally. I am already in pretty deep sh*t.

As I opened my eyes again I saw him reseated in his seat with a worried look on his face as he looked at me. I let my eyes wander in the small cafe we were seated in. It was almost empty. It had a very homely feeling about itself. Something that wanted me to stay here forever. The room was dimly lit. The walls were a very pretty shade of purple. They had images after every few inches. It felt like a home and not just a room. Like the ones with memories and not just business deals.

" Pretty isn't it? I love this place too. But I rarely come here." He said.

I nodded.

" Well.... How about I introduce myself? Myself, Inspector Adrian Black." He said scratching the back of his neck
.
" I know you a little too well for introduction don't you think?" I said with a humourless laugh. "Mr.Black, thank you for helping me but that doesn't mean you can try acting as if everything is alright and we are just strangers. We have a history. One that I, atleast, can never forget. So please just go ahead with whatever you were supposed to be doing before you found me." I said coldly.

" Haley, I know that. It's just the way you were when I saw you. I have never seen you that way before. Something is wrong and I can feel it in my bones. So please let me know if I can help you?" he asked concerned.

" Mr. Black, I don't really think that you have any right asking me that. If you really want to know, I am alright and I don't need your help so please just leave me alone." I said.

As he was about to say something a small child  came near our table and handed me a note. Before I could ask anything he turned around and ran out. I hadn't even had a good look at him.

I averted my eyes from the door to the note in my hand.
I opened it and it had the same handwriting.
